I’ve been carnivore for about 4 months with amazing results and less cravings than any other eating plan I’ve tried. However, I have the occasional misstep. It could be one meal, one day, or one weekend. I tell myself that it is okay as long as it doesn’t go beyond that. Events will definitely cause these missteps, but I am determined not to let it get out of hand like I have in the past. I think we carnivores just have to roll like that. Keep going with your carnivore reset. It IS going to happen again. Accept that fact and be kind to yourself, knowing that these missteps are just temporary human errors. Carnivores for life!

Girl, thank you for being honest and most importantly, HUMAN! I made it almost a full month and then I gave in and had a glass of wine 🙈 I’m trying not to feel guilty about it because I lost 12 lbs in that first month and I have not succumbed to sweets, which I was previously addicted to. This includes avoiding a slice of cake at a birthday party, when old me would have downed that thing in 30 seconds. I admire you and you’re such an inspiration!

I needed this video. I’m carnivore/ketovore. I fail at least one to two days every week. When I say fail, I’m usually just keto. I usually eat some fruit with my kids. It’s good to know that we all get back on the horse when we fall off.

I am going through the same thing right now. Started Keto the middle of July and then Carnivore the middle of August, stayed very strict with no cheats through last week and have lost 34lbs. Beginning of October I took a week of vacation time to visit my daughter and grands and stayed the course, returned home and had actually lost 2lbs. Then, in the last week, my husband and I decided to treat ourselves to mexican food, including margaritas. One meal turned into two. I am now paying for it with joint pain and my IBS flaring back up as well as no energy and just feeling terrible overall. The ecstasy was definitely NOT worth the agony! We are now out of town again for a week and will be eating in restaurants all week so it's going to be a challenge to get back on track, but I'm going to do my best because I hate feeling this way. Thank you for sharing and showing me that I am not alone in my mistakes!

I thought I was immune to stress eating... turns out I'm not haha. I was really stressed last Thursday and ended up straying from BBB&E and ate a lot of dark chocolate. @@YeshuaKingMessiah It takes a whole reset of our thinking about food. In my limited carnivore experience, the immediate headaches that follow sugar consumption are working to help me redefine "fun." But the addiction is powerful, so the headaches have not entirely conquered the physical and emotional dependency I have.

I feel so guilty after I do this but like you I just get back on track. Another carnivore UA-camr always says just remind yourself, "just stay carnivore today, even if it's not perfect carnivore, just stay carnivore today." So one day you may have more dairy than you know you should or an extra coffee, but at least it wasn't copious amounts of sugar or carbs and you likely won't feel so much like crap the next day. You're just a real person living in a real world that has real temptations, lots of real temptations. It's a wonder 100% of our population isn't severely obese with how much food/beverage temptation is just funneled into our lives all day everyday. And that's saying something because I don't have social media besides UA-cam, I homeschool our twin boys, and rarely leave the house unless I just have to or we are traveling, but it is overwhelming just how much strategic marketing there is to get all the crap in front of our eyes. Temptation is the enemy from the enemy. Recognizing that helps to turn the tide of the battle I do believe. Love seeing all your content! 💙

I had to treat my carb eating like an addiction. I don't use artificial sweeteners or keto treats for that reason...they might not feed the body carbs, but they do feed my addiction. And so I now take a "no compromise" approach. When I get tempted to eat that one french fry or that one corn chip, I remind myself that I'm an addict and for the sake of my health I have to say no. You have to re-start the battle after each compromise...sometimes you're strong enough, but sometimes you aren't and that starts the downward spiral. After I quit drinking many, many years ago I still allowed myself that once a year binge, and every time I took it too far. After I gave up my "once a year", it was then that I felt like I was really gaining strength. Good for you for fessing up and pledging to get back at it, best of luck to you.

If I had started carnivore when I was younger and more hormonal, I know I would have had many times like this. Now that I'm an old lady, I don't get tempted by sweets or junk food. I usually shoot up out of bed and float through my day, it was starting to feel normal and now I remember how I felt when I ate more standard American “moderation” with a bit of everything.

Do not beat yourself up. It's nice to hear a video admit to weakness in food. I have been on carnivore since June and our family is BIG and with three birthdays in July, three in Aug, and again three in Sept (thankfully none until Nov). I was faithful to myself at each of these gathering (mine was in Aug) because I make myself see everything as poison to my body, which it is. BUT, that said...my daughter makes the best iron skillet apple pie. She can only get a particular apple type for it in the mountains, and they went this weekend. I have already let myself and family know I am having a piece of that pie. Good luck with yourself...be kind.

I feel you. I've done carnivore most of this year, but continued to have stomach issues, so gave up for a bit. Found out I have a legit stomach condition, cut out cream and some cheese, stopped trying to do high fat, and have come back on it feeling so much better. I do take a deliberate break during halloween, thanksgiving, Christmas, etc., and bounce right back the next day. MY stomach hurts and I certainly don't go crazy like I used to, because it's not worth it for me.

I, too, am still having stomach issues, even though I’ve been on carnivore for almost 6 weeks. I know I have to cut out the heavy cream in my one cup of coffee in the morning and my Vernon’s Zero and my Sparkling Ice water (because of the artificial sweeteners). My Vernors Zero is paramount in keeping me from wanting sweet foods, so I hate to give it up. I feel really great except for the continuing stomach discomfort, and I’m hoping that the LMNT Electrolytes that should be arriving tomorrow will take the place of the Vernors Zero. I guess we all have our issues whether we are carnivore or not.

Appreciate your honesty - and being real! I’ve struggled too that last few weeks being Carnivore. 3 months in and zero results. Mainly BBBFE, still not sleeping at night, itchy skin, and just not feeling great overall. Headaches on occasion. So I went dirty Keto recently & that brought on the sugar cravings and I fell off and kinda binged. I’m menopausal & I truly believe nothing will work for me right now. Sad but true. The only time I’ve had success in overall health and weight loss was when I was eating Whole Foods plant based. My challenge with it was mental as it left the door wide open for cheats and artificial sweeteners. Anyway, I’m still trying to figure out what’s best for me. Thank you for your video ❤

Hello! Yes, it can be frustrating because I have watched a ton of videos where the way just fell off of a bunch of people when they started doing carnivore and I have not consistently had that experience. I’ve lost 35 pounds but sometimes it was 6 1/2 pounds in one month and two in the next. I think you have to figure out what works best for you and if carnivore is not right for you then maybe you can go back to the whole food plant-based. I wonder if you are having some kind of allergic reaction to maybe the eggs? Are you using pastured eggs?

I'm hoping carnivore will be different. I'm only on day 5 so a LONG way to go. Any pointers to help avoid this in the future would be useful to know. You've done extremely well in my book. Also, eating until you are comfortably stuffed at every meal helps you to not crave any other food👍🏻

I believe the biggest mistake people do when starting a carnivore diet is counting the days.Starting a diet this restrictive needs to be a lifetime commitment type of mindset. If you truly want to do this diet you need to have a real reason for it. It cannot just be for weight loss purposes. For me I've being doing it for a over a year and I just can't see myself going back. It has cleared a lot of auto immune problems for me. The weight loss was just a bonus to be honest. I wish you all the best , and believe you can get back on it. But again , I'd recommend an approach where you stop counting the days. It will make a difference I promise. Of course you'll always know roughly how long you've been on it.But putting an exact time line just puts you in a position for failure in the first place. And a lot of times failure will simply make you realize how great you felt when you where on the diet in the first place!

@@JennyMitichI am the only one I know personally. My immediate family and close friends are not carnivore. One family member keeps bringing home candy, chocolate mousse cake, cheese cake with strawberries, and vanilla ice cream from his restaurant. The sugar addict in me finds them almost irresistible. Since I have no history of binging, thank God, I eat very small portions of these things, but they do keep me in a state of craving, and they give me headaches and stall my weight loss. He really means well, wishing to be a blessing to the family.
To be fair, he ALSO brings home delicious steaks and pork chops every shift he works, so I am not complaining! In fact, I would have a tough time doing carnivore without his constant support of my meat-eating.

I describe myself as carnivore-ish. I'm mostly carnivore but once a week I get a tablespoon of sugar in my coffee (Sundays). Once or twice a month I let myself have a latte. I started a transition in September and then strict carnivore for first two weeks of October and these have not triggered me to eat any other sugar. However part of my way of eating includes a pint of blueberries and 2 avocados over a week. I also do cream, cheeses with my BBBE. I use whatever seasonings I want. Lastly I do sometimes add onions and/jalapenos to my meat. While I'd like to lose 100 pounds I'm fine with it taking a year and a half instead of a year if I enjoy it more. I plan on this being a way of life for the rest of my life. So I'm ok with it. Finally, I have not felt any return of inflammation or raised my blood sugars levels when I've added these items. We all have to find our way.

In October my hubby and I went on a European vacation; I had already decided that I wanted to eat what ever they had; when we got back which was the last day in October discovered I had not gained a pound; more then likely because of all the walking; the day we got back I got sick with a virus which had me in bed for almost two week, then my hubby got sick; so frankly both the months of October/November were a wash; no weight loss at all; gained the same two pounds off and on; so now its December my plan is stay on carnivore but if their is an event or party I will eat whatever; what I have discovered is that veggies, fruit do not effect me as much as the carbs. My goal is to loose at least three pounds which is my monthly goal; I can not deprived myself or I won't stick to it. Just like you I will start again. I'm proud of myself I have lost 30 pounds these last 4 months with no weight loss the last two months; but that is okay.

I'm having trouble getting back since my birthday, September 28th. Now I'm baking chocolate meringue pie. Gaining. Dagnabit

That's interesting how you get joint pain with gluten. I always thought I tolerated gluten perfectly fine with no digestive issues, but it wasn't until I stopped all gluten that my shoulder pain and low back pain went away completely. I saw a couple videos where it's thought that gluten is at least mildly inflammatory for all humans.

Yes, it took me forever to figure it out. And it’s kind of frustrating because anytime I have a little bit of gluten that little bit of knee pain comes back, so I really can’t eat it. But that’s OK, I’d rather be healthy and pain-free than eat gluten😀😀😀
