🎬 Welcome to Crossmind Studio's Blender Course: "Animated Character Creation in 3D" - Your Ultimate Beginner-Friendly Guide!
    🌟 About the Course:
This comprehensive guide is designed for aspiring beginners, providing an immersive journey from character modeling, uv, shading, rigging to making your first animated scene and rendering it.
This course is crafted for beginners who often find themselves with questions right after delving into 3D software and wondering how animated characters are created. In this course, we take things up a notch, moving beyond basic object modeling to the creation of characters, guiding you through the entire process, ultimately leading to animation.
Featuring over 10 hours of content spread across 20 chapters (compressing more than 40 hours of tightly edited material).
By the end of this course, you will have understood all the aspects involved in creating characters and how you can use this knowledge to craft your animated stories.
Whether you aim to create characters for animations, illustrations, motion graphics, music videos, or your own UA-cam channel, this course is suitable for everyone. It guides you through the entire process without overwhelming you with details that can be explored at a later stage.
    --------------------------------------------------
🐱‍🏍 More insight into this course.
I'm sure many of you who are learning 3D and animation have stories to tell. Whether it's through animations, illustrations, graphic novels, music videos, experimental films or UA-cam videos, there are various mediums to express your thoughts. Every one of us stepping into the world of 3d is curious about one thing right after getting introduced to these fancy software's: how do you make animated characters? And that's what this series is all about.
We're going to create a character in 3D, and not just a 3d model but an animated 3d character model, which you can use to bring your stories to life. Just like how you must have seen in cartoon shows. By the end of the series, we'll have animated the character, covering everything from modelling, UV mapping, texturing, shading, armature rigging, all the way to animation, simulations and final rendering. Most importantly, we'll be doing it in a way that is beginner friendly. You don't need to have knowledge of sculpting or a great understanding of human anatomy to follow along.

    1. What version are you using in this course?
I am using Pre-release 4.0, but this tutorial is compatible with previous versions as well. A few improvements and updates in riggify and shading nodes have been mentioned, comparing both the old and new versions. You can also follow along with the LTS version.
    2. Where can i get the full course?
    crossmindstudio.gumroad.com/l/animatedcharacter
    3. Is this course entirely free?
The course is not entirely free. Modeling to shading chapters will be released on UA-cam every few weeks. However, the Premium edition on Gumroad unlocks the full course, including the
complete process from modeling, UV, shading, rigging overview, rigging with riggify, weight painting, props manual rigs, pose library setup, animating walk cycles, cloth simulations, creating a background with geometry nodes and procedural shaders, lighting, final rendering, and compositing. In addition to bonus content, it also comes with project files, animated bonus scenes, and other benefits. Check gumroad for full information.
    4. Will this course be compatible with the next release?
For as long as there are no major changes to the interface of Blender, this course should be compatible. The last major UI change Blender received was recently during version 3.0, and the same
will be followed in upcoming versions as well.
    5. I am an absolute beginner; can I watch this series?
If you have never used Blender before, I suggest you clear the basics first. Please check out this series, which helps with basics:
ua-cam.com/play/PLgO2ChD7acqH5S3fCO1GbAJC55NeVaCCp.html . After this, it will be easier for you to follow along with the new concepts introduced in this course.
    6. I need help regarding the course; where should I connect?
You can use the dedicated Discord channel for this server. The link to Discord is available in the description and channel banner:

Aligning vertices of hand took me 1 hour, doing it very first time. Thanks a lot for the series and for doing it for free on youtube.
Update: found next day that i still messed up with vertices and trying to make new one from start. Most difficult among all other parts,

I bought your tutorial. I love you but I hate being a troll this time.
I'm surprised people say it's well explained. I was a computer graphics teacher with another 3D software and I can tell you that your explanation on hand modeling is very bad. It's totally chaotic. It's much simpler than that but there you have cut a lot of shots in a perspective view. No wonder in one of the comments below, he found this to be the most difficult tutorial. Too much hesitation too... Sorry to be harsh and for my bad english. However, I know that you are a very talented artist.

I've been searching up my current problem but couldn't find the solution at all. At 31:59, whenever I merge the head and body, one of the object (either head or body) keeps splitting. I'm pretty sure the reason for this is the mirror modifier but couldn't find the reason why this is happening. Can anyone help?
    Also, discord link doesn't work.

applying location to the eye doesn't work, the position of the object is not actually being mirrored to the other eyeball when using the mirror modifier, does anyone know why ? also it would be amazing if you could modify your screencap in a way so we coukd see the keys you press

when u apply the location, the object origin of the mesh goes back to the center origin of the world space (0,0,0).. so whether your character origin is shifted from the center origin of the world space. Another way to fix it, inside the mirror modifier (of the eye object), there is mirror object, select the character (or the head)
