Bro, this is a 1000 times better than most tuts on youtube. I really wanted to give up but this gave me hope man. Thanks!
x2 !
I'm so glad to hear it! ^^
Blender is very frustrating. Such a pain.
@@lacruzoplease make more videos bro
Blender is hard, and overwhelming if you don't know where to start. But don't you DARE give up!
This tutorial is a GODSEND. I was looking into stylized low-poly for months now, and the best I could find was "PS1 style", which is totally not my jam! But this, this is literally donut of character creation, this is GOAT of tutorials
As an experienced 3D artist who watches tutorials for fun, Id say this is most definitely a tutorial Id look for as a beginner.
I love how youre not spoonfeeding every bit of information to the viewer
Direct, easy to understand, good quality product.
As a beginner, I give you complete right with this one tutorial I have learned so much because it wasn't spoon-feeding
As a solo game dev myself who SUCKS at 3d modelling, this video is a ray of hope and I am so thankful to You my friend. ❤
Unironically one of the best tutorials for 3d modeling / UV unwrapping and Texture painting all in one.
Low Poly style is really good because it's a lot like making a chibi. You have design what's the essentials of the character and doesn't allow you to get lost in the details.
UV unwrapping and specifically textute painting was always such a headache for whenever I'd attempt to make a low poly character. You are a saint for this tutorial 🙏🙏🙏
if you make creating lowpoly this clean and easy can we see how you rig and animate like in the intro they look cool
absolutely incredible tutorial, i'm a college student studying game design and was literally just ranting to my friend about how horrible character modelling is, so having this tutorial be understandable and teach exactly what i needed to know is like a miracle really! thanks man, great stuff
for next video can you rig this character?
This entire video has been immensely helpful. Detailed while keeping a good pace. Not glancing over modeling methods, plus the shortcut visualizer helps a ton
OMG! Thank you so much for the detailed tutorial (especially for showing the keyboard shortcuts used during the creation process in the video). It's really great material.
this tutorial just makes so much sense!! a lot on tutorials just go onto things that are waaay to complex for the simple characters i want to create
thank you!
every other character creation tutorial did my head in, but this one just makes sense. incredible video
This was a great video and I like how you take your time to show your process and explain it. Also, your art looks really nice.
I hope to see more of your work.
Thanks for the tutorial, well-constructed and no-nonsense video.
I've been looking for tutorials on this specific kind of low-poly style for a while now, and this is by far the best one I've seen!
Thank you so much!!!
One of the best and easily digestible tutorials I've come across on this topic. Tysm :D
tons of useful shortcuts and tricks to improve workflow. ty for this.
Amazing video! Mainly watched for the texturing process as I was really impressed when I first saw your twitter post and you made it look shockingly simple ❤️
this is absolutely extremely brilliant
Simple and super effective. Great work!
This was helpful! I didn’t know that the texture painting tools within blender could work to achieve this style! I’m going to try it. Thank you!
This is an awesome video. Thanks for sharing your process! 🙏🏻
Thank you so much for this video. I've only been modelling for a few months, low poly vtube avatars and this is extremely helpful!
Yes! I love low poly style and this is exactly was I was looking for! I enjoyed modeling in this style in Maya but I want to switch to Blender and I've found few tutorials for what I wanted to do. I'll come back as soon as I learn the basics, lovely presentation and thanks for sharing!
Loved the style so much!❤
Been watching modeling blender videos for years. Youve done a excellent job here!
I’m almost upset at how good this tutorial is. I’ve been working with a very similar style for a while, and this workflow is so much simpler and produces much better results. Not even to mention the quality of the tutorial itself. Definitely going to try this is the future, thank you!
This tutorial made my low poly character designs atleast 5x better Ty and keep creating 🩵
Your videos are amazing. Please don't stop posting. I love them
I loved this! Really beautiful!!
Thanks so much for this video! I was just wondering about the whole modelling process for something like this and had a lot of fun following along :)! Really easy to understand.
Great, detailed tutorial! You saved my uni work
Haven’t touched 3D modeling in a while, but this definitely has inspired me to get back into it with some character modeling (after I study for and do my AP exams). Might comment with some questions if I remember to. Thanks for the great video!
I’ve been looking for a video on how to make art exactly like this for a while. Thank you so much for this. Gonna give my own a shot here soon!
No lie I'd pay to watch more of your work bro! Keep up the excellent work 🔥🔥🔥
I loved your grease pencil process in Blender and this is another awesome video, thank you!
I wasn't even aware this only came out like a few days ago but it came at such a good time!!! I had a sudden motivation in trying to make a 3D model and this tutorial made it feel so much easier to tackle what I envisioned doing for such a long time now and I feel like I want to do even more now :D Thanks you so much for making this!
amazing!! I admire your artwork, thank you
I didn't know loop tools existed and you are now my favorite person
I'm a hobbie / indie game dev and have to say this tutorial has helped me so much in preparing my work flow for finaly modeling my characters, just want to say thank you so much for the video and the chill format, well done 👌 hope to see more from you soon
Hi, thank you very much for the tutorial. I had been looking for months for one of this style, and as I couldn't get any, I experimented in my own way taking other references and I managed to make a 3D low poly model that I liked. Now with this tutorial I can learn everything in a better way, make better models and improve the ones I already made. thank you very much!
no way i was looking for these tutorials a few months ago... yhis is awesome tysm

god tier tutorial, absolutely fire
Great video! I was a bit intimidated by blender but this is a super understandable and helpful tutorial! Thank you
I love this. It would be great to see you do an outdoor game environment in this style.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I feel like I’ve slowly started to give up on my passion for creating games because I can’t make good models yet but looking at this video makes me hope that in the future I will make something better.
Really awesome style! Thanks
Nice job! Keep it up the good work!
Today just got a whole lot better, this is truly invaluable. Thank you so much for sharing.
So kind of you to say ^^
This is a good video, its helping me with own stuff. Thanks
thank you so much this was so helpful and i love your style, looking forward to when you can show us rigging.
i’ve been looking for something exactly like this for so So long. genuinely answered so many of the questions i’ve had while trying to make my own low poly characters !! this has been a major help thank you
so glad I could help! ^^
This is the best tutorial on modeling low poly characters! I can't model realistic characters (and I don't really want to), and I can''t really do sculpting part. This is the best option for me! Thanks a lot!
So amazing 😮!!
YOOOO I was just thinking that this style reminds me of Megaman Legends and then you brought it up!! Would love love LOVE to see more games pop up with that similar aesthetic!!
love your artstyle 👍👍
Thanks, I'll be using this
Finally! An actually fast and easy to remember tutorial with total noob friendly tips and tricks 😭
This! This is what I’m looking for! In one video!
finally, a worthy video, ive been figuring this stuff out myself for months!
Oh thank you so much for this video it's very useful for me
This is the first video I've seen from you but I enjoyed it. Also you're at 39.9k subscribers, so close to 40k :D
love it 10/10
great tutorial! thank you :)
New Lacruzo drop lets gooooooooo
I have been wanting a tutorial for this exact style so much. Thank you!! :)
I hope it helps you out! ^^
This is actually easier than expected tbh. I started working on a 3d model for a passion project and jumped right into it with little research. Still figuring things out but it’s coming along.
Really cool
Really great explication! 🎉 Amzing Video
the face makes me feel nostalgic for the wii mysims agents game i was obsessed with as a kid 😂
please do more of these!
Wonderful video!! You've inspired me to make some low poly models.
Thank you for making this video, it's incredibly helpful!! :3
So happy to hear that, hope you enjoy making them!
where have you been all my life ive been out here watching blockbench tutorials and priichu timelapses
Amazing tutorial, made me realise just how over complicated i tried to make my low poly characters lol
in need of an unwrapping tutorial from u 🌼
Best blender youtuber
Love the tutorial! Looking forward to more of these vids, one great tip when it comes to mirroring! I enabled automirroring on the addons tab, it comes free with blender and set the key on favorite quick keys (Q) so I only need to select the model hit Q and A and with the addon the model automatically gets cut down in half, mirrored and clipped
wasn't aware of this one, thanks!
megaman legends is so nostalgic for me i never got past like the third mission as a kid but that game was awesome.
DO MORE PLEASSEEEE you are amazing
That's the exact style i wanna do in animation :D
Thank you for your english creating video. it's helpful for me
awesome video!
OMG, I'm not the only one who wants to replicate the Megaman Legends artstyle!
I've been trying to figure out how to do lowpoly characters myself. My biggest hurdle has been UV wrapping (and making lowpoly hands that actually look like hands). I having gotten far in the vid yet (only 2 mins lol), but thanks for making this!
Awesome video! Please do one for clothes like robes or ponchos!
That's a pretty nice tutorial, especially for texture painting with the dragging, for the eyes.
I think the next thing, would possibly be to show how to have your character have different faces, for social/emotional expressions
thanks, yeah I'm considering that as another video ^^
This literally inspired me to make an animated series out of a style like this. I may go the more conventional route of using ps1 shading techniques instead, wish me luck!
sounds cool, good luck with it! ^^
Thx, really, I was exactly searching how to do a low poly character
This is so frigging amazing! Answered so many questions I had.
Would you do a part 2 where we can have more character customization? Different parts that can be swamped and stuff?
Id be down like a clown for that
cant wait for the rigging tutorial
Good video. I''m not into the bug-eyed child looking models but some of the use of blender features shown were cool.
I love the "Megaman Legend 1&2" vibes. Curious to see you replicate somes characters from that games or some legendary Saturn games with your techniques like Burning rangers ou Panzer Dragoon Saga 😎
Low poly has so much to offer in modern games
