Hey guys! Today on my channel we are reacting to some entitled karens caught on camera getting put in their place! Entitled people posts are some of my favorites to react to on this channel, and I wouldn't be able to do the entitled topic justice unless I jumped on the entitled Karen bandwagon. Enjoy :)

I can second this. I loved my mother dearly, she’s passed away, but she was a Karen of monumental proportions and blissfully unaware of how her behavior affected others. They are very conscious of how people treat them, but aren’t to concerned with how they treat people. Also, it seems like the worse they are the more unaware.

I love how customers think they can talk rudely to employees and get away with it. And a lot times they do because we’re not supposed to say anything back. A few years ago I was working at Walmart part time for some extra money and I witnessed so many Karens pulling this. One time I was giving the door greeter a break and an older couple set off the alarm. I was as nice as I could be, saying that the cashier probably didn’t deactivate the security tag. The woman stood there and cursed me the entire time. The husband stood to the side and didn’t say anything. She had bought a broom and I had to take it out of the cart to get to some of the bags. After I deactivated the tag, I handed the broom back to her and asked her, “Do you want to carry it or ride it out?” She stood there gaping in shock then her husband very calmly told her, “Well, you asked for that one”. I walked away figuring I would be fired but nothing ever happened.

I recently went to dinner with my husband and his sister and parents and we had some of the worst service. We met there at 6pm, and the place was pretty dead. We had a younger waitresses and another was near by at times because it appeared she was still training her. All kinds of issues ensued. When she brought my water she poured it all over my purse and the table. I was gracious and didnt get upset. She gave my father in law a bottled beer instead of a draft, then later gave my sister in law a draft instead if a bottle. Neither complained. We ordered 2 hors d'oeuvres and the first 1 came and it didnt look exactly like i thought it should/would but shrugged it off and we all ate some. Then maybe 10 minutes later they bring the 2nd plate of appetizers and the waitress spills the food all over the table (it just all slipped right off the tray when she tried to set it down.) For a second she tried to scoop it all back on and then said "you might want to do that." and left. I did and said nothing, but after she left everyone refused to eat it since it had been on the table. (My husband worked as a manager and bartender for many yrs and said he knows how well tables are cleaned and hes not eating it.) We sent it back and said just take it off our check. Then awhile later (just before we finally gout our main course) the waitress brought another tray with food, and it turns out she had brought the wrong appetizer the first time. (The 1 we were eating.) Which is why it didn't look right to me. Lol. Ironically none of us would have realized if she hadnt brought the correct one. (We waited 45 minutes before we got our first appetizer btw.) And then about 30 minutes after that we finally got our food. And remember the place was dead. Its not like they had a ton of orders. Anyway we eat and about 5 minutes after getting our dinner the waitress brings the check and lays it down. None of us had reached for it because we had jist started eating. Then about 5 minutes after that the waitress appears and says "Are you guys ready to pay?" 4 out of the 5 of us still had forks in our hands eating and we all stop and just look at her in confusion. (Ive never had a waitress do this before. Specifically when they see were still eating. ) Finally my husband , who was done eating, said "theyre still eating....." She just says Oh.... ok. And walks away awkwardly. It was the weirdest thing. But even so, none of is complained once. We realized she was new and businesses are having a REALLY hard time hiring help. They cant keep anyone right now since the govt upped unemployment benefits. Everyone found ways to get fored so they could stay home and still make money. So anyway we understand how hard is. Its that way everywhere around where we live.

That's not true, in a literal sense. Rotting fruit contains the chemical that gives vinegar its pungent smell, so flies think it is food, whereas honey is just sugar and they can't smell it from as far away. Mix one part apple cider, red wine, or malt vinegar with one part water, add a drop or two of dish soap (to break surface tension so the flies fall in), set it out in an open container and I promise you'll catch more flies than you would with honey.

The curry was served in a little 3-legged pot, on a platter, with a bowl of rice & accountrements. So the customer poured all the curry out the pot onto the plate, and spilled it ALL over his suit and tie. He went bananas, swearing at all the waiters and the maitre'd, intimidating everyone, causing a scene, and insisting he'd need his suit replaced. So my BF went over and asked him how old he was, and if he needed instructions on how to eat a curry. His girlfriend was falling off the chair laughing at his stupidity - or maybe from embarrassment.

As we went to escort them out of the now locked door, along comes their mother. She of the phone call. We open the door and she waltzes in and goes straight to the shoes she wanted to buy despite our protests. We escort her and her shoes to the till where she proceeded to complain to the three people now held up by her about our lack of customer service. I just write down our regional managers name and phone number, gave it to her and told her she could ring him and tell him she wasn't happy with the service she received when the store was closed. Oh and to not forget to tell him that she had now made one of us miss her bus and I would have to drop her home and be late picking up my daughter from after school care. We closed fitting rooms 30 mins before the store closes, so fitting rooms were already closed, and they just would not leave. I actually had to get kind of stern with them because they were not getting the memo. I offered to hold their items behind the counter overnight for them though lol. The mall security was also really strict and would get very angry if you did not open or close on time and if it got back to the company you opened or closed late oooooh boy you’re probably getting fired. Had to open on time due to contractual obligations obviously but closing late can be a really big safety hazard to retail workers-especially in the area I live because it’s a high human trafficking area and they need to have the mall closed at a certain time.

Playing devil's advocate here, but if you advertise you are open, but you aren't serving, isn't that false advertising? Yeah, showing up literally at closing is crazy, even for fast food etc. You should give prep time so it is done by close.
Just because you expect it to be quiet and get a head start on cleaning and that is your normal procedure doesn't necessarily make it right. I understand the desire to get out of there asap though.
Does a craft store tell customers that they won't sell them anything just before close because they have already organized and counted the till? Hmm, come to think of it, the major retailers used to announce and give a count down to close, *then* lock the doors, usher people to cash and get them on their way, not shutting down before close.
I understand the frustration, but isn't it normal to have that time after closing scheduled for the "reset"? Perhaps, like many drinking establishments with kitchens, there needs to be an advertised schedule. We are open until blah, but the kitchen closes at blah.
I do phone tech support and know the angst of the last few minutes before shift end when sometimes I get the long call just before hanging up the headset. My record so far was about 2 hours overtime. However, I can't just quit taking calls 15 minutes before the end of shift!

    • @dreadfairy6963
      @dreadfairy6963 3 роки тому +2

@@patrickbuick5459 you do realize that it's the owner and managers that will not allow the employees to stay long after to clean up right? They expect you to clean AND prepare food in the last hour or so of open hours. They do NOT want to pay employees for hours of work that they are not profiting! Which makes complete sense. Employees could easily take advantage of this and clean very slowly after closing. If the restaurant closes at 8 then your shift is prolly like 12-8 or something. The owner/manager isnt going to play that kind of game when you are consistently getting paid for an extra hour every night. I'm sure on busy, slammed nights every once in awhile they'll let is slide, but that's honestly a waste of time for one HELLA ENTITLED customer. If a restaurant says it closes at 8 then no other customers are coming in! So you expect an entire staff and kitchen to stay open for ONE entitled b*tch?! What if she decides to take her sweet entitled time too? No. Just no. Also the staff have lives of their own, so if they know their shift ends at 8 then they may have made plans or have families of their own to make it home to! Plus servers generally don't even make minimum wage, they make servers pay, which is only like $3 or less per hour! They bank on running multiple tables at a time and collecting tips to make a living wage. If you don't understand this stuff you should prolly not speak on it. A restaurant is way different then a tech support workplace. Tech support has no overhead or multiple employees needed in order to serve A SINGLE customer.
This wasnt a scenario of a customer showing up at 7:45 and being turned away cuz they close at 8. She showed up AT closing time. They're closed! It's a different story if the customer is already there with their order in and staying a bit after close, which most establishments will accommodate.

I was waitress at the local Ramada Inn restaurant, awful job! Paid $1.80 per hour and tips, when I got tips, they were usually a coin or two. For some reason, most people didn't consider it a real restaurant even though it's a sit down place with menus. Women in business suits were the worst, very demanding Karens who didn't tip more than a quarter.
I got lots of creepy men acting like I was on the menu too (mostly married men traveling without family), and would give me their room numbers and say disgusting things to me (I was 17 at the time, so that would be a crime, and GROSS!!).
One guy grabbed me by the arm and refused to let go until I gave him my phone number. I had memorized our local police non-emergency number so I gave him that. Heehee!
I had a favorite customer, though. She would only get pie and coffee, usually before she went to work at a nearby jazz club where she sang and played piano. She ALWAYS left me a $5 tip, more than pie and coffee cost.
I went to see her a couple of times after I turned 18 (legal age to drink in TX back then) and loved her music and sense of humor.

I worked the closing shift. One night, 10 min before closing, a drunk delta-bravo pulls in to order. He was so drunk he could barely get his order out. He was also abusive and the girl taking the order (that we all treated like a little sister) ended up in tears. One of the guys took her place confirmed the order (cheeseburger, lg fries and a lg soda) and got D-B’s money.
We threw a patty on the grill for 30 sec, dropped the fries into the fryer for 20-30 sec, and filled his soda halfway with pickle juice. We used 4x the condiments on the burger.
We bagged it all up and passed it out the window. As he drove off, we got his license # and called the police to report a drunk driver. I don’t know if he enjoyed his meal or not, but he didn’t come back.

@@MsOriginalKelly if you watch the whole video (not included in this video) you'll see that it was exactly because the lady was racist.

I’ve seen this one a few times, and actually all I saw was someone who wanted to just have the person she trusted do her hair, there was no mention of race. A lot of ladies are like this. She was wrong to hit her, but I think the hairdresser was being pretty aggressive prior to that.

@@Solitude11-11 well who wouldn’t be aggressive if you got hit.
So If was in that situation and someone was being rude to one of my employees i’d be furious it’s the employees jobs to work not have to deal with entitled Karen’s. And if she can’t respect that then she should probably go to a different hairdresser

You are correct she did not use abuse in the full version, but in this video the stylist gives wider context and expresses her opinion that the customer did not trust the stylist because she was Mexican.

I worked customer service at a Casino. We had different levels of customer loyalty. Ever time a player said they would go somewhere else. My response was if that what you want to do. Dead silence than I thanked them for calling.

😂🤣🤣Loved your reaction to the drink being tossed back on the drive-thru Karen... I ALWAYS love this in videos when window staff do that. Even though it will likely cost them their job... STILL worth it though. Service staff shouldn't have to give up their dignity. ❤

I was just talking about that with a coworker of mine. It's so bizarre when you think about 'wanting to be liked by everyone.' Especially when being disliked by 'the right' people is essentially a badge of honor. So don't ever worry about pleasing people. Let people filter themselves out from your life if they want.

I *love* seeing Karens' getting their just deserts lol. Loved the due eating those people's fries and then throwing the bag at them lmfao. "We've been waiting 25 minutes for this food." OH NO...how horrible lol.

I work in a supermarket cafe and someone tried telling me they'd been waiting 45 mins without being informed of the wait, to try and get it free, when I'd served them personally 10 mins before before switching with a colleague and running food instead 😂😭
