Then there's me who can't overline because the cupid's bow has a sharp permanent line ,which is not the pigment but skin, which is impossible to hide
if you use a darker lip liner apply powder to where you lined it will stop the reflection from where your cupid’s bow is and it will be less noticeable but you should still not over line too much. also avoid glosses because that will highlight the cupid’s bow again but if you want you can apply it just in the centre whilst avoiding the edges of your lips.

Wiggle at the root and pull straight up to the sky, don't wiggle the tips as that causes spider lashes.

I can’t overline mine either. My lower lip is big but my upper is a bit smaller and very sharp … impossible to overline. ;-;
Try using concealer on your upper lip as a base

6:44 I feel like this kind of make-up only looks good on the internet. In real life it would look really messy- with brown line under your lips and smudged eyeshadow all over it you would look like after few hours of intense partying.
Nah, I do this similar look pretty much everyday for work (less detailed) and its really not that messy. It does tend to go away thought after I eat lunch haha so I try and reserve this look for days out when I know I wont be eating much
not really, I usually do it because foundation kinda covers the definition of your lips; you just add it back with eyeshadow anddd if you want a little more of fullness, you just contour a bit more ;)

And i wouldn't take the effort to apply something that only lasts a few hours and is gonna be gone when eating://
It’s just contour. If you don’t know how to contour and blend, yes. It will look messy.

Full lips means both lips are full. If your lips aren’t full, then like the average person the upper lip is smaller than the bottom so it’s quite normal

Can you do a video about lashes for Asian eyes?
there are brands like Doe Lashes and Petite Cosmetics that are makeup brands that specialize in eye lashes made for Asian eye shapes. of course, they still like nice on people of other races, but they're designed for Asians.
Buy half lashes. They look like normal lashes but are missing the front part, they’re easy to apply on monolids
if you're struggling with straight and stubborn asian lashes, I highly recommend etude house dr. mascara fixer! makes my lashes hold a curl all day

The only confusing part for me was the "length" and "width" but that may also be because I watched this at 4 AM...might be better to say "height" and "width".

So basically divide the line of your mouth in half. The half of that line will be used to measure the distance from lip going from the top of your upper lip to the bottom of your lower lip. If the distance of your lip is equal to or exceeds the line you have full, if its smaller then you have thin lips

For people with a darker lip color who feel limited in their color choices plus have thin lips with a wobbly lip line as opposed to a clean, smooth lip line: I have this greacy half lipstick half chapstick thing that suits my lip color very well. It's slightly darker than my natural color and not super different from it. I bought this lipliner that is similar to it in color and shade. My main goal was overlining for fuller looking lips but also to create a clean and smooth looking lip line as mine is rather wobbly and inconsistent. But I also want it to look relatively natural, so doing the lipliner first was too harsh of a look and also the color and shade of the lipliner were too prominent - too vibrant color, too dark of a shade, also looks kinda dry. However, when I first apply the greasy half lipstick half chapstick thing and overline with it carefully and then put the lipliner on top of that greasy overlining - it was much smoother and softer and blended witht lips much better. Lip line looks much smoother and cleaner yet not super harsh and dry. Also definitely leave about a centimeter from the corners of your lips non-overlined and overlune the rest, then very gently blend it, the direction being towad the very edges and not as if you're trying to overline. Looks more natural.

Thanks for this! I have such a hard time finding lip shaping advice that seems to actually work for me as it usually tends to be catered to just the lip shape of the person giving the advice. Seeing different shapes and ways to work with them helped me figure something out that looks good on my lips.

Why? What kind of lipstick you use? Even on budget there are many choices.. that stay for and stays and stays until you remove it will oil based removers..micellar doesn't work.

Other than many makeup videos that just show "standard" makeup techniques or makeup that worked out just for the person in the video you show summaries of many sources thoughtfully put together. That must be a lot of research. Not to mention the cutting of all the source videos and writing of the presentation. Though the videos are sometimes longer than others and contain much information I really enjoy watching them two times and writing down notes for myself. For me it’s not the lower lip but upper lip and it’s so weird to have that kind of lip, and I cannot over line it because I have a sharper upper lip (it’s not the pigment)

@@jia640 I have both lips sharply uneven hahaha and what it's worked for me has been first putting concealer on the external region, including the corner of the lip, and then putting a matte lipstick in the center, smudging it as it goes to the perimeter that you want to get, I would recommend a darker lipstick as it helps disguise the natural shadow of the corner, bringing more attention to the center of your lips. Hope this helps ❤️

ok so lets say we follow that shading lip technique in the morning to do the lips. What happens when all of it starts fading away with your normal lipstick as the day goes on? Do you only reapply that base lip stick colour? or carrying around your lip brush with the shadow shade lipstick and the base chase lipstick as well as the milktea eye shadow and concealer

I have round lips with a soft “M” shape and they’re full-ish? A little fuller wouldn’t hurt, but I’m more concerned about width. I wish lip widening was possible lol
