- Watch me try the first mission of the first campaign. I mean, I should be good at this, right?
Just to clarify, as I'm not sure I said this, but Pinned Canadian units cannot Move (or Attack) until they Rally. - Ігри
And I’m saving watching the play through until tomorrow - when I can enjoy it at my leisure
The rest of that Campaign will be up soon!
Hi, Mike. I just discovered your games by way of Box of Delights session of Battles of the English Civil War. Your series looks brilliantly creative and incredibly fun for the solo gamer. Eager to pick up a volume or two. WWI most interests me, so it may be first. Thanks, Mike!
Thanks for the kind comments and support. I hope you enjoy it!
Enjoyed your play through of this new game. Thanks once more Mike. You’re a star ⭐️
Great job, Mike! I get some Fields of Fire vibes in this one, love it!
Yes, definitely influenced by. Indeed, I acknowledge this in the book itself.
Love these videos. My copy just arrived yesterday. Keep up the good work!
Thanks. Will do!
Thank you for making this game. This looks like a lot of fun.
Just ordered my copy from Amazon - delivery Friday they tell me 🙁
Count me in as a +1 for WW2 Eastern Front if/when you get chance.
Of course, I’d also be interested in something sci-fi (infantry or mecha maybe, rather than space ships). A generic “ancients” game would be nice too and, with a bit of gloss for, say, stuff like magicians and big creatures, could easily be re-jigged for Conan-esque type fantasy. Napoleonics and American Civil War would likely be popular too.
Wow, Geoff, that’s a lot of work you’re giving me there! 🤣🤣
@@mikelambosolitairebookgames To mis-quote Kevin Costner in Field of Dreams - if you write it, we will buy 😂😎
Thanks for this! Ordered it yesterday and am excited to get it to the table.
Thanks! Hope you enjoy it.
@@mikelambosolitairebookgames I'm loving it and have already recommended it to others. I had no idea it was influenced in some small way by Fields of Fire (my favorite solo war game) but that was a lovely surprise when I opened the book and began to read. Cheers!
Hi Mike,
Thank you for this new game.
Great video, thanks!
This system looks easy enough to addapt to a two or more players game.
Merci pour cette présentation très intéressante !
Brilliant system!
This game is super interesting! Very well thought out, and I found myself thinking about all the things I would do if I were playing. I think I'll have to pick myself up a copy!
Thanks. Hope you enjoy the challenge!
@Mike Lambo Solitaire Book Games Watched the video of making your own counters, where do you get the sticky paper and how do you print the counters onto it? I'd assume you can't just chuck that kind of paper into a normal printer?
@@mikelambosolitairebookgames and are you using cardstock as backing? Or something else?
@@PitterPatter20 I bought a pack of A4 labels from Amazon, but I'm sure you'll find the same thing at any good stationery store. Each page is just one large label. And yes, I just chuck them in my standard cheap printer! I stick them onto any old card - usually some carton I got from somewhere. Medium kind of thickness (1-2mm).
@@mikelambosolitairebookgames thank you!
Cracking !
Hi Mike, you've used both hex and square grids in your games. How do you decide on which grid type to use? Thank you for making these elegant games!
It really just depends what suits the game best. I could have gone with hexes here, but wanted 8 directions of fire and it also suits the kind if horizontal flow of the trench system too. As I say, either could have worked here. I personally prefer hexes to play on, but they don't make such neat map edges 🙂
Any chance there might be an Eastern front ww2 game coming?
Quite possibly at some point but the list is long and ever-growing!!
@@mikelambosolitairebookgames great to hear, your games are exactly what i was looking for in the solitaire wargame area, light and fun but with enough meat to them to make them challenging!
@@Doomsfist Glad to hear it. Thanks.
It s the book soon on Amazon?
Should be on Amazon now for most countries' sites. Others should follow soon. Thanks.
Thanks I just order it.
Still no Hostage Rescue Squad for Canada.
Thank you. Yes, I know - I'm not sure it will ever appear there again now. Don't know what else I can do. The good news is that Vimy Ridge has appeared in Canada before any other country - the guys at Amazon must know the battle!!
@@mikelambosolitairebookgames ok then I think I can order it from US, it's a more costly, but I just like the games you are creating.
First I thought that I would'nt like Beach for the Brave as much as the other game, but I think it's the game I've played more. Very "addicting" game play. Even my wike likes it.
Thanks again for your work.
@@yantremblay-cote2597 Thanks. And welcome to the hobby to your wife!!
I have command the book my five from you in France thank you I expect soon I sf book or a secession book?
Thank you. However, I do not understand the last part of your question.... "I sf book or a secession book?"
@@mikelambosolitairebookgames yes the same model of book games but witch a sf theme or battles of the secession wars
@@usaghy1O Ah yes, I see. Sorry. May well get round to science fiction at some point, certainly.
