I think the point he's making is. Making a good film isn't about 4k or other techical stuff. You can shoot 1080p 120 just fine on older Fuji cameras. @@drchtct
@@BurningBroadcast yes and no. Of course you can make a great film at 1080p, but these 6k shots are on a different level. The difference in sharpness is insane. We’re not talking subtle differences between some bitrates here.

Started watching your channel over the past month. Playing catch up. Love your channel. Learning a lot. I retired to Japan (Kamakura) from Chicago (Chicago Pole). Today I bought my first Fuji camera X-S10 at Mapcamera. Almost got the X-H1 but when i got more money than expected,I moved to XS10. Interesting, my first wife of 25 years(passed away) her father was from Kagoshima and mother from Hamburg. My wife had a rather unique growing up. Since, I’ve remarried a woman from Nagano (met in Chicago)and now retired to Kamakura. I worked in Semiconductor and RF Wireless for Japanese for 40 years. Your character really comes out in your work. Keep ‘em coming. Do you schedule meet ups when in Japan? Would enjoy listening to your experiences in photography and what influences your work?
Such a great video Samuel, and a pleasure to watch. Your scenes of Portugal were stunning and I noticed I didn't get distracted or wanting to speed the video up. It held my attention. Thank you for making and sharing. Your work and style inspires me. Hope I can buy an X-S20 soon. Happy travels!
This was a great review even before Samuel even said anything. Super showcase for the camera, the lens, but in particular for Samuel himself. Gorgeous photos, videos, and family ❤
Turismo de Portugal should pay your holidays in Portugal… Besides the brilliant presentation of the XS20, you capture wonderful images from a lesser known part of my country. Thank you and congratulations!
Amazing, delicious video clips, music and photos without too much talking. Relaxing like a cozy movie. Thank you. I like how on 7:30 minute background music on piano harmoniously merged with street music on video and then back again.
I have never gone back to re-watch someone's travel video until now. The colors on these shots are amazing. The quiet is noted. I am a Sony shooter and will be chasing this look the hard way. Maybe Cobalt image can get into LUTs. Keep up the great work!
it is!! Near this village (Marvão) there is a stunning road, almost no traffic. On that road I took photos of vultures, deer, foxes ( all from the car)...at night you can take great pictures of the night sky.
I rarely comment on videos - but the first two and a half minutes are really perfect. Excellent sense of composition. This can be seen with one out of a thousand UA-camrs. The photo with the child and the cat and the children in general reminded me a lot of Sergio Larrain's work.
Hi Samuel, I'm following from a long time and I have to say, I love the intro video, the color, the way you capture the still moment, the music and mixing photography, I was blown away, bravo bravo ! Wish you the best.
Looks great. I recommended the X-S20 for my brother who just got it. Was a pleasure to shoot with. I’m inbetween this an the X-H2S atm for my own hybrid.
Loved the intro, best thing I've watched on UA-cam in a long time, very evocative, makes me want to be in Portugal again. I'm so undecided , I want to buy the X-S20 but the EVF is putting me off, I'm definitely leaning toward the X-T5 as I love photography, not so much videography. Anyway great video as always !!!
Hope you enjoyed your stay here, it definitely seems like you've had a blast! I've had a chance to give the X-S20 a try and quite liked it as it's similar to my X-T4. Well done!
This is how every camera focused video should start, you just broke the code. I'm getting this camera now, and subbing to this channel ❤ I need to go back to Lisbon, those shots of pastel de nata got me drooling 😍
Very impressive video. Loved the introduction and as others have said, you skipped all the specifications and just demonstrated to us what this camera (and your creativity) can do.
Came for the camera and lens review, fell in love and inspired by the longest cinematic intro ever. Amazing vibe and makes me want to make the same!! ❤
This video feels like it was specifically made for me. I lived and studied in Lisbon the past 2 years and looking back I wish I had a camera to capture all of these amazing moments. I did some photos and videos with my smartphone, but let's be honest, it's not the same. And I feel like you often look like a stalker with a smartphone while a camera gives you a legitimate filmmaker look. So yesterday I bought the Fujifilm X-S20 with the Sigma 18-50 and can't wait to be back in Portugal soon, and take some high-quality videos and images, even though it won't be the same without all colleagues from uni. Anyway, for the next adventure I'm prepared, and your channel has helped me to both decide on Fuji and on the Sigma lens, thanks. By the way, 3:2 open gate looks amazing on my 16:10 laptop, finally a video that (almost) fills the entire frame.
I've been watching and reading a few others' reviews on XS20 until I found your review and for me its the ultimate factor of my decision to get one, someday.
absolutely mega. I own the x-s10, now it's clear: I'm upgrading! Most of all I was wondering about the good sound. At first I thought it was the Sennheiser on the mk 400, it wasn't until I read it a second time that I realized it was the 440 and I have to say there is an incredible difference. This stero really blows your mind.
Lovely work! My X-S20 arrives in a few days. I can't wait! I'm also going to order the SmallRig cage. I have one for my gripped H1 so all the rails and accessories will work. We hope to get to Portugal soon. My third great-grandfather was kidnapped when he was a young teenager and when his family didn't raise the ransom, he was sold to a merchant ship. After several years, he escaped when they were docked in Richmond Virginia.
I loved the video! Thanks for the upload Samuel! Portugal looks beautiful -- i'll definitely have to add it to my list of vacation spots! As a sony shooter, you're making me very curious about fuijifilm! hahaha cheers
This intro...come on. You make me wanna spend all my money on your exact gear. 😂 ...like my X-T3 and X-T4 haven't done already enough damage to my bank account. But really, this was the most breathtaking and relaxing video footage I've seen, lately. I bow before you, Sir. 🙏❤👏👏👏 Now I need to buy that Kamlan 28mm F1.4 and that diffusion filter...after already having to buy the new Fujifilm 8mm F3.2 in a few days. My bank account is in agony right now.😂💀😭
I want a small camera, something like Fuji XS20, Sony A6700 or the next possible Nikon Z50 II. Mostly for photography, some basic 4k or even 1080p video at 8bit (no grading afterwards). People in forums trash the Fuji autofocus and that could be a concern in some scenarios.
Nice vibey video man, looks good. Recently bought the XS-20 too.The image quality and features is ridiculously good to me, considering the price point. Such a nice tool to have.
I bought the Fujifilm x-s20 few days ago and I am trying it out since but only for photos. Friday around 15:00 I was out taking pictures for around 20 minutes in the sun (30+ C) and shadow and I got that little yellow icon and the message: CAMERA IS APPROACHING STANDARD TEMPERATURE LIMIT or something like that. Saturday evening it happened again, this time i was not in the sun! I never got this problem on Canon or Panasonic! And I was not filming, just taking pictures. Searched online and found that there are others too with this problem, only taking photos! Now it seems strange that in Portugal, filming in the sun, you didn't get that message. Is it possible that some of x-s20 models have the problem and others not? Now, another question: How long can I continue taking photos with that warning on? I am shooting events and I can not rely on something like this. I like the image coming from this camera very much but this overheating from only taking pictures is something that I never heard of. Any advice will be welcomed. Tomorrow I am calling my retail shop to ask more about this. Thank you!
Hello I am interested in the answer you get from the retailer and Fuji As I have tested one X-S20 in a Fujifilm X Series Tour in Paris and after 30 minutes only taking photos with no burst at 26°celsius I had the same warning until the end of the 1 hour test. I was very pleased with it except this that currently prevents me from buying it Many thanks in advance for your answers

You can achieve amazing high quality shots with almost any cam in the X-series. It’s really down to the user experience with them at this point.
