- Finally DreamWorks' The Wild Robot has reached the UK and with it my early reservations from first impressions of the trailers can be put to rest. Whilst I assumed it would be good, and artsy and have all the praises in the world yeah yeah yeah. There was one gripe I had that I thought could have made the movie better had it been included. But having now seen how the actual movie turned out.. I can fairly say that I Was Wrong About The Wild Robot...

...What a great week for animated movies it is right now!
And now the sequel has ALSO been announced, are you excited for it..? Or think this should have been a one-and-done?
Already?
Hell yeah
Quick damn
Yeah! YES!
OH REALLY?! I genuinely want to consume every ounce of this story, I wanna get the book too cuz I adore this movie
The perfect masterpiece to send off in-house productions at DreamWorks. The cast and characters are perfect, it's not afraid to show nature being as cruel as it is beautiful, and the emotional beats hit so hard. I love Fink's character development and the scene where Brightbill leaves on migration and Roz catches his feather makes me tear up every time.
I think the fact that the robots pull guns on the geese is meant to represent how they are programmed to shoot anything that isn’t there master a.k.a. human, but never encountering human animals her master/friends
DreamWorks can be very frustrating cause they're inconsistent in their movie quality. But when they cook they GIVE A FIVE COURSE FIRST CLASS MEA!!!
But when they don't... god it's awful.
Sony Pictures in a nutshell:
Don't worry, one can get used to it
I don't understand why people wanted this movie to be silent. It is very, very hard to do something like that well. This is one of my all-time favorite animated movies. Dreamworks knocked it out of the park once again. This, Transformers One, and Inside Out 2 are easily the best movies of the past two years.
I ugly cried in the theatre
I was prepared for that
It didn't help. Still cried
"I miss her when she sleeps too"
A reason for being a sequel movie is that the wild robot movie is based off of the first book and there are 3 books. And yes, the second does go more into the human society.
wait there are THREE books? I thought there were only two
the mother's death was sad in the second book
I mean, when I watched the movie, I felt like it messed up a few of the parts in the book, but besides that, it's a good movie.
You know what else you should watch?
Transformers One! A fully animated movie on Cybertron, which takes a look at the origin…where they could have built the future together.
@@DeenBytebro is a walking add😭🙏
The movie doesn’t have to be an exact copy Of the book
@@DeenByte Bro why are you being a walking billboard lol.

As someone who read the wild robot pretty much when it first was written, I was surprisingly pleased with how it turned out.
This is not only an amazing swan song for Dreamworks in house animation projects, this is a phenomenal film to celebrate dreamworks animation 30th anniversary. A beautiful story, awe inspiring animation, and very relatable and memorable characters. What Wall-E is to pixar is what the wild robot is for Dreamworks animation. 9.6/10
The Wild Robot 2: The Wilder Robot
“2Wild2Wilder”
The second one is supposed to be titled “The Wild Robot Escapes”.
Sorry if I ruined your joke.
Same as the book
@@unknownchoujin1436this movie covered both the first and that one i’m pretty sure
@@KingCrimsonRequiem336 The second book takes place mainly in the human settlement the movie ended with.
The fact someone even has to say they were "wrong" about this movie is wild, because all it took was the first trailer to make me cry
Me too.
This movie was so good, Chris Sanders deserves the best director Oscar
One of the only movies where I managed to cry 5 times in a row (with an additional 2 by both teasers), IT IS TRULY A MASTERPIECE!!! 💖💖💖
I may not be a bot but I’m still gonna wake up just to watch this!
You should watch Transformers One instead!
@@DeenByte I prefer "Rescue Bots."

i just saw this movie today, and my first thought after finishing this was simply: this is my favorite movie this year. period.
If you want to see the performance of silent characters, there's "The Untalkative Bunny."
Btw have you heard of Flow? Its a silent film and it seems really cool look it up!
Don't underestimate DreamWorks movies.
unless it's the annoying minions. then thats the one acception.
@@CreativeSteve69 but it isn't.
@@CreativeSteve69 Minions isn't dreamworks
@@CreativeSteve69That's Illumination.
@@CreativeSteve69wrong company
my guess is that the corporation that is creating the robots just say that they’ll never hurt anybody as a way to pretend the company is a lot friendlier than it really is
I don’t exactly get why people wanted the movie to be silent, like the animals literally talk in the book too.
I swear The Wild Robot & Transformers One 2 best animated movies of 2024.
Inside Out 2 is good but the amount of safety nets/redundancy from first movies story beat. Pulls down film for being.
I still wish for a review of the 2000s film Dinosaur.
The fact this movie is getting a sequel is just amazing, this movie is beautiful, and i'm looking forward for more!
This movie is absolutely excellent.

@@DeenBytebro, ur everywhere
After the disappointingly average Kung Fu panda 4, the shitstain Megamind 2, and the probably ok Trolls 3 (I'm saying probably because I don't really have any inferest in watching it), this movie was absolutely beautiful. I hope this gets Dreamworks their 3rd best animated feature academy award
I watched it and it was amazing, and it made me laugh cry and made me terrified when Roz was attacked by the bear
The wild robot is also getting sequel and then probably another one after that!
Well, it is based off a trilogy of books, so I expected it to get a sequel
I love how this video comes out as I go into see the perfection that this movie is
Let the book fans get their trilogy. If the story is there it's great news
The wild robot is one of the best animated films of this year in my opinion it is number two only surpassed by inside out two how the movie ends I think is glorious and I would be happy if it ended right there and nothing more came from it but at the same time I am over the moon happy that they are continuing The story too and PS watch robot dreams if you want a silent film and watch robot dreams with the wild robot and just a dash of some music trust me you might just run out of tears 😭💗🤖🦆🦊
Pretty sure people that cried in the theaters are the ones that didn't read the book. Not saying that's a bad thing, just a thing from my own observations.
Also, since they're doing a sequel, I'm willing to bet they are going to stay as loyal to the books as they did for this one. The first book ended with Roz returning to the factory, so they made the movie end that way. Let's just hope that loyalty isn't thrown out the window.
i went on a class trip to see the movie since last year, we read the book and did a bunch for essays and stuff about it.apparently everyone cried except me when we watched it.
I still can't see this film until 25th this month
OH WERE YOU?!?!?? 😑
The sims 2 pets music is bringing me back 💀
Such a good movie I’m carious what there going to do for the sequel
I hope this movie saves dreamworks

Wow its almost like the rest of us knew and you wouldn’t listen, im not.. bitter./j
ONE MINUTE HOLY FRIIIII
You could do a video on them potentially making a hotel transylvania 5
too bad we can't do spoilers on UA-cam, so I'll just say there was one part in particular that was peak cringe cliche, but dang it if I didn't cheer. I live for that stuff. That's when I knew this was a movie that truly got me.
But yeah, super solid movie and I'm glad I only watched one trailer of it in the beginning. Really subverted my expectations of this being "Dreamworks Wall-E" that way. I was also disappointed at first that the animals all talked, but it won me over quickly with that early, cruel nature humor. It also helped that outside of Pedro (as a main characters), it felt like all the cast talked as much as the movie needed them to. You know in other movies you'd hear Mark Hamil bear and he'd pop up for half the screentime to get the most out of the casting with witty one liners. Not here.
If Onward was the "Dreamworks movie made by Pixar", The Wild Robot really feels like "The Pixar movie made by Dreamworks", Which I can't really say about any other movie (HTTYD Gets close but still has that obligatory celebrity comic relief issue in 1 and 2).
Wow I’m early
