Do any solar panels come with it at that price? Their website doesn’t mention that or the cost of additional panels.

Hi, one single solar panel cost $429, with the code:solar30 save $30. While if you buy a bundle of 4 solar panels, the price is $1199, which cost $299 each.

When I ordered I asked about a deal on their folding panels. There was a good discount available if you wanted to purchase 4 or 8 but nothing really for a single panel.
However, their website offerings seem to change daily as I can no longer find that pricing and now there is a slight discount on 1, 2 or 4 panels.

That is a great sign it's a well designed product when the power station does not shut itself down when the wall AC unit's compressor kicks on. I had a Goal Zero Yeti 6,000X that balked at starting a similar wall AC unit--- had to buy a soft start device on top of the very expensive 6KW power station.

Funny, we are similar. I dont just “like” but crave: peace and quiet, I don’t even like the TV on plus I’m not a big TV watcher. I like a simple lifestyle, little to no clutter, financial independence and no drama. I choose to drive a 1998:Ford Ranger 4x4 as my daily driver. I too would love a small and simple living environment and really, an overall minimalistic lifestyle even though I own a 45’ Holiday Navigator, but I could easily downsize, sell our house and live in the RV and be in heaven! My wife and kids are the opposite…lots of noise, commotion, an inordinate amount of “stuff”, love shopping, spending lots of money on unnecessary “stuff” and having a huge 7400 square foot home. My wife drives a nice Mercedes. My solution is that I go camping a lot with just my bulldog, enjoying a simple existence and the peace and quiet out in the boondocks. Enjoyed the video!👍

For those who wanted to install a lithium setup in their small to medium RV.
Well, it looks like they will avoid the install headaches of roof mounting panels and all the wiring that goes along with it. As long as you have the space, it will be great for most RV setups, or even for the nomads that livein their SUV's with a small trailor.
This can also be used for other situations for or homes and offices.

We would rather not have a big generator. If you need charging 2000 Honda would do the trick and stay pretty quiet. Solar panels on the roof, big unit where easy to plug in, and AC (probably split system rather than roof type), and freedom for boon-docking. The industry has to make the changes now and catch up with technology.

    Great, great review video.
Very nice score of $5-6K of equipment that's well made and super useful for many things. Because it's got lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4 is the chemical formula) batteries, it has a much longer life than Jackery's non-LiFePO4 lithium ion chemistry. LiFePO4 is one type of lithium ion battery, but is rarely called that, because if it's LiFePO4, no company wants it confused for being 500 cycle lithium ion when it is 2000 to 7000 cycle LiFePO4.
Regarding 12V vs 48V, it doesn't matter what the internal voltage is, seeing as you never connect directly to it, always connect via input/output charger, charge controller, inverter, DC-DC converters, USB electronics, etc.
They chose well when they sent you one. You did a great job of testing/showing what it can do. A lot of influencers just read whatever the promo materials say or a script, without actually doing tests/appilcations of the product that people want to see. The number of useless reviews I've seen of the Jackery 1000, 1500 Pro, 2000 Pro, various Bluettis, and so forth is astounding. Some products are better than others, and useless reviews don't help anyone figure out which is best for them.
At around $1 per watt hour, this Mango E is not cheap, but neither are other things at around the same price point, most of which are inferior in terms of either power specs, port types, or power input/output rates/times.
I'd sell most of those pricey 200W portable panels, or save them for use at remote worksites you go to in the Prius. I'd cover the roof of the cargo container with $50 used, clunky panels from Santan, for everyday charging at the shop. Maybe epoxy them right onto the container, and chisel them off or just leave them, if you move without taking the container.

Think the biggest concern is the use of mosfets for daily use for a tradesman. Use of cheaper mosfets means longevity issues that will turn this into a large paper weight instead of using transformer for the inverter. The trade-off though is efficiency. Mosfets provide more efficiency.
There's a reason why modern refrigerators don't last as long and aren't serviceable like the oldies from back in the day.

I have a 30Kw Kohler whole house generator that is set to automatically exercise every two weeks and runs on natural gas so it never runs out of fuel. So far this year, it has provided backup power for 14 hours. The only maintenance I do is change the oil and filters (oil / air) once a year and ensure the coolant is at the correct level.

You know there are complete lines of tools from many manufacturers where you don’t need to use 120v power. Yes, battery powered tools! What a concept! I have gone completely “cordless” for my tool solutions. I’m a DeWalt person, but any will do, as long as it works for you. Getting the RV over to “cordless” now. Going to take about a year as there aren’t the pieces I need yet. Yes, I know there are companies for this - but I want a different solution than the piece it together setups. The solar panels are not what I need yet - not enough output for the size. Look at solutions like the Bluetti AC500 units with B300S packs. Finding the panels is the problem! Looking forward to your solution! Thanks for the sharing and time to give us what you know/do!

How about calling the landlord. Ask to install a power pole along the property line for several 20/30/50A RV outlets. A 200A house service will power 2 of those, maybe 4 if they only draw 50A per box, more if each is less. Repeat for the diesel repair shop.

Build a solar setup on a box trailer, panels on roof and on the sides with hinge frame. Look for 300-400w used panels they sell for less then $100 each. Inverters, controllers, battries, backup generator with transfer switch and breaker panel all in trailer. Portable and self contained.

They can still start back up later on after a few days. Electric cars are a little scary to small fire departments, an electric school bus is even more scary. I do not hate electric vehicles and batteries just they come with more risk than some other things.

I have been using solar generators for several yrs boondocking. I have 4 so I can rotate and use portable panels and have endless power
I can clean and move to get the most out of portable suitcase panels.
I only wish someone would invent a heater that will heat 150 Sq feet and have no fumes or smoke to worry about. One using no propane, diesel or wood and run off one solar generator weighting about 30 lbs. for 8 to 10 hrs.
Weight is the factor for any full time RV er. .

James I have questions. Perhaps over the next few months of testing this new power in a box you can address them. 1- Can those solar panels be mounted on the roof, is that wise? 2-Can you use any brand panel with this box? 3- If I want to run my 15,000 BTU a/c and my 3-way refrigerator at the same time will this work (and how long will it last if the box starts at 100% charge and still connected to solar to charge it ((is that doable)? 4-If I only have 400W solar is that sufficient to keep the box powered? 5-Then why would need a generator?

@@AZExpert not really you have the car and can still use it as normal. But you can power pretty much anything off it for a fraction of the cost. $640 aud ebay inverter and $800 aud in batteries if bought new. And uses 1/3 the fuel of a traditional generator. Far from the $3100 usd of the mango power e that will only run for 3hours with the a/c on.

@@rogerhewett2539 There are many ways to hack anything, but I think you misunderstand my needs. If I were to go full Prius Vanlife, I would definitely consider it, especially as I have a solar roof. The manuals are so Greek I can't figure out what I need to do to avoid sitting dry docked with no power and not to be able to start the damn vehicle. Given the system, I should be ok, but don't have a clue. maybe you would get stupid high views how to survive for a week. The manual is Greek and uh sorry for any implication there. Awesome stuff bro. please visit floriduh to inspect my forza roof. peace.
