  • Block sanding made easy…….well more like what sand paper grit and block to use for the smoothest and quickest results. Working on project mockingbird and getting very close to final paint.

Great job on explaining all the hand blocking that needs to be done for a great paint job people really don't realize how important this step is for a great panit job at the end and it's totally a different skill not easy to master but by the looks of things you have mastered it and I can say that because I seen your cars in person thank you for sharing your knowledge Jonathan it's really appreciated

Thanks! I am excited to see how my black bird is going to look after using the linear block. If it turns out great it will be totally worth it.

the round dura block that looks kinda like a paper towel tube works great on those contured body lines on the fenders and quarters on the 69. I love it.

I bet it does. Both the 1969 Camaro and bird have that radius lip on the wheel well

Great idea using a white sealer after finishing metal work.
Thanks for the tip on metallic paint and 600 grit too.
My car will be 1967 Pontiac "Fathom Blue Metallic" (someday).

Thanks for braking it down. Liking the black guide coat. If it’s needs more high build, can you paint over the guide coat or does it need to be removed?

The answer is I don’t know. It doesn’t say in the directions either way. I normally just fill or primer over it. Now if it was areas that where completely black and untouched by sand paper I believe I would scuff the area out with a Scotch bright pad the apply filler

Man I was pumped when I saw they made Hard Mountain Dew. Then I saw it said zero sugar so I was skeptical. Had to try it though and I was right, zero sugar made it suck I thought. Could have been great but I’m not a fan of the artificial sweetener taste.

It didn’t blow my socks off. I did hear a rumor that the orange Mountain was discontinued ☹️ I have not confirmed that but that will be a sad day.

What does Vinyl Village Garage stand for?

Well it’s from here in the Midwest we call the housing editions vinyl villages because they pop up quick and everywhere and the houses are vinyl sided. Since I live in a vinyl village and work out of my small garage that is where vinyl village garage came from. But when I picked the name I didn’t put in consideration the most of the world doesn’t know what vinyl village meant
