The biggest problem with this argument under the idea of nofap being a religion is that the benefits are supposed to be told to and from the perspective of a person addicted to porn, and not the average Joe. It's like saying to someone who occasionally drinks alcohol in moderation that quitting alcohol won't have much of an effect on their life, that's pretty obvious. Nofap words the benefits as if they are "benefits", but really an addiction to pornography simply brings your productivity levels down. When you stop masturbating, those levels of productivity ARE going to return to normal levels. This wording here could dissuade somebody addicted to pornography to not pursue nofap because they believe it won't do anything, despite the fact that it might fix them and not benefit them

To be honest, while I get it that the whole "you don't need a study to know it works" argument will always be easily destroyed by a person that can cite specific studies, it is just simply the truth in this case.
Fom my years spent in and around evidence based fitness, I'm too aware of the limitations of studies and even meta-analyses. Unless some extremely well done studies were done in masses that paint an overwhelmingly clear picture, the lack of scientific evidence just simply doesn't invalidate an idea.
Drug trials are different; those are experiments that can answer specific questions. Topics like this are just too complex for that stuff.
*NOTE: I'm talking about erectyle dysfunction and nothing else, I don't care much for the confidence and all the superpowers. I'm very open to the idea that all that is just placebo.*
The type of erectyle dysfcuntion that nofap is intended to address - and for what I used it myself - is very specific, and is very easy to spot if it happens to you.
    Basically, it goes like this:
You have the same level of attraction and interest in real life partners, and you even have the desire psychologically to pursue sexual intimacy with them. Yet, when you get down to do it, you simply aren't getting turned on. It's like, you mentally want it, but that part of your brain that turns you into that more instinctive creature who could run through a brick wall just to have sex, is simply not switching on.
Meantime, you don't cease to find your partners attractive, so the whole thing is just hard to wrap your head around.
It has nothing to do with shame or guilt, or whatever, it's simply the non-responsiveness of your brain.
It's not hard to see how this happens: unlimited sexual stimuli, virtually, from porn sites, and an always available "partner" that you can reach with your right hand. (well, I'm left handed, so...)
It's the same process - I would assume - as what we have with hyper-palatable food, whereby eventually you can't even appreciate the taste of a nice fruit salad, because it tastes like cardboard (after eating cheesecake for too long).
Abstaining from sexual stimuli (and with that, from porn, of course) was the only, and really the only thing that helped many thousands of men.
Could some of it be placebo? Sure. Is all this compounded at some point by performance anxiety? Most probably.
However, there are too many glaringly obvious signs that your brain is basically being misconditioned:
    - the only times you're turned on by a partner might be if you can successfully imagine yourself being part of a favourite porn movie of yours.
    - while you're completely impotent with real life partners, you're still very potent in front of your screen
    - your sought out porn videos have escalated into some pretty deviant shit.
All that is to say that, as seemingly ignorant and arrogant it is to say, I'm very comfortable saying that if studies don't support this, it's simply because we couldn't design good enough studies to test this...yet.
Let's be skeptical and let's think critically of course, but I say, let's be cautious with jumping to conclusions, especially if the conclusions are negative about something that really have only a potential to do good. Personally, I'll forever praise the day where I accidently came across some UA-cam video talking about the whole porn-induced-ED concept.
Because it did get my sex-life back, and with that, my dating and love life as well.

Agreed! Certainly from an erectile dysfunction / dopamine dysregulation perspective, as you say, we don't need to wait for meta-analyses if there is a clear mechanistic link and epidemiologic clues.

U r right to most extent. Well, i would say with confident that it has a profound effect on every part of body.
One of my friend shared his story. He had tremors and shaky legs and he was very much worried about that. But some mysterious thing happen once when he visited a religious seminary for about 40 days. He saw a tremendous surge in energy and his tremors amd shakiness gone. When he came back he was full of energy and became a good practicing muslim .
Lateron, he came to know that it was this bad habit he left which made all the difference. So praise be to Almighty God who told us in his 4 holy books to abstain from the sinful act and then u ll find peace. And it is absolutely true.

You get the same benefit practicing abstinence from video games and junk food if those are a large source of dopamine release for you. Of course you feel more confident and have more energy, of course you think more clearly. You're getting over an addiction. Has nothing to do specifically with "fapping"

I'm a married man and I'm 7 years younger than my wife I'm 47. She is going through life changes but I don't want to cheat on her because of my male needs. She don't do any service not even on my birthday. In 4 years we only been together sexualy only 2 times and both of them I've the one that initiated it. She says that although she feels attracted to me she sees me more like a best friend and a companion than as a man. That hurt me but I did understand because we do have a very beautiful relationship except for that. I want to have relationships but I don't believe in forcing my self. I do handle the 🐍 but is because my gym bag 🎒 hurts but she doesn't even care if I do or don't is very confusing because I want her not juggling the baton. How do I approach this situation.
She is my queen but I feel like a beggar.

One issue is that homophobia is not a clinical term. It is a political term. No one is diagnosed homophobic. It is a political term used to label anyone that disagrees with any homosexual agenda. For example, if you are against gay marriage you are homophobic. You can make the most rational and logical argument against gay marriage and the response will be you hate gays and are homophobic. While there are people that truly hate homosexuals the term isn't reserved just for them. It is used for anyone who disagrees with the homosexual agenda for whatever reason. You should point that out.

You're conceptualising no fap through logic here. I find it really odd that people who never been committed to it for at least 90 days speak about it like experts of sorts. Try and see what it actually takes, what changes it creates to your body and character, how you react to people and how people - especially women - start treating you. It's a different universe altogether and no, serious nofappers don't write about overwhelming superpowers, yet drastic changes do take place.
Long story short - challenge yourself, doctor. Do it for 90 days solid, without relapsing and see for yourself. And then come back and tell us your story, and see whether you still will be saying the same things as in this video.

One pretty much always lead to another and more than not done in excess as it's so pleasurable, which numbs your dopamine receptors. That means that normal life activities which used to bring joy in your life when you were a kid simply cannot make you happy anymore because that modest amount of dopamine they produce cannot excite your dopamine receptors that got used to massive amounts of dopamine that porn and masturbation generate.
If one stops these habits then eventually these receptors recover and regain their sensitivity, allowing you to start enjoying little things in life once again, as dopamine they produce is finally felt with your brain, making you happy in turn.
