- The Great White Terror of Jaws provides a different look at night. You're riding a boat through the water where he's lurking just around the corner. This is a full ride-through of the ride at night at Universal Studios at Universal Orlando.

Nor I. I'll never go on the Twister Ride again either. That ride was based on my Favorite Movie. I'm Talking about Twister Ride it Out, not the Jaws Ride. But Jaws is also one of my favorite movies. Others include ET, Titanic, The Perfect Storm, the Jurassic Park Movies, etc. Not to mention Men in Black
With all the technology don't know why they couldn't solve the issues. They need to revive this ride and update it. Would love it if they made the boat rock like jaws was under the boat. So much more they could do, shame they gave up!
They didn't give up, the ride was one of the least popular attractions at the park at the time of it's closing. It was an outdated and unpopular ride with sub-par actors that took up valuable space. Removing it and replacing it with Diagon Alley was a very good move by Universal.
@@Teachworth01 What are you talking about this being one of the least popular rides? It was incredibly popular, and one of the few classic rides still left at the park
Maybe it's just me, but I swear I heard him say no photography or filming. but just be aware that if you do your camera might get wet

they need to keep that ride, that is the most memoriable ride when i went there when i was little, so was king kong

I would be pissed off if that guy was my skipper on the ride. He was borderline sarcastic most of the time. If you get to ride it at night they should be more into it if anything. Acting really scared and stuff. It's so much scarier at night to see a shark come out of the water.

I love this guy as a skipper. That's why I loved the ride through my childhood because it was always different because of that but I can't wait for the new WWOHP area!

@ManEatingSharks I meant it in the sense that though it is certainly an enjoyable ride, the attendants, short films that played in the que, and effects were all making light of the film it was based on. Who among us could call the ride the most realistic we could get to the film? However with Universal's newer projects such as WWHP, and the Transformers ride, they are going for a much more interactive approach of putting the riders in the movies, instead of having them ride alongside it.
I remember 5 year old me screaming and crying in fear while on this ride. That same night at the hotel, I couldn't sleep because of a towel hanging on the door. Towel had the shape of a shark.

@Universalcoasters On the contrary, I actually always wait in a longer line for this ride compared to other Universal rides. It's a bigger area with the Fear Factor stage which they are probably getting rid of too, it has big animatronics, boat drivers that costs more money, and gasoline / fire. I don't like what they are doing either, but yet I must say I do like the Mummy coaster even though King Kong to me was the best in the park at the time, but it was major money.
@stringfellowhawke247 well what other reason would there be to close down a classic, fan favorite attraction than the fact that it screws up at least once a month? I mean it's animatronics in the water, that's kind of a problem waiting to happen. Plus there's tons of videos of people on the ride when it malfunctions
Aww I'll miss that ride...why do they have to get rid of it...I live in California and the one here in Hollywood doesn't have it and they are the ones that do. Well, I'll miss that ride and the videos will be memories of it.

This ride scared the crap out of me as a kid. At nighttime during the 90's, I'm sure there were plenty of kids who poo'd their pants when Jaws popped up...And I remember the fire roasting my face. Anyways, now that it's 2015 the ride looks pretty silly.
My face was nearly roasted in the 90's at age 5!

@angelakasuna rumor has it they're building a Hogwarts Express that will link the parks. Images of British countryside would be projected onto the windows. Jaws' fanbase didn't even come close to that of Harry Potter, so they're catering to the masses. Like the 'Back to the Future' ride, Jaws was a quirky and very, very cheesy expansion to the series, but with the WWHP Universal are taking things more seriously. And it's certainly paid off.
I remember when i went on this ride i was like 8 then im 19 now and i rode it in the day time i started screaming and crying i was so scared
A 19 year old, screaming and crying? Geez, and I thought I have to worry about babies and little kids ruining the ride.

@MinaandMarelleCole It's not so much cheesey as it is out dated. Still, it was one of the originals so it's sad that it's gone.

I don't care that people think the ride is "Cheesy" the movie was too. I don't see why they have to keep getting rid of all the good classic rides. RIP Jaws.
