Worth noting that although the GTI-R did not enjoy the immediate success in WRC Group A that Nissan expected, even with a limited program, uncompetitive tyres, and very little "in season" development time, it did finish Top 10 in all of the events it completed. Also, an often overlooked fact - the GTI-R finished in 1st and 2nd places in the WRC Group N Championship in 1992. Yes, the GTI-R was the WRC Production Class World Champion in 1992, beating the likes of the Lancia Delta HF Integrale, Ford Sierra RS Cosworth 4x4, Mitsubishi Galant VR4, Subaru Legacy RS, Toyota Celica ST185, etc, clearly showing how potent it can be in relatively stock form.
one of the things that held it back in group a form was the position of the intercooler. they had to run the lightpods on them to direct more airflow to the bonnet scoop. if they ran front mounted intercoolers from the factory that would have made a difference.
We all getting the Pulsar/Sunny urge again then? Owned one 22 years ago until tin worm struck. Yep i'm missing mine too. Also UK. Suppose you all got the comments too of "why'd you stick all them vents on the bonnet!" 😅
What a great car . Have 1 now with a year and don’t think I’ll ever sell it . Only problem is it’s hard to get parts for especially in Ireland probably because they’re so rare here
Lamcia didn't need good luck with the Integrale. I've had both and trust me there is no comparison between them . Pulsar is a great car....Evo is something else.
I had a GTi-R, my brother had a GT-R. His car steered better and was more fun in the twisties, but the engine in mine was more aggressive and always felt stronger. He went through 3 gearboxes, which was a sour note, even with the GTi-R gearbox not being the strongest in the world either.
I would say that they didn't make it because of a weak transmission, I know because I have a 1992 Sentra se r sr20det with 10pounds of boost and 3 gear is so weak

Thanks for the insight! Lots of great history behind these cars that a most people are unaware of.

Had one of these when i was 18 in the UK in 1998....wish i had one now
Wow at 18 that’s crazy I mean for such a amazing car the price of them in the uk are not too bad compared to other jdm cars
I did at 18 too! Sold it after 5 years due to personal circumstances, I've just bought another at 40 😂 absolutely love it.

they are amazing cars! I've owned one for a couple years and will never get rid of it.
They sure are! We are big fans of Pulsars as you can tell.

Hard to find parts here in the States as well. Great cars nonetheless!
Have you tried gtiroc ?
very rare here in Barbados now too....we had quite a few back in the day for a small island
I have one and I love it! Not sure I can ever sell. Good video!
The black one is perfect🔥🔥🔥
Used to import them into australia in the 90s they were faster around the track then the r32 gtr
"you could do whatever you want.." cut to crossing double yellows. XD
I managed to buy a pulsar gtir other day.
where did you find the lower spoiler/wing? I absolutely love it

30年前新車で買いました。
この車は、クラッチが弱いですね。当時、SKYLINE r32 gtrと同等の速さでした。もう一回乗りたいですね。大事にして下さい。
That's awesome! We will make sure this car goes to a great home!

Black Horse 🤟
I know these cars are really nice and I love the looks but how does the 323 gtr stack up against them

Love the gtir do you ever find 3rd can be a bitch ?
most japanese 4wd cars from that era you cant rush the gears on them. gtir's and mazda gtx/gtr's dont like alot of abuse
I beg to differ saying that's the best SR20 I think the best SR20 would probably be out of the x-trail what's the sr20vet
