Just today I stumbled randomly upon a Facebook group which covered the topic of solo-boardgames. I was immediately interested, because I didn´t know that such games are really a thing. Scrolling through the different posts in this group, many people asked about good games to start with and your name popped up several times. Then I searched UA-cam for more information and maybe a first look on how your games look like and how to play them, and here I am. And now you got yourself a new subscriber and I can´t wait to get my copy of Battles of Kursk, which hopefully arrives in two days. I only hope that the language barrier isn´t that bad as I am expecting it, because I am german.
Love the look of these games. One little gripe if I may? Tank firing turret weapons: they seem to be able to fire through a lot of hexes containing terrain that would potentially block line of sight? Or am I missing something?
No, you're right. The system in this particular game ignores intervening terrain. It's a choice I made to keep line of sight simple. You could view the trees hexes as not being thick woods but areas with trees in them. Distance generally makes it harder to hit too so in a way intervening terrain is factored in but in a simple way, to keep the game moving without the need for line of sight judgments.
I'm thinking I might try and build a bit of a hex board and get some 10mm miniatures to use for this - I see no reason that would not work Edit: although i would need to be able to set up the terrain pieces and roads etc somehow hmmm
Hi Mike, good job with the orders mechanic. You've managed to implement a command and control system with simplicity and elegancy. Nicely done!

Welcome to the hobby. Hopefully my rules are nice and clear and should translate pretty well. I hope you enjoy the game, and thanks for buying it.

Really nice! We all need a Mike Lambo game about WWI, don't we? 😊
Have you looked at Assault on Vimy Ridge? Canadian forces in France in WWI.
