Awesome! Loved these guys since early 1970s I was like 5 years old. Didnt know who the Doors were but Riders on the Storm ruled the rock stations it was on all the time.
Great Show! Happy 50th Anniversary. I am enjoying the rerelease of LA Woman with the unreleased demo tracks. It’s fantastic! Densmore mentions that Ray and Dorothy had a 2 Bedroom apt in Venice that was $75 a month in 1966. Now the same apartment is probably $2500 a month. It was a simpler time back then. While the pay was definitely less than today, one could get by with less as well. Now you can’t. So life was easier back then.
Nadie como "The Doors" para expresar la rebeldía y anhelos de muchas generaciones. Son el más grande grupo de rock de toda la historia. Saludos desde Tultitlán, México.
Great! Thanks for posting this celebration of the Doors! John and Robbie are still alive and Jim and Ray are in the Sky. Maybe they are jamming on new or old songs. Who knows? Anyway, most people don’t know they were from Venice Beach. The best American band to this day. The best musicianship. Nobody could play organ like Ray and nobody could sing like Jim! They were both incredible! 😎👏🏻⚡️🔥🎸💥🙏🏻
I'm a die hard fan of the doors for over twenty years since I was in the 10th grade when I was 16 years old and my late dad was a fan of the doors in his hey day and I know it's a just shame that Ray Manzarek and Jim Morrison are not with us anymore because they passed away
That will be terrible. I wasn’t on the earth yet for Jim, but when Ray passed away I was incredibly sad. He was the greatest storyteller & so positive. I hope Robby & John stay with us for another 20 years at least!
I've been a Major Doors fan all my life, Jim died when I was just 6 months old, so it's obviously an After-The-Fact thing with me. But, now Ray is also gone & while before, I dug it when the 3 got together, it's just time to call it a day. Jim sang "When The Music's Over", but that's the beautiful thing. It never will be. It's eternal. Like Jim is eternally just a kid.
Could the world really handle another Jim Morrison ?The die was cast in the mold was made .It's sad to say he was one of a kind .The music's not over ?
Jay Birdy dead were a folk band with two drummers and no singers. They weren't great on any level except as a disappointment. The Doors had the most unique sound in rock and roll. Nobody sounded remotely like them. Dead's music was a bore. Doors were exciting, you never knew what to expect when they played live; in fact, they never knew what to expect from Jim.
Lithium __6794 They're from same state, different planets.Doors a thousand times better, more original, interesting and edgy. Imagine Jim singing a garbage song like Sugar Magnolia. You can't. He wouldn't.

Before I get to my main point. Now I hate that Oliver Stone movie that portrayed the Doors. But it did introduce me to them I listening to Greatest hits and after that I started by their albums. There are Superb musicians. Shame I never got to see them. Unfortunately I wasn't born around the 60's.

Glad to see Densmore doesn't hold any negative feelings towards Ray Manzarek. These guys are living legends, may they live on for another 1000 years!
Considering john sued Ray until Ray had cancer and died from the stress.
The Doors are the best! The West is the BEST 👍

These guy represent a spirit when California was on the rise...freedom and creativity. A day that evidently is now gone.
the best band for the 60s

I spent my money. And just arrived from Père Lachaise Cemetery.where the lizard king is RIP.what a experience.
The percentage of todays music that is good does not compare, but there is still good music being made.

3:45 me too :)
Densmore is a really cool guy. He’s grounded. A real product of the ‘60s. I wonder if Krieger still resents him over the money.
Nice
Fuck! I should be there!
One song missing is Paris Blues.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️🙆🏻♀️🙆🏻♀️🙆🏻♀️🙆🏻♀️
sometimes you don't realize what time does to folks.
This was America's greatest rock band....not the Grateful Dead (although they were a great band, not even close to the Doors).
Jay Birdy Fuck yea! NO ONE fucks with The Doors!
Doors are 10× better than the grateful dead imo 💯

Where’s the drums? Why no organist? Why not use a rock singer?
