They differ for each map and yield different results for any Partner you use. •As of v4.3.0, a Beyond Boost meter is added in the game, which could be filled up by consuming Stamina in World Mode and Course Mode. Once filled, it can be used for a x2 or x3 boost play in the Beyond Chapter. •Starting from v4.3.0, Memory Boosts can also be used in the Beyond Chapter, where an x3 boost costs 50 memories. •When both Beyond and Memory Boosts are used in a single play in the Beyond Chapter, they stack on top of each other to give up to 5x progression bonus. •There are 2 Beyond Chains in the game: one in the Beyond Chapter (Kanagawa > qualia > Antithese > Heavensdoor > Pragmatism), and Breached Chapter 1 (Libertas > Einherjar Joker > Vicious Heroism < Purple Verse < Oblivia). •The maps for lastendconductor BYD and Heavensdoor BYD have no affinity partners linked to it. •Apparently, the map factor isn't limited to 2.8 or 3.8 anymore. She also has the highest OVER stat so far in the game, with a bonus stat obtained from completing normal World Mode maps (not including the BYD ones). Similarly, Toa Kozukata and Nami (Twilight) possess skills that aren't affected with the Beyond Challenge, which grants a Clear Factor of 1 regardless of clearing a song or not. •Regarding 1:15, bcs I thought I didn't explain it clearly: Points where you gain free Stamina in BYD maps aren't visible in game, making it hard to believe that you can actually gain these Stamina. The JP Wiki has records of BYD map data that includes checkpoints where those free Stamina are located.
I still love how byds are introduced. I hope the next main story keeps some of those "My dad works at nintendo" style secrets. I remember it taking like... half a day of people randomly getting it and picking up on a pattern slowly

Just got to 9PTT today after starting in April! This guide helped a ton. Although, I don’t know if I’ll even be able to play whatever song I unlock in this mode since 8+ songs still give me trouble lol.
The better trick here is that you calculate the final multiplier yourself, final multiplier = over stat / 50 * affinity then compare the final multiplier
Hey! I'm a new player that just unlocked Lucifer. Can you unlock the lost chapter (Beyond) before tempestissimo? (I only have 7.00+ potential) can you view or use the chapter before unlocking beyond? Or will it stay locked. anyone please answer my question. I really want to unlock beyond and other beyond charts.
uhh i'm confused but yeah beyond charts are unlocked one by one. once you access the byd chapter and unlock at least 1 byd chart from there, you get to play the difficulty itself i guess
The whole section at 4:19 is massively incorrect - it even ignores the equation that you posted at 2:00. Doro C earned less beyond progress in your example because you *FAILED THE SONG WITH HER* while the other 2 cleared their songs. That alone is a 1x multiplier for failing compared to the 3x multiplier for clearing, although it goes through several other math steps but it should be clear to anyone that that's not an accurate comparison. For progressing Bookmaker's beyond unlock, Doro C is the 2nd highest progress partner, losing only by a tiiiiiiny margin to Nami in first, but Doro C is much better than Saya's overall progress multiplier despite what your example was trying to show. For Laqryma of the Wasteland's beyond unlock, your incorrect example might convince players to use a different partner, but any partner would need an OVER stat of 150 to be equivalent to the multiplier Doro C ends up at with the affinity correctly applied.
you can get 9.00 potential without spending anything, and you can still get a few free beyond charts (10 of them afaik: 4 on the top right, 4 on the bottom left, 2 at the middle). i don't think i said you needed to pay..

you can unlock the beyond chapter without buying anything, you only need to reach 9 ptt or higher. after that you can grind the maps one by one
