After 2 years on lion diet/omad, i don't crave any crapy carbs, or toxic sugar, or nasty grains. At 53 i feel like 23❤
Do you feel it’s necessary to be in ketosis while on carnivore? I’ve been doing OMAD carnivore since January 1st, not lion.

@@ActivateMission2ThisTimeline I’ve been carnivore since January 1st and I do not get into ketosis. I do eat cheese, have about 1 oz of heavy cream along with eggs, pork, beef, chicken whatever and I’m building muscle. Just curious if it’s necessary to be in ketosis?

I’m with you Larry. I took a break from carnivore and when I jumped back in my glucose and ketones were all over the place. Jumped into a 3 day egg and butter fast and finally leveled out and consistently in ketosis. Great job coming back brother. ❤

Some people believe that a break is healthy every now and then but I am due but I haven’t been up to it lately. I sure would like to still go down a little bit more around my stomach area and that keeps me interested. I didn’t even slip at Christmas but I was open. I don’t like to feel restricted and I know I have the option so that keeps me interested on staying on the wagon. We all have the options and we’re not in prison. I may allow avocado so I don’t feel so restricted and that helps. Pork rinds and cream cheese if I am really struggling. I know that I am spiking my insulin whenever I eat. Last, if I eat, it usually follows with additional appetite so I try to eat enough to hold me over and be satiated.

It always feels good to get validated when you've worked so hard at something. Carnivore isn't always easy on us , but so worth it ! Proud of you both. Thanks for keeping it real. I had pizza yesterday and feel like I've been run over by a truck. Back on track today. I just had 3 pieces of bacon and 2 scrambled eggs in butter. I'm on my way to work, wish me luck cause I work in a restaurant. lol Some days are hard but I ate before going in so it makes it easier. 😀

I'm so afraid of going off plan because I never did like meat very much. So I think if I eat a bunch of carbs I am not going to want to eat meat. It took me a couple weeks on carnivore to love meet and I just don't want to go through that again.

Thank you so much for this! I cheated really bad last night, I woke up sick and swollen this morning. I’m kicking myself as to why I thought it was a good idea to eat something I shouldn’t have. I’m going to fast for a couple of days, I can’t stand the thought of eating right now. I’m almost glad this happened cause nothing is worth feeling like this.
If most are honest we’ve fallin off the meat wagon, great advice on recovery. The standard food does taste great but it does take it’s toll. Great video thanks Larry hope Cassie is doing well and happy at her new job ❤

Lost 27 lbs in Jan BBBE. Went off the rails in Feb. Only gained 5 lbs back thankfully. Holding in March. Need to get my head back in the game. Food addiction is hard. Fasted last 20 hrs. Slept all day yesterday. Called out of work Thursday, Friday, and today Monday. In such a funk.

Wow! 🎉cheat days are horrendous. I made a rule to never eat sugar or flour for the rest of my life.

K, I’ve been carnivore since January 1st, low carb, KETO, OMAD and longer fasts at 58 years young healthy male the last 6 years but I do have to drop 20 lb of fat. I’m feeling lean lifting weights and riding mtn bike on carnivore, what you ate on your carnivore reboot I eat every day but I’m not in ketosis, my question is: is ketosis necessary on carnivore? I understand there are a million different benefits of being in ketosis but is it necessary? Thanks, just asking a lot of carnivore YT’er what they think.
I can't do moderation, Nobody can eat in moderation. The serving size for an Oreo cookie is three cookies. Has anybody in their whole life ever opened a bag of Oreo cookies and only ate just three when I used to buy Oreo cookies I opened up the bag and eat three trays worth follow that up with a half of gallon the chocolate milk some Doritos with cheese dip and the fried chicken for five dollars from Safeway and some mashed potatoes with bacon ranch, than pass out from a food coma wake up take a two hour pain full dump because of my IBS and go for round two because my body was going through with drawls and I needed my fix. I'm addicted to carbs and sugar Once I get a taste I cannot stop. I will never introduce anything back into my life. No fruits, no vegetables, no pizza, no nothing because I know I will crash hard. That's just like a recovering alcoholic thinking they can have just one beer. Impossible. Plus once you fall off the wagon It's to much trouble to try to get back on track. I would rather just stay the course. Just like back in the day. JUST SAY NO. everyday I'm faced with challenge especially where I work every damn day there having some sort of pot luck. In my spare time I edit movies for local film maker here in Tucson and I would go to the set to pick up the footage and audio and craft service galore with every possible junk food known to human kind is sitting out on the table. No, No and Double O-R-E-O No. Reeses as far as the eyes can see. Sea of salsa and chips and hostess everything. I see all these actors eating this shit than when it's time to perform there lines there tired and need a nap. Than the director having problems all I want is the footage so I can get home. Just grin and bear it and walk away.

That's not a reverse sear. Reverse sear is when you put it in the oven first and then sear at the end. The way you cooked them is how every restaurant cooks steak, sear and then finish in the oven.
We do it both ways, the method you mentioned is called a forward sear👍

I do my eggs really easy. I use 1 oz garlic butter, then 6 eggs. No scrambling. Put a lid on, till finish add Salt , paprika and 1 oz mixed cheese ❤ I just love it.

True story... We went on a three-day Valentine's weekend (in the middle of the week) to Tagaytay over here in the Philippines.. I ate sssoooo much stuff that was far from carnivore. I mean grilled cheese, garlic rice, waffles drenched in syrup.... The even after we got home, I took my glucose reading and it was a 4.7.. still better showing the effects of reversing my insulin resistance. It was just getting the ketones back in sync that was the problem. MCT oil, butter in black coffee and pork belly did the trick. Eggs cooked in salted pure butter is the best I have ever tasted. It is the only way I cook eggs now.

Good stuff.......should have weighed yourself before and after to see all the water weight gained and lost. I do this from time to time. I usually gain 5-7 lbs and comes off in 4 days and I hit ketosis on 5th day esp if I eat higher fat percentage
I also pee like crazy day two and three and thats when weight comes off the most but I also go way off the rails worse than you did when I cheat

I'm personally tired of screwing up. I'm absolutely not that person that lost weight on carnivore or ketovore. Only 30lbs lost in one full year. Don't know where I'm going wrong but obviously i have . Only diff was due to gastric sleeve done years ago, i cannot consume the amounts of food i see carnivores eat. The last month I've basically given up, sorta. Wish i could bunk with a succesful carnivore, have them feed me and see what happens. But that ain't gonna happen. I'm about to spend an undetermined amount of time to be with one of my younger sisters as she finishes up her time on earth, Big C. So. I'll either lose my appetite at some point or eat anything not nailed down. Scary stuff. I have to many reasons to lose weight, get healthy. 67, arthritis, fibromyalgia, heart problem blah blah blah. I would love my last years to be much better. Don't ever spill my guts onto the phone, so i know I'm desperate. I've watched a buttload of carnivore videos and just dont get it. It seems I had been doing it all right, even intermittent fasting most days. There should be no physical reason I cannot lose weight besides being sedentary due to weight and pain. I'm happy that you were able to get back on track. You two are so lucky to have each other for support. Being alone in this amongst all family and friends gets very hard.
Could you have a thyroid problem or insulin resistant. I just found out I’m both. It’s been hard to lose the weight. Hopefully I will be able to now.

It’s not like our twenties when we could lose weight easily.
I’m trying not to be frustrated, and I love the healthier feeling of no to low carb meats & seafood.
But I’ve only lost 38 lbs in 8 months.
It took 8 mo. To get my energy back.
So keep at it.

The only way I can move the scale is fasting, & I don’t like it.

Cynthia I'm so sorry you are losing your sister to nasty cancer. It's a plague and for most it can be manageable and reversable through carnivore and fasting with most cancers. This is something you really should consider. With all of your health issues and cancer running in your family you should look at it like it's your last option at good health. It definitely could reverse your ailments and get you to your healthiest. Be patient, things won't happen overnight and weight may not just drop off immediately. You have alot of healing before and significant weight may come off. I wonder if you are eating strict...no dairy, seasonings, etc. Optimally for healing a regimen of meat, salt, and water. Steer clear of the fluff...tasty recipes. Keep them simple and eat when you can. You body needs nutrition and good fat. I wish you the best. Please keep us in the loop and I'll keep you and your sister in prayer💗

Why do you do this to yourself? And calling it a cheat day sounds like you are cheating on a ‘diet’ when eating carnivore is a way of life. Remember that all diets end, and end up back at the start and then some. I’m always rooting for you and hope you eventually make it to your goals.

@CarnivoreQuest tried it, but escalating meat aversion lead me to serious under eating. We hear a lot from the Anthony Chafees (if steak doesn't taste good, you're not hungry) but, unless you know how many people DONT feel that way, it's meaningless as a 'rule'. 4-5 bites is nice, more is blah/enough, and I never crave it.
Nothing better than rewarding a ‘reprobate binge’ with 2 BAR (big as$ed ribeyes). I’m gonna go get me some pepperoni pizza and chips…..uh nah. Nice recovery. Have fun gang.👍
