How to Use Reminders App on iPhone

- Apple has a Reminders app on the iPhone that almost no one uses. But it’s actually pretty useful if used correctly.
One of the most useful things about this reminders app over other reminder and to-do list apps is the ability to use Siri to create reminders.
To keep things organized, it’s best to start with lists.
Once you create a few lists, you can jump in each list and add a reminder.
Then, you can add a widget to make it appear on the very front page of your phone. The reminders widget could be set to only show you today’s events.

Exactly I need an alarm for a certain task if reminders gave me an alert sound I’d remember

Where this product is lacking. Is having an alarm option to remind you so you don’t forget something important.
I totally agree. I was looking for one and figure it out there just isn’t one. It was a disappointment. How’s it supposed to remind you when you don’t even get a alert notification from it making some kind of noise to let you know.

This is really useful because I have anxiety which causes me to procrastinate and forget to do things, and I mostly need reminders. And my grades aren’t the best (I have 2 F’s, a C-, an A-, and my math grade isn’t graded but it will be pretty bad because I failed a pretty important test. I just started quarter 2) Thanks for this! Can you tell me how I can go about changing a reminder using Siri? Every time I try to do this it tells me that I don’t have an app for it. Then it takes me to the App Store, and then list a bunch of notebook apps.

Does anyone know how to search reminders and only get results of INCOMPLETE items and hide the completed from the search results?
I’m going to try it for grocery lists & habit tracking & self care reminders - nothing specifically time sensitive, just personally pertinent to track. I also share my calendar with other family members so things like that are TMI 😅

I’m trying to set it up where Siri Sends me a notification about my reminders, but it doesn’t seem to work. Can’t Siri send me some type of sound notification on this app ?
I couldn't find a way to choose a size and the option available on my iPhone is too big. Where did you see this option to choose a size for the app you mentioned around 4:50?

The problem is it cannot be synced with calendar also, you can only use the reminder list on widget not all lists And other list could be missed because there’s no alarm notification 🤷🏻♀️
Boy it would be cool if the app would sound a bell or ring tone because if I am not reminded to look at the phone , what good is it

how do you set NOTIFICATIONS up for an event in near furure that you cant miss like an appt on november 8 at 8am. It does me no good to be reminded at the date and time of event- I will by definition have missed my appr?

I want to create a reminder for tomorrow
Mine won’t let me delete list or anything they just appear right after I delete, also when I push add list it gives me only the list that are there.. I’ve deleted this app twice and it still does the same thing

Apparently I only delete and remove apps from my iPhone only if they are taking up too much space on my phone or if that I’m not using them

Thank you for this video. I was looking for an alarm feature but setting Reminders on iphone to show on my home screen what is due today seems to eliminate the need for an alarm; as soon as I look at my phone, I know what's due at a glance. Thanks again!

Say "hey siri set a reminder for 22:30 to do xyz" and then it comes and goes and ur not 'reminded' of it lol

Let me put this another way. You explainedthe app as it is well. BUT, why cant there be a SIMPLE UNAMBIGUOUS LOW FRICTION WAY for this app to do the following: Siri, I have an appt to see my Doctor October 3rd 2023 at 9 am.
THEN EVERYTHING ELSE IS AUTOMATIC FROM HOW YOU WANT to be reminded BEFOREHAND according to my preferences such as “Two days before, one day before and 2 hours before said appt?????” I would also like a notification badge to appear on my phone that I would have to deliberately delete otherwise it would remain there until appt time over?
I JUST DO NOT UNDERSTAND?

Is there a way to make Siri read the reminder aloud automatically?
I use Lyft to get to work in the morning. My morning routine varies day by day and sometimes I lose track of the the time during my routine. I would like to set an audible reminder everyday for 5:30am that tells me to order the Lyft.
Some days I order the Lyft at 530 sometimes I order it as late as 554. I just want to set a reminder to keep me consistent and on track in the morning.

I really like Apple reminders and use it all the time but I’ve noticed that when you start to really use Apple reminders with all the functions that they allow like Geo tagging uploading pictures and documents and reminders for time-based locations that the watch only has so much storage and you can really clog it up and I’ve had to stop using Apple reminders and using the iCloud sync because there’s no way to delete the Apple Reminders app on the Apple Watch. I wish there was a fix where you could only select certain groups that you wanted synced to the Apple Watch allowing you to keep the iCloud sync but since Apple doesn’t allow you to delete the Apple Reminders app I had to break the syncing functionality and it’s really frustrating please Apple fix this.
Now nothing pairs fluidly between my watch my phone my tablet and my computer it’s super lame. @apple #pleasefixthis

Wow. The Priority feature seems really pointless. I mean... all it does is add some exclamation marks to it. How hard can it be to manually just type in the exclamation mark?? Why make such thing overly complicated. Do we really need an additional menu option for this?
