Group A cars such as this one were all production-based (OEM engine block and head in its original location, original shell with reinforcements, OEM suspension pickup points etc.), but were given substantial modifications and as such are far more capable than standard road cars. The manufacturer also had to build at least 5000 units of a given model in a year to have the car homologated (in all, Nissan sold about 15000 GTI-Rs).

Hey are the cars in these series stock cars or are they full on group B type cars that aren’t in any way the production model
