Great series of videos on repairing this 2003 RV. It's surprising to me how much you are willing to share of the repair process. You're a great informer for the industry.
It was amazing to me that the roof isn't fastener at the edges, but only caulked in place. That's incredible to see that the design was adopted based on the knowledge of what will happen when the sealant fails ( = roof gets blown up and pulls away). Not a small failure mode.

Funny how many people we came across that flat out said no to a legit inspector checking there RV's we were interested in. Always enjoy your videos, I've learned a lot watching you. Thanks!

Order from Winnebago? We tried to get pricing on their sofa and was told to go through the dealer since they no longer sell to the public. Called La Mesa in Tucson and the sofa was priced at $5600, that’s right your read it correctly, $5600! We ended buying a Thomas Paine tri-fold sofa for fraction of the price.
Great work James. We’re thinking of upgrading to another RV. I will sure give you a call for an inspection. 😎

The roof is absolutely gorgeous. So much better than the mess you got to repair. Amazing job and attention to detail, James. No doubt the cost and necessity shocked the owner, but they also learned a hard lesson. But in the end the RV they are getting back is now safe and secure, and not a ticking time bomb that would create more repairs. What was the name and contact information on the skylight company. I’ve got one that will probably need to be replaced shortly. We’ve learned so much watching you. Thanks so much.

You guys rock!!! Everything you did on the roofs I agree with and admire your finished product- all but one thing- using silicone instead of butyl or putty tape-----I have done roofs for 35 years, and thankfully, lap sealant came along, to back up that eventual failing seal. Only putty and butyl tape gives and fills dips and uneven spots. and seals with minimum pressure. sometimes two layers are better than one. Keep up the fine work, and sharing the knowledge!

I don't know if you will see this message but I have a 1985 Ford E350 Yellowstone 40th anniversary model with a 460 carb motor. It is 26 ft long and I believe it is 7 and a half feet wide. It has been stored an a building for 30 years before I bought it. It still has the original aluminum roof on it but the thing is I don't know if I should paint it or put a rubber roof on it or what.
So that is why I'm asking you.
This RV is in very good condition when it comes to the roof, the paint, the stickers or paint going down the sides. Nothing is faded, or cracked. The interior is in very good condition and is all original and actually quite nice. It had the 2 chairs on one side that swivel and has the table in between that you can lift up to eat on or play cards or whatever you would want to do. The other side has the couch that has a weird way of making it into a bed. You grab the back of the couch and it flips around and goes in front of the couch to make a bed.
If course it had the cab over bed and there is no leaks what so ever.
The kitchen is a quiet good sized kitchen. It has lots of space and has a good 5 ft counter that separates the stove from the sink and the refrigerator is on the other side and the bathroom is in the back and is in very good shape.
Only problem is it will turn over but wont start.
I would like to know what to do with the roof but at the same time would like to know if you could help me see what is going on with it.
My ex was the one that kept bugging me to buy it and he said he would get it going if he got to borrow it. Well it's been 3 months and it still is setting and for the last month he has been not only a liar and not keeping his word but an azz.
So if noting else maybe you may know someone that would like to buy it. I have already bought many parts and put on it.
If I happen to hear back from you I will write all that I put new on it and if you know someone that would be interested in buying it I will give you the price. I'm only wanting what I have in it.
If someone buys it and is able to triple their money then great. I would be happy for them. But you won't find a cleaner one in this kind of shape anywhere.
When it comes to parts to fix the 350 issue if there is any like with the motor parts. Those I can get but with the rv part it's self, you won't find any, any nicer.
Hope to hear back from you for at least what should I do with the roof. I don't want to take a chance of anything happening being it is not in a building anymore.
    Thank you in advance.

Good video! Thankfully, I have not had my Winnegbago Filon blow-off yet. I have kept the radius tuck sealed, but I have many areas where the glue failed and left bubbles. There are some things I can do, like adding solar panels to help hold the sheet of Filon down, but I would still have the bubbles in other areas, and I can't make the entire roof a solar panel. I purchased my Winnebago J35 new in 2007 and took good care of it. It still looks great, except for the roof. I am in the process of trying to find a shop to have the Filon replaced. Really sucks.
