    Thanks! I really miss this type of tutorial video-so many of my favorite beauty UA-camrs just do review after review of new products and gadgets. I don’t think most people can buy new makeup every week, whereas a lot of us enjoy learning new ways to use what we have. You are so talented and natural in front of the camera!

    Wow! This tutorial is really different than any other I’ve seen- and I am so in love with that! I love that you thoroughly explain everything, including using a slightly darker liner in a COOL shade (instead of just over lining your lips in any color or matching your lip color) and then going in with a slightly lighter color. I think the blending with your finger is everything as well. I super appreciate how you shadowed in the corners of your mouth too. I’ve never even seen that before. This has got to be the best lip tutorial I have ever seen and I have watched so many. Thanks as always for bringing so very much to your viewers - you are a star! Take good care of you and your beautiful family.!

    I feel like so many people overlook lip liner. But lip liner is the best way to adjust the shade, add contour, ect. You can use the same lipstick with 5 different liners and it'll look different with each liner. Love you Allie. You really do bring joy to makeup routine.

    I am seriously sick of the overlining the Cupid's Bow thing. A sharp Cupid's Bow was always a sign of youth and beauty. Nowadays, people overline it to mimic the overfilled, ballooned out trout-pout lips that have been cosmetically filled, because cosmetic procedures could never recreate that sharp, youthful line. I love all the creators I watch, but I'm so sick of seeing a giant splotch of lipliner in their Cupid's Bow, as if I don't see their lips are overlined. I will never do that. I always accentuate the Cupid's Bow. I think it's a beautiful part of anyone's face. I love that you aren't doing that here!!!!!

    Would you consider doing a video on showing us how to correct an overdone or “too much” eye makeup. I.e. when you don’t have good lighting or got carried away and all of a sudden realize it’s all just too much! Or is the only option to remove it all and start again?

      @@emilyanne9513 Hi, Emily Anne! Nice to meet ya. The filler (1 vile) just didn’t make a difference. I’m reaching out to the dermatologist’s office to find out what can be done. I think next time I’ll go with Juvéderm. This time I tried a product called Belotero and I think Juvederm would be better and probably last longer. I am investigating. But I must tell you those first two days while my lips are swollen, I was ecstatic and I think it took about five or more years off my look. So, I still want to follow through and get it done again. I think because it was such a big decision for me, and I waited so long, I’m not gonna give up now. You’ll have to let me know how it goes if you decide to do it :-)

    • @emilyanne9513
      @emilyanne9513 Рік тому

      @@valeries4525 that’s really frustrating but i’m glad nothing bad happened. maybe they can just do it again with a different one and it will work. i’d definitely talk to them and try to redo it if possible. it’s not cheap though so it’s frustrating that you can spend all that and it still might not work. i’ve definitely heard much more about juvederm than belotero but i don’t really know what the difference is between them.
      i know a lot of women who have had filler and really like it. the thing is just that you have to be moderate about it and not go overboard. a little looks great. a lot looks bad/fake/overdone.

    Please do this with a few other colors, like a red, a pink and maybe a berry. I think this is very interesting and I love the science behind it but I don't think I look great in a neutral lip color. If I'm going to do that, I just tend to go with a lip oil or something more temporary but I'd love to see how this works with other color combinations and what shade you'd use for the liner with each or if you'd use the Stone one with all of them? Thanks for any and all help.
    Take care and big hugs, k

    • @ashleys4652
      @ashleys4652 Рік тому

      I think the brand is one of the most important things. Get one that is creamy, yet long wearing so it doesn't bleed. Urban Decay and NYX Line Loud are good ones. You can also try applying your lip liner, fill in the lip, then spray setting spray. Let dry. Apply your lipstick as usual.

    Does anyone know of a cool brown lip pencil, I got one by Nyx Mechanical pencil called Sand beige it was way too dark and looked like I was trying to do the Choala lips ( excuse the spelling) it's Spanish word that they call female gang members like here in Texas. I like the mechanical lip pencils for my purse so I can touch up but use the ones you have to sharpen at home. I also had the one by NYC called Vanilla sky which looks too peachy. ( hopefully I didn't offend anyone, I wasn't trying to).

    What color of the lip liner? Plz tell me

  • @emoreland
    @emoreland 11 місяців тому

    I don't know if it's just me, but this would not work for me. First of all, the first time I take a drink or eat something, the lipstick would immediately rub off. I've tried everything. In the past when I've tried putting lip balm underneath lip stick, the lip stick never sticks. Lip pencils and regular lipstick don't last long with me (even without the lip balm). I have to use long lasting lipstick like Cover Girl Outlast or lipifinity where you put the lipstick on first with a wand, then wait one minute and put the top coat on. If I want any lip liner, it's got to be a lip liner marker. Putting lip gloss on top of any lip stick, even the long lasting ones, makes the lip makeup come off. I don't know how you get all of this to stick. I think my lips are too hydrated or something. I have to dry them out really good scrubbing them, then drying them really well, and sometimes putting rubbing alcohol on them really lightly and letting it dry. It's the same as doing nails. I have to rough them up first, dehydrate them with alcohol and then paint them.
    In addition to what you do, I've seen some people line the outside of their lip liner with white liner (smudged in like you do) to bring them.
