Thank you Todd. Appreciate your enthusiasm and knowledge. As a resident of WV, I have been a fan of Arnold Palmer for years. (Latrobe PA is about 1.5 hours away) Was fortunate to be in his gallery when he played in his last US Open at Oakmont in 1994, and attended his clinic when he opened his Stonewall course in Lewis County WV in the early 2000's. His love for his country, his fans and the game were so evident. He just exuded confidence, humility and charisma. I will always treasure the moments I had to interact with this great man.
Could not have said it better myself. Great story and post, thank you!

Loving your videos from Antigua in the Caribbean. Your tips for the Driver have saved my golf game. Especially that tip to raise the handle a little higher at address, that tip was GOLDEN. 🙏🏾🙌🏾🥇
Great to hear! Our pleasure, you would benefit from our book THE BAD LIE if you want to learn more about the Vertical Line Swing.
Allan Patrick - New Brunswick Canada Love this. It all makes so much sense and WORKS. A warmup trick now for me is to just concentrate on weight transfer back and through, including a big hip turn. Then when I add the club and make the shot, it all becomes fluid and I can accelerate through impact without the disconnect I had from "getting quick", which is th arms getting ahead of the weight shift.
Great post Allan. Hope you are doing well!
Todd, I’m in DeLand, Florida. Thanks so much for your tips 😅

John B here from South Africa. I get everything you say step by step. It makes sense too. I am a 7 handicap golfer for years and 60 years old. I regularly go to the driving range here in Bangkok to try things and I watched Rory M's driving swing a lot. I absolutely cannot believe his power and then his perfect balance at the end of his swing. Your tips are great, thank you. I always use to fade the drive most of the time, thinking I am not transfering my weight to the left enough to get the draw or hit it straight for that matter. I am definitely going to implement those 5 x steps and see what happens. Thanks a lot!
John, great post, thank you! Nice to hear you are enjoying the channel and finding it helpful to your game. If you enjoyed this video, you would really like our book THE BAD LIE where we cover the Vertical Line Swing in detail. www.badliegolfbook.com/

Im 71 from Dublin Ireland. You remind me of a local pro (since passed) who taught most of those tips, especially the strong grip . He was a great fan of Arnold Palmer too! He used to say "I would be out of business if people remembered what I taught them" .

Solon, OH!
I live on Vancouver Island in the city of Victoria, the capital of the Province of British Columbia, which is the mostly westerly Province of Canada. Victoria is on the southern tip of Vancouver Island. To give you an idea of how South West. Think of the US, Canada border. It dips south to allow all of Vancouver Island to be in Canada. Back when they drew the border, Canada was Britain. The port of Victoria was very important to Britain because of trade but more so militarily. Funny thing as the crow flies, we are about 70 miles from Vancouver. As the Seahawk flies, we are 70 miles North of Seattle. The Seahawks are my favorite NFL team, and the Vancouver Canucks are my favorite NHL hockey team. It rains a lot in both Seattle and Vancouver. We here in Victoria live in the rain shadow of the Olympic mountain range. Fortunately, that means we get less than half the rain of Vancouver and Seattle. I hope that gives you a good idea where I live. These are good golf tips. The one I need or should incorporate is the tiny step forward with your front foot and a larger step back with the back foot. The rest I do. A long time ago a much older friend of mine got me to change my grip. He wanted me to see two and a half to three knuckles. We are/ were members of the same rugby and cricket club. Nick was a teaching golf pro. When we met I was captain of our rugby team The Castaways, the cricket goes by the same name. Mostly because I played rugby for 23 years I have been fighting serious knee and back injuries. I would not bring it up but I am getting better and these past two weeks I am hitting the ball close to the sameway I did before the operations. I only played 3 times in three years. I was a six before then. I am half a club shorter right now which is fine. The good news is today at least half my shots were back to my distance. Ie my 5 iron is 180 yards then and today. I have Ping i3 clubs from 2002, they are very nice. I am quite sure the loft of my 5 iron are now what the loft of 6 irons are. Am I right. Yes I did hit the line and subscribe button because these were all good tips for me a 61 year old Sr
Bob P from Appleton, WI (Near Green Bay) Hovering the club keeps the tension consistent. If it’s lying on the ground, you add tension when you pick it up.

I have been using your golf tips for a wile now and they have been very helpful. I’m a 69 year old high handicapper who just got fitted for new golf clubs for the first time in my life. I am looking forward to getting my new irons. I learned a lot about golf clubs during my fitting. Big difference between standard clubs and fitted clubs. I just learned about drivers. I have a Calloway epic driver with all the adjustments. I’m looking forward to having my fitter adjust my driver. I’m almost sure it’s adjusted wrong for me. Any comments on driver adjustments?
The key is finding the right club for you. Many clubs bought "off the rack" are not for senior golfers with slower swing speeds. You can also check out our MaxVert driver and you would benefit from reading this www.badliegolfbook.com/
Thanks for the tips. Currently in Germany.
Welcome! How is golf in Germany?

Yes, one of the cornerstones of the Vertical Line Swing. We cover all this in our book THE BAD LIE which you can find on Amazon if you want to learn more.
Turn 60 nxt month, started playing at 33, 5 hcp. Strong grip, avg 250 off the tee. Great tips, on point. Especially that hip turn. Fitness is huge as well, I can turn like Im 30. My swing thought.... low and slow, make a good turn, stay behind the ball.
Great work, keep it up. You would enjoy our book THE BAD LIE which you can find here www.badliegolfbook.com/

Allan Patrick - New Brunswick Canada. The VLS setup and swing naturally help me hit the ball straighter but tempo is my enemy. Occasionally the tempo is right and i swing easy, stay on the ball, and hit it further. Most other times something in the tempo goes awry and I lose sight of the ball, come out of the shot, and contact is awful. Do you have a tempo tip?

Beautiful courses, cheap memberships. $1.80 for 50 balls at the driving range. Every course requires a caddy usually less than 12.00 for 18 holes.
sounds great!@@williamtheadventurer8048
Great video! Help me understand the purpose behind the high finish other than “…that’s how Arnie did it”. I’m sure there is a strategy behind this.

Does the driver you advertise come with different shafts and if so what shafts do you recommend for different swing speeds
are you a golfer from USA ?
Aussie - regarding your bonus tip - there's a Jackie Burke video (about 'throwing the club') that explains to always grip the club with the head off the ground, otherwise you don't "engage the arms". This might explain why your bonus tip works.

I saw a very young Arnold play a match against Sam Snead at Old Forge NY. I expected Arnold to be a bigger than life guy and Snead to be an older smaller guy. Snead was huge and Arnold looked to be about 5’8. My hero looked so small next to him yet beat him that day.

Try the simmons theory. Never practice hitting balls with the ball tray in front of you. Rake or place each ball one at a time to a position in front of you. Take multiple balls out of your vision of sight. This will take the anxiety out of hitting multiple balls and will improve your tempo and rhythm. Now have fun with your lower scores
