I swear, only a woman could make a coherent UA-cam video with a baby strapped to her chest! And the baby was so calm and good. For a few minutes, I started to think it was a doll because he was just sleeping away. Even when the mixer started going, he was placid. I was sure the noise was going to scare him but he was next to his mama and felt utterly secure! You can tell that’s a well-loved baby. I’m delighted with the simplicity of the hand cream recipe, too. Thank you!
Have been following both you and Lisa for years. Thank you for being such wonderful examples in homemaking and the Christian life. During the last tumultuous few years, your programs both calmed my soul as well as educated me (at age 67) in so many areas I was unaware of.
I got the arrowroot powder, jojoba oil and essential absolute rose oil. I’m waiting for the shea butter to set up. My Mom loved roses and rose scent so I’m making it to remind me of her.
Is this like whipped body butter? I really like the whipped butters for my body but they are too oily and melt easily even with the arrowroot. Im trying to find a less oily creme and lotion. I really appreciate that you measure in cups and teaspoon, and tablespoons. That truly makes it so much easier for me so thank you for that!! Can you show me where I can find that on your page. Thanks
Since seeing your videos before I've been making my own lotion all winter and we love it. It feels good being a family of 6 to know it saves on cost and you are putting natural ingredients on our children. Thanks for great recipes!
Hi Laura, I love this hand cream, made it a few times and gave presents. I love to use Cocoa butter, Shea butter and Coconut oil. But it is difficult to know how much of each, I try to fit it all into a cup but should I weigh each ingredient and have accurate quantities ?
I bought all the stuff to make this, and I was wondering if I can use it on my face and body as well? I am looking to find a recipe that is multi-purpose. Thank you so much for all your wonderful videos 🥰!!
First video I've seen of yours and I can't get over that precious baby swaddle and then those little precious eyes looking up after he/she woke up! Dang I wish those swaddles would have been around when I had my babies. LOL! Soooo cute! Now I have to go back and watch alllll over again so I can actually pay attention. LOLOLOL!! Just kidding. This was an excellent video! Thank you so much for sharing! Subbing because I love your teaching style! Can I use something other than mango butter with my shea butter? I have coconut oil & palm oil for hard oils. And I have olive, sweet almond, and castor oil for liquid oils. I'd love to try a small batch with those to see if I like it but body lotion and body cream how to videos seem to be less available than cold process soap, hot process soap, and liquid hand soap base do. Edit: Can I use a preservative so when I try this, it doesn't spoil over long storage times or is that not necessary since there is no water?
Just discovered your video. One question... after the butters melt do you place in the freezer or refrigerator or both? Your video indicates you do both. For how many minutes do you place in freezer/fridge?
I tried to make a smaller batch so I used only 1/2 cup shea butter and halved the other ingredients too. It turned out solid. Like I need a tool to scrap up some to use. Can I remelt this one and add more jojoba oil?
Question: Hi Laura I have a problem. I made this hand cream recipe but used lavender oil, and used olive oil instead of jojoba oil. This morning it is hard. Can you help me to know how to fix it?? Ty!! :) :)
Hi Laura, I am so interested in natural ingredients and diy natural products. . Is there a difference between hand cream and hand lotion and hand moisturizer and body butter ? the ingredients are more or less the same but you gave a few different videos. what is the best for a good hand cream in cold weather ? thanks so much
This one would be great!! I have several different recipes and they all have similar ingredients. On my blog, I write out which ingredients are best for certain things! That may help you choose which ones is best for you!
Question: Hi Laura, I just started making your amazing recipes. Love them!! So my Question is, do these ship well, such as this hand cream or the anti ageing moisturizer? Like from Arizona to Texas? Ty!!! :)
Check out Ellen Ruth Soap, she has a recipe that uses all of these and uses ounces so it’s easier to be more precise. I made a third of her batch and it was easy to scale down because of the weight measurements
I made this just as you said and I put a tablespoon of arrowroot in here and it didn’t stay moist and stuff it got a little bit on the Hard it was creamy till I added the tablespoon of arrow root, what did I do wrong?
Dermatologists do not recommend using essential oils especially if pregnant and/or prepregnancy because of safety and irritation concerns. Some people are even allergic to certain ones. Citrus essential oils can burn your skin if exposed to sun.
@@dishasanghvi So she knows more than a dermatologist? Do research, then recommend product ingredients with cautions if needed. Definitely recommend sunscreen.
If you're allergic to an essential oil then saddly you have to discover that yourself, also the oils that she adds on every recipe are the one she likes, you can add what works for you.

Hello. Is it possible to make a solid version of this hand cream by adding beeswax? Thanks.
Yes, you can, here is the recipe: www.ouroilyhouse.com/the-easiest-homemade-lotion-bars-with-essential-oils/
Thank you!
Just discovered your video. One question... after the butters melt do you place in the freezer or refrigerator or both? Your video indicates you do both. For how many minutes do you place in freezer/fridge?
Hi Laura, can we add some beeswax in the mixture to make it less greasy? And if yes how much?thank you for your perfect recepies,🌹😊
I've read you can add arrowroot powder to your creams to make them less greasy.
Thank you 😊
bees wax would turn it into a lotion bar would not make it less greasy
@@ram1brn so the beeswax (if adding a little) would make the cream more firmer or thicker? Thats what im looking for
How long do you leave in the freezer?

It's dangerous to expose a child to essential oils in this way.
If you have enough knowledge of the essential oil, it’s not dangerous.
