Not sure the Vampire Counts would enjoy "their time in the Sun"....
It's been out 6 months
Fixed the title, thanks for letting us know! :)
Can't believe it's been so long, still feels like a very new and exciting game!
@@MordianGlory yea it dropped in January and we now upon July
„Over 3 months“ is still technically correct
@Philtopy it is, but not as accurate. Also the slow release of the core armies is hurting the growth of the game. They had 5 years to get 20 year old models ready and they still couldn't do it
It lives ! What is dead may never die !! I just wish they’d release the dwarf stuff would finally release !
Skip the wait and the price gouging by playing Kings of War instead.
Glad to hear that Old World is doing well :). I have some interest in AOS but the Gotrek and Felix books are a chunk of my teen years and I love to see the classic figures lore and vibe resurging
Am I blind or have they not released any news, info or specific Old World community posts on the warhammer site since April? This makes no sense to me. Why?
Pushing AoS 4.0
Over half the models are consistently sold out on their store so I don't know what success would look like if this isn't it.
Part of the reason is, you never wre able to buy them, because they were never in stock.
Having enough models to fulfill orders for the first three months.
Even with pre-orders they couldn't fulfill the demand. Now I've been waiting for "made to order" models since the Bretonnian line came out!
@@thomasburns6655 just get a 3d printer, so much better.
Huge Warhammerer here. Started in late 80's/early 90's with 40k and quickly moved to Fantasy. Sold off sadly my armies after End Times and though I gave AoS a massive try, gave up on that about 4 yrs back. I am ALL IN on Old World I live in the US, Northeast, and there's a pretty nice community that is growing. Availability of models is stunting growth but I feel it's just going to keep going as the line develops
That's awesome. I'm a 40K player but I've actually seen a fair number of longtime Fantasy players at my LGS who haven't played any Warhammer since End Times but are now lurking around asking about Old World, watching people play, and picking up kits.
Lack of models for PDF armies is a bummer but at least vampire counts has new soulblight and lends itself to 3rd party super well
I think the prices are more likely to stunt the growth.
Next week our old world leagues taking all the armies to Lustria!!!
Let’s hope the dwarfs get their release soon, and the rumors of legacy armies getting some attention true!
What do you mean by legacy armies getting some attention? I haven't heard that rumour.
@@ThorekIronbrow 3:15 in the video he talked about the legacy factions and core factions getting merged some point because of the success of Old World so far. Not just this video heard a lot of other people across the Old World community saying this, obvs just rumors. I could also see it from a balance standpoint as some of the legacy factions have performed well, others less, so maybe even just a point adjustment for some of the pdfs.... who knows! but regardless I think as the video pointed out things are looking positive for the game and more should be expected for the future of the game.
@@camwardart Ah that's really cool, thank you for all the detail. That would be really neat. 🤞
Do you need the 6th edition Lustria pdf? There's some awesome mechanics and scenarios in there that 100% translate to old world
@@lucaswatson1913 I downloaded a pdf today and am going to 100% import some stuff in. Great suggestion!
Old world is dead in mexico, they never even sent the requested starter boxes, not that we could even afford them
Dude that sucks I’m sorry 😢
Kings of War, dude. It's Warhammer Fantasy but streamlined in a good way, and with cheaper models (for the most part; think GW prices from 10 to 15 years ago).
old world is my first wargaming experience, and I am loving it. Playing DE and Empire mostly. my friend used to own a game store and i bought a sealed 6th ed box off him and a malekith model. also for STATS I'm coming from total war.
Ah, interesting. I also came over from Total War. Although I started with 9th Age first, since that's what guys were playing at the time. Now, moving over to Old World.
I'd prefer it if it didn't get the amount of updates that are currently ruining my ability to play 40k. Haven't bothered to learn their last changes to the rules because I can't be bothered for the 2 or 3 games I'd play before the next update.
I'm glad the old world isn't changing.
I'm friends with another girl at my local gaming store, and earlier this month she taught me how to play The Old World! It was my first ever game of Warhammer Fantasy. 💜 I'm hooked, and want to finally start collecting the Dark Elves I've wanted since high school. My friend will even sell me her extra rule book on the cheap. 🥰
Sometimes half your army decides to run off the board turn 1 for no reason. Atleast thats what i remember fantsy being like. I won a game on turn 0 because of a depleyment old terror bomb. It was glorious to watch, then we just re wraked and played another game
I've been slowly building a Dog's of the War Army for a bit now; Golgfags mercenary ogres is currently 35 strong and is gonna need an A4 movement tray, at least, Throgs darkland despoilers are up to 30 hobgoblins, and Ogla Khan's wolfboys are at 30 models too.
There's also a 10 strong ork mercenary unit that could do with some reinforcements, the Alcatani Fellowship that I need to finish building, and the cursed company that I need to find in a box somewhere.
All proxies, cos I'm not _that_ insane.
I'm glad Old World is doing well, if only so I can get my hands on the models. That said, two things: 1. They did my Druchii dirty in their index. 2. If artillery is the way to play Orcs & Goblins, somebody fucked up bad in the design process
Orc and G is more chaos based. Fanatics, some artillery, spells are how you get hte big swingy shit.
Im so glad you are doing old world battle reports they are really fun to watch!
At my local club half of the tables are now ToW, it's insane ! Same as many, ToW is my main game since a few months !
I just discovered your channel and I just love it! I can't tell you how many times I had to stop painting because you made me laugh. I really enjoy your laugh and just the sheer gaming passion that you bring to the gaming table. Consider me subscribed! ⚒🍺
I was in my local GW store last weekend and asked them where the old world range was. They directed me to the 2 rule books they had in the back bottom shelf corner. I asked if they had any models I could buy and was told it was all mail order to store. They have no hope of drumming up support for the game but only us old timers who played fantasy back in the day to keep the range going and to reminisce
My local GW shop has consistently sold out all books and miniatures as soon as they arrive.
Same. The guy in the shop was very negative about it, said he could not understand why they had brought it back and thought it was just to placate all the people moaning about it being gone. They just had two starter boxes and nothing else. He said everything else would be online only and no new models made.
Hey @MordianGlory , saw in a lot of vids your nice movement trays where did you got them?
It’s squared the circle: flavourful rules but plays quick. Deep but, with fewer dice and rerolls, naturally light-hearted. Gorgeous game.
Sadly I couldn’t even if I wanted to. There’s is no one in the area around me who play old world
That’s crazy. There’s hundreds of people playing here.
What area are you in then?
The North Pole
I live in the Wisconsin area. I’m blessed to have a game store in town but no one in the area play. They just started to get into sigmar because of its next edition
I’m so glad this game is back
Have all my old warhammer fantasy stored up in boxes. Some lead, some white metal, monopose plastic from the era when chaos was only one faction and there was no marauders, skaven was a new faction and the toads where a thing of myth, If I’m lucky I got 4 or 5 armies still there. By the look of things old world is a better game, definitely better than 40K at the moment, hopefully they keep the lethality levels low and keep the game centered around movement, maneuverability and the almost chess like feel of the combats. It plays like historic battles. Now I just need an Empire State troops that I can paint in the Carolean style with artillery, muskets and rapier and pistol wielding cavalry and I’m starting my sixth army 35 years after the first. 😍
Old World has some issues and some strange rule design choices, it's not perfect but most people I know find it a much better game than current 40k 10th edition. Content creators that talk about the subject have openly stated that 40k views are dropping away and the game isn't in a good place.
SN have dropped 40k coverage and events, along with selling off their own 40k armies to concentrate on Horus Heresy with some Old World coverage as 40k was bringing in very little to the point the channel was in risk of collapse.
I first got into wargaming through Warhammer fantasy, i still have my lizardmen and skaven armies. Have still been using them with the 8th edition fantasy rules and army books 😁 really looking forward to trying old world rules.
My last warhammer (40k or fantasy) battle was at 2010 ...last month my dwarf army marched to war again!
Games Workshop is doing their best to kill it early.
They've raised prices twice on models that haven't even been available since the first day of launch.
I had intended to support the Games Workshop lines but I'm going to just start buying proxies because it's WAY TO EXPENSIVE to buy in now.
DO IT! Proxies all the way!
All we need GW for is the world and lore the inherited from their forebares. That and possibly rules.
Are you trying to bulk buy or slow grow buy? I know it’s still the same price but staggering the cost helps, plus Fireforge and Mantic make some beautiful models your FLGS can get for you
@@bluemoonlunalla9747 I would have slow grown but with the "made to order" models you can't wait. Or if you expect to be able to play in a GW tournament, you haven't been able to get half the models since day one and they don't let you use proxies in their official tournaments.
@@thomasburns6655 yeah, I get what you mean, one thing I’ve noticed is with Middle Earth, they do MTO for that game all the time and seem rotate things every couple of years.
And yeah, I know it’s frustrating trying to catch MTO and start an army, it doesn’t make things easy in any sense, good thing the game is wider than Games Workshop, I mean, there aren’t official GW tournaments in Australia so using other ranges isn’t an issue here, same with Legacy lists
Summon the elector counts!
The Old World is alive and well… despite all the mismanagement from GW. And btw it is also helping AoS because a lot of AoS stuff that went unsold in stores was picked up for tOW (the same happened on GW online store). Personally I’ve bought quite a lot of dwarves to refresh my WHFB collection (2 greywater fastness boxes, 4 boxes of hammers/longbeards, 2 boxes of Ironbreakers/Irondrakes) AND I’ve also bought a box that went unsold at a local store for WE ( with 3 treemen inside plus dryads). NONE of these purchases was for AoS even if GW may assign them to that game.
I love your positivity. I have played 6 or so games now and while I like it as its WFB I find we still spend way too much time looking up rules
I was wondering about this question the other day and by coincidence you answered it! Thank you. And old 3rd into 4th edition player still on the fence and probably too busy with other games to make the leap here.
I keep hearing people saying the game has taken off but every event I’ve been to or seen advertised near me has 2-3 players tops. Seems like a YMMV kind of situation.
Are those old empire models from GW or are they proxies? If proxies, what brand?
I'm trying to get into it, but unfortunately it seems it hasn't quite kicked off here in the states as much.
chalk me up as an old fantasy player (undead before tombkings arrived) who played 40k and now only plays old world.
I fkn love this game
Its very much alive in the north of scotland. However the opinion is also very much the same, gw can ruin this if they keep messjng around with the release schedule. Dwarves as an example, revealed far too long ago and still no sign
I was someone who was quite cynical about the old world but here I am just finishing off my first 500 points of dwarves with my second 500 points on the way
As someone who never really stopped WFB even after they stopped official support, and has been a very long term player (near to 3 decades now!) it's really interesting to see all these people from other communities and new players coming into TOW. It's not a perfect game, but it has some good ideas and certainly feels like Warhammer. It's a little frustrating how slowly the release schedule is progressing, but a lot of long term players are used to having their hobby without GW support. In terms of more missions, I highly recommend looking into the back catalogue of White Dwarfs and old supplements, as they translate very well into TOW, even the siege stuff works.
Sole mates played a game s few weeks ago and it was great to see their armies on the tabletop.
I recently moved and found sbout a 1500 points of skaven (I though I had sold them all). I've bough new movement trays for the new base sizes and am rebasing some AoS clanrats I quickly bought off ebay. Can't wait to get playing again.
Skaven seem to struggle with dragons and monsters and aren't doing the best by all accounts but I look forward to the challenge.
Im so surprised they didn’t expect this reception. They truly thought this would be a small thing. Oh boy how far detached from reality are they? We *crave* this game.
9:40 Thank you soooo much for this Video. I got into Age of Sigmar to Scratch that Fantasy Itch after the INITIAL FALLING OUT with GW.
But AOS, altough a good Game System... the Lore and the Units just didn't do it for me.
I build Bretonnians and High Elves for AOS. Played their Legend Rules... Everybody told me, they will not be as good as the AOS Armies...but I WON GAMES.
They Cried^^
But AOS got Uglier and Uglier.
I will Try the Oldworld soon.
Lately Playing 40k 10th Editon. But the Streamlining took something away.... and added something?
Lets see where this Goes.
I like my Grim DArk and The Warhammer Fantasy!
Only reason I haven't played OW is because there is no Empire yet
I’m building up sn army at the moment of the models from highland miniatures but I will definitely buy the gw models when they arrive
Fireforge Miniatures make some really nice humans, good for DoW or northern Empire, Ostlund comes to mind
I'm glad you're finding lots of fun with Old World. I unfortunately think this might be a UK thing, because here in the US I've been having trouble finding people to play with.
Depends where you are. There's a lot of people playing in the Houston area
For different missions Gotta start playing Warhammer siege missions. The 6th edition rules set of Warhammer siege crossover to the old world is great. You have very little need to change any rules.
Tabletop Tactics is an awesome channel! Love their battle reports!
That would be great if only GW would care about the game and actually regularly release new and resculpted models and not only miniatures that are as old as I am or may be older (and I'm 30)
How are tournaments with 3rd party models? Non Warhammer world ones...
What I currently absolutely hate about this old world launch is that their staggering out the releases of the armies that should be all released at once how am I supposed to play my empire army that I got just a couple of months before it was removed
Main studio and specialist studio won't share the Skaven army, it's why BoC and Beastmen can't both be core.
The state of the game for me is: Still waiting for Games Workshop to have the minis in stock to buy them, and the ones I ordered via my local store still waiting to be dealt (yes, after seven freaking months!!!!)
We have a ton of old world players in my area.. been having lots of fun with it, also quite a number of blood bowl. Even got some more fellas introduced and interested in it.
Well, actually 6 months... thats miserable. They've done almost nothing. Its just case of logistics and dusting off old molds. I adore idea of Old World but frankly speaking I purchased all minis from ebay (vintage 6th edition) and I am talking from perspective from Dwarf player that I know since few month that dwarfs are almost here.... They could at leat release all arcane journals.... For me the biggest miss in Old World is GW itself.
Me and my long time gaming husband have played about 15 games now and I can tell you that this game is here to stay and grow.
Will die in a few years if GW continues to have shitty release plans like they right now have and are not willing to work on the legacy factions.
Just as a reminder: The first faction announced was Kislev, guess what happened to the idea ... it got canceled. Thats the way GW thinks about Old World. Low investment to milk the nostalgic monkeys. If you want a Warhammer Fantasy Game, older ediotions and Fanmade Editions like Armies Project are just way way way better.
Played my first game last week, was fun.
First Class video. Earned a sub :)
Awesome, thank you!
Its a great thing! However I'm sliding towards Hobgoblin at the moment, mainly because I live in rural/remote AU, and mostly just play with my kids.
Desperately need the other armies, of six of us who love the lore and want to play, only two of us have armies (brets and TK's)
I got lucky as a goblin enjoyer. Building a Night Goblin army right now and it’s turning out to be a glorious horde
I got my core rule book and now just waiting for the Empire to come out!!!
I had a wood elves decades ago, I'm thinking about making a druchii army now
I love Orks AND Goblins. I gotta get me the Greenskins somehow lol
Definitely alive, though also definitely problematic in terms of production. Stuff is constantly sold out.
Six months, though; it launched in January.
Empire at 66% winrate in the SBOT (96 players) after round 2. 20ish gamed played. 3 in the top 10
Empire gunline seems to be amazing!
Hoping they can start picking up on the release schedule, as the slowness might be hurting the game :/
I played my third game so far a couple of days ago and I have to say that I really dislike that there is no step up in combat anymore. That together with impetuos should be omitted imo.
It is frustrating that empire troops practically can't do anything but just die. In 8th they would always be able to strike back, and because their stats are dogshit they still weren't op, now their stats are still dogshit but they don't even get get to strike in combat
Yes, the game has huge gameplay problems, but nostalgia is to strong in many people. Try Warhammer Armies project. Way better tabletop game, way better implementation of the lore and way way way cooler armies with a lot more options.
New to old world and fantasy in general, I starting watching lore vids etc about 2 years ago and now am on my 13 gotrek & Felix and have started collecting and painting up an empire army made from highland miniatures. I will be buying when GW release empire stuff but till then I won’t be buying any minis as well…. I’m not particularly interested in collecting another faction! They’re all very cool but I’m a Barry basic I like humans and the empire fluff!
The online tournament that square based is running is showing a lot of interesting developments on what armies can do. It’s a massive sample size so the data is quite reliable.
Im waiting to get inwhen skaven drops
I have not seen nor heard of anyone playing in my area, at all. You guys need to understand that you are in the Warhammer bubble, espeically in the UK. Where as here in the Colorado, USA, they just removed the table top gaming tables and replaced them with just plastic tables for people who were doing drone and RC racing. There is a place in Boulder but that is a one hour drive to have to meet up with just random people.
I know four people at work with Warhammer based tattoos, no one is getting into Warhammer. I have not seen any kids playing as well and I know several teachers who run board game, etc. after school programs. Magic the gathering is huge, but no one is bringing in armies, it's just too much for kids to afford nor again, is there a community as the game has become sort of bougie. That is what I think UK players miss the most. The game is selling, but it is not selling in volume, it's selling in hype and profit margin. Profit margin despises volume sales as it the more rare a product is, the higher the price. GW essentially does it in reverse, raise the cost till only the most hardcore remain, who buy everything of (their) limited product and then charge ever more.
Yeah, the game is dead in many areas and there are no young people playing it. "Back in my days" it was already expensive, but now its just rediculous. With the money i had as a kid i wouldnt be able to start the hobby now and i dont know any parents who are willing to pay hundreds of bucks for a nerdy hobby like warhammer, its objectivly a terrible investment in your kid :D .
I love this video
Table Top Tactics have seen their Old World Videos tail off in popularity I think which is a shame. But they're paused whilst they do AoS 4th I believe.
I think the problem is that they only have had 5 armies so far. If they did a BR with Skaven, Lizardmen, or Chorfs i could see them picking back up. 3 i think of their BR have been vampire counts so i think people are just waiting to see a new faction.
I really miss the good old days of TT when the B-bone still worked there, nowadays it is really obnoxious with all weird jokes and derpy sounds they make when they play, it is just too much of that for my liking, so I get tired after about 5 minutes and stop watching
Their old world battle reports are not that good tbh
I mean, TT is a crap shoot. Basically 'is Chef playing? Then it will be a good match. If not... pass.' A lot of other presenters seem to just throw a Dragon forward
@@derekgehring2771 true Chef is a good lad
I’m still trying to get some of the Bretonnian new releases…
still rebasing my fucking minis
I've only been into 40K specifically since 10th began but I am a lifelong part of the Total War community and I can definitively say that a large percentage of the Total Warhammer community is responsible for the success of Old World. Those players have been hyping up Old World from the day it was announced, getting word out, digging out old models, buying up the refreshed kits, and most importantly ushering new players in since it's nowhere near as expensive as 40K and, from what I hear, not as impenetrable rules-wise. It's the perfect example of a legacy community stepping up and doing the company's job for them. Turin, especially, from the Total War community has been plugging Old World pretty much every tournament he organizes.
The thing is warhammer fantasy was never unpopular, GW just failed to monetise it. Its why so many people, especially AoS players and GW staffers, are completely taken by surprise by TOW because the PR line is it was dead long before it was killed. That PR line being there because GW isn't able to admit they were wrong.
It's like when a really really good film or TV show comes out then you start hearing how it almost didn't get made and the director had to fight the producers to get the best scene to be kept in the edit. The suits don't always know what a person wants.
Oh they monetized it alright. But they price themselves out of customers. I'm willing to pay a premium for GW models but $86 for ONE model is ridiculous.
Then they'll discontinue stuff because no one can afford to spend $6k to get every Bretonnian model at once.
It's just an unrealistic sales model. I thought they'd have learned that by now. 40 years should be a sufficient learning curve to avoid some of these major oversights.
Until The End Times GW had released nothing major for WHFB for quite a few years, many players had armies and with not many new releases coming out they didn't see the need to spend. They just played the game.
Then End Times arrived and GW couldn't keep up with supply for the new rule supplements and completely under estimated demand it was the first time I recall of people queuing before stores opened in desperation to get hold of the few copies that arrived in GW stores. GW could have kept that going, supported it with new releases, etc, but were already committed to the release of Age of Sigmar with it's new no points, no tournament structure, wear a hoodie get rerolls rules that turned away many old hands that enjoyed WHFB.
The simple fact was GW wanted and still wants to attract new young gamers who will spend heavily, or have parents who will do the same rather than keep hold of older gamers who have spent plenty and no longer need to carry on spending especially when GW don't release anything new for their faction for years. Even army books could carry on over multiple editions without an update.
Simon being a fanatic is hilarious 😂
Simon a fanatic???
@@briarsandbantams A little Easter egg hidden in the video 😉
@@ProxyHammer1 I finally saw it! I was painting the first time I played the video. I fully support and encourage the goblinification of Simon's saltiness.
@@briarsandbantams lol Ikr!
I wish I could share you optimism but GW isn't posting or sharing anything about TOW. What kind of marketing is that ? Whats going on in their HQ ? We old timer love TOW but it seems we get nothing from GW compare to other games
It's a specialist studio game, so it's a drip feed release schedule. GW is occupied with AoS 4th edition this Summer.
Just imagine if people who got to play 6 edition fantasy when the company cared about the settings and not the profits
I mean, happy it's going well for you. Over here it's just old grognards forcing the Right Way To Play(tm) on the occasional new player. Extremely unfun. The fact that my preferred faction is not only not core, but it's missing most of its good models from 8th edition, doesn't really make me want to play.
I feel like there is all this hype for the game but no one seems to be playing it. I joined the "slow grow" at my LGS that has huge scenes for all kinds of wargames. Today the slow grow was suppose to meet and not a single person showed up for it. All the players were just playing bloodbowl instead. A few weeks ago there was a tournament that had 16 people sign up and only 6 people even showed. I am hoping that when the dwarfs come out ill see more people jump into it. If you aren't seeing the game played at your LGS then your scene is not in a good spot. I can walk into that store on a saturday and see people playing 40k, Infinity, Bloodbowl, kill team, gundam, flames of war, and AoS and even Frostgrave. All at the same time. But not a single table is occupied by people playing old world.
Takes quite a while to get an army together though, I’m still painting and assembling mine
I got into Warhammer through Total War, and now that I’ve played TOW I’m loving it. Taking dwarves to my local game store’s tournament next month.
Using Sigmar models?
@@WreckItRolfe 3d printing and other retailers. It's easy to get generic fantasy dwarfs
40k player since end of Rogue Trader...only GW game I play now is Old World.
I recently got back in 40k after years away from the hobby and have completely abandoned it in favor of Old World. It's just a better system
And Old World isnt even a good Warhammer Fantasy system ...
Maybe it's taking off where you live, but it is a stillborn game in my area. Barely anything but bretonnian starter boxes has sold, and nobody has been playing it except for 2 people who never stopped playing fantasy.
Ive barely seen anyone playing AoS for the last year but every club and games night ive been to has been full of old world. Funny that 👀
The worst bit (for GW) that their refusal to support it with proper releases and what seems like a deliberate effort to make the stuff that has been released really difficult to buy people are turning to 3rd party, 2nd hand and 3d printed to fill the void. Its not an issue to me as a customer but as a shareholder its worrying seeing such a level of incompetence that leads to a ton of money being left on the table
Im loving the old world and the content you provide for it. Keep up the good work!
I think it'd be bigger if they didn't kill over half the cool armies, but at least we got free rules...
Dont you like paying 30$ for 8 pages of rules :(
The ruby ring of ruin is over used and just silly. If it was a once use item fine. But every turn you can get 2D6 damage out from a random guy is silly
Very strong and active community over in Sheffield, I'm glad to say, the regular night at my FLGS gets all its tables booked up very quickly.
Oh shit!
Not got my army finished yet but I'm glad to hear there will be an active scene once it is!
I have seen the death of the Emperor ;)
Id love to get back into WFB but until they support the missing factions im not interested.
Try Armies Project, a fantastic fanmade Warhammer Game
I want TOW to do well, but I want GW to evaporate into irrelevance more.
The only time I've seen someone play Old World in my local scene was about 5 months ago. Both those players shelved their armies and only play 40k now.
I know a guy who sold his 40K army (mostly to me lol) specifically to buy in to Old World. Never did.
Since Old World came out we've had probably 10 or 15 40K events, not even a single Old World one.
Guess Old World is doing well in the UK and dead here in the US.
here in CO its been decently popular, and im from central texas and the Austin to San antonio FB group is always poppin.
Huh funny that the wargame that actually incorperates tactics and stratergy instead of raw maths and number crunching, attracts and entertains wargamers.
Old World is a terrible wargame, older editions and fanmade editions like 9th Age or Armies Project are just better versions of it.
The people like the easy access, nothing else. The game itself is mid at best.
They better release my dwarf or i will molotov theyr hq
Also legion imperialis seems a great game but its horus heresy only so to the hell with them
Old world in my zone is doing more or less fine, it has a small community but it isnt even beting the famade version here so lets not even talk about 40k but to be fair the fantasy community is still splited here
The necessity to make this video, shows that the game is dying fast but, some players are trying to keep it alive.
Square base supremacy!
Soo suuceful it bacome the out of stock insted old world ;]
I'm here for the old world!
I'm all in on empire thanks to you too. I shall be painting many many state troops.
I still fear for it. GW just does not sell miniatures for this game. when (IF ever) they finally pull the finger, everyone and their dog will have their battle ready and battle tested 3d printed/alternative miniatures armies and no need for GWs release anymore :( self reflective as GW is in my personal experience, this could very quickly lead to a fade to nothingness. And it is fully self inflicted. Yes we ARE exited TO PLAY THIS GAME NOW. Not in a year, not in three, NOW, got no miniatures to sell??? Well. I got mine elsewhere. For 1/4th of the originals price and without the loss of any model quality on top of being able to play now.
They are too busy sanitizing the lore to sell products. They need to make sure they have 50% female knights in bretonia, 50% female empire, 50% female orcs (yes that's not possible, no they won't care. Orcs are "male coded" and that must go)
