Yes! I love this so much! So, I never had watched Harry Potter, don't worry Potter fans I will, my mom told me that we were doing this. I went on this ride, and omg, it felt like I was actually in the movie! The effects were so cool. It wasn't a scary ride. Just a sit down ride to enjoy. Outside our train door was Harry and his friends talking. They did something, not gonna spoil it! Awesome ride! Luckily we went when there wasn't a lot of people entering the subway. Great video! x
I went on this train ride this past December, and I loved the effects on the train. Especially the silhouettes of Harry, Hermione, Ron, and the Dementor.
Aaah! Nice touch with them vanishing through the wall! We travelled on the Hogwarts Express coming TO Kings Cross from Islands Of Adventure so didn't see this effect. It's great to see that you get 2 differing experiences depending on which side that you travel to/from. LOVE it!
Very surreal to hear Foxton and Royston mentioned. Foxton is such a small little village (nice place though), and Royston is, well, Royston… but regardless of Royston’s state, they’re close to my home in Letchworth and I ride past them both when I travel to Cambridge on the train. I think they did an incredible job replicating King’s Cross from the outside, and while the inside looks a little less like its real-life counterpart, I can see they did the best possible job with the space they had.
People are saying it's a dumb ride, but it's not really a ride. It's more like an experience, an interesting way to travel from one park to the next. But I will say tho, if the line to get on the train is so long, I'd rather just walk to the other park then take the train. I'll waste less time that way, it is just a train ride after all
It actually sort of works as transit, because it connects the backs of the parks, and otherwise it's quite a hike to get from one end to the other. But only if the lines are short (when I rode it, it was a week when few states were on school vacation, and they were nearly nonexistent). Aside from being a way to hawk park-to-park admission, it fills an important niche: it's a big signature Harry Potter ride for people who are too timid or little for Gringotts or Forbidden Journey.
@@Autistic_Homo I’m not being rude, I’m saying they should’ve gotten a voice actor that sounded more like Emma Watson. This one sounded nothing like her.
I agree. I wonder why the actors didn’t send in voice over’s for it. They had them act out for the rides, why not send in voice clips for the train? Makes no sense
This was my favorite ride there cause it felt as though you were in london traveling to hogwarts for your first year! I love riding it! Im a huge potterhead and its seem quit reel
just got back from this a couple of weeks ago, watching this is one thing but being there is another................def recommend especially if you have your robes and your wand. SO MAGICAL
I remember riding this. I rode in the off season so It was not as filled with people to ride. It was amazing. Im not a big potter fan. But I loved what universal did to it so much I became a fan.
If there's one thing I've noticed about Universal, they are excellent at making ride lines look and seem shorter than they actually are. They have to have some of the freakin' longest lines of any theme park I've ever been to. Even if there's no wait, it takes forever to walk through them.
I'm not a Harry Potter "Huge Fan" I sat and watched them with my nephew as he made me and I thought they were "pretty neat" movies. I WAS VERY EXCITED to take him on vacation and ESPECIALLY on this ride which I knew he had been dreaming about!! Having said that, I was BLOWN AWAY with how unbelievable the entire thing was!! I was blown away with the park!!! Those were two days we spent that I will NEVER forget!! I am very glad I allowed him to talk me into spending two days at the park! I have successfully locked up the position as favorite uncle EVER and for that more than anything could not be happier!!! ha
Wait. Where is the lady who sells candy on cart like in the 1st movie? Aw man. That was one of the things I was thinking that was gonna be on the ride. 2/10, no magic chocolate frogs coming to life to and running about.
Last time my parents and I went to Orlando, I was about 14 and they were just about to open this whole harry potter area and we were gutted to have missed it! I live in London and go to Kings Cross station pretty much daily and just watching this video reeeeaaaally excited me..it really is a very good replica!!!
I actually Live near Kings Cross Station in London, I went to Orlando for the first time in my life last October, i was having such a fun time in the universal studios going on all the rides, then seeing the Front of the Kings Cross station imitation a wave of Depression just hit me, i couldnt explain it
I went to the Studio Tour in London, so I can imagine how people feel going to the American attraction. When I went to the one in London there are so many iconic sets and props you can look at, walk through and take pictures of. You can tell the staff really enjoy their job, enjoy the books/movies, and you feel immersed in the magical world. While America has the rides that I would love to go on and has a different style of experience, I hope I can return to the London Tour when restrictions ease (and have some money for the shop 😛)
when my family went I was maybe 13. I wanted to be a smart ass, and I yelled "I'm going to hagwarts!" I decided running into a wall was a great idea. ya I broke my nose
Imagine being a fan of Harry Potter, reading all the books, seeing all the movies. And wishing so hard for all of it to be real only to go to Universal and realizing your wish came true.
I want to go. But since I don't want to travel alone I will ask my BFF to please take me to Harry Potter World. Virginia (where I live) is not THAT far from Florida.
I loved the Hogwarts Express!! I got the two days two parks pass, so that the first day I could do just Harry Potter things literally went no where else or ate anything non Harry Potter (breakfast at Fortescues, lunch at The Three Broomsticks and supper at The Leaky Cauldron) and this train kept the magic going for me through the day! Best day EVER!
This was not the actual train from the movie, The real Hogwarts express runs from Fort William in Scotland along a restored railway for tourists and harry potter fans. Also Hogsmeade Station is actually on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR) and that part of the film was shot at Goathland Station.
I know... I should take up politics with my amazingly shite bank of knowledge and when my career fails I'll take the default option and lecture at an overrated university whilst living in my parent's home.
Sam Ferguson But besides England/Scotland, The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter in Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood is one of the closest ways you’ll get to going to Hogwarts.
The Hogwarts Express is train is actually a Monorail that goes through the backstage area of Universal Studios. I know this because I went on a Universal band trip for Music USA, and we got to go through the backstage entrance.
I’ve been on the actual steam train , which didn’t actually depart from kings cross, but if you want to go on it go to the North Yorkshire Moores railway, great day out, and you can stop at goathland station which is featured in the film.
2 things I remember most about this ride, 1: the walk to get to the train was so long I was able to finish the Earl grey ice cream that I thought I was going to have to throw away. 2: the AC was broken the day we were there and it was 97 and humid outside, it was HOTTT inside that thing.
At the end where the trolley lady came by, I really thought she was gonna open the door. I was thinking they could actually buy stuffs of the trolley, but I'd imagine it would take up a lot of time if they had to go 1 by 1
I went to Universal last year and did this, i'm going back this year too in July! I remember my dad was mad because I got him to buy me a $50 Hermione Granger wand...I went around and did the quest and i'm excited to do it this year again too. My cousin and her family are coming for the vacation to because the entire family rented a house in Orlando...Idk why but I have this thing where I really like to show off sometimes so i'm excited to get my wand and act like a pro-expert and teach them how to work the wand.. The only thing I didn't like about the train was it was kinda foggy and musty, but it was just like the movie! The train was really loud but we got on anyways! This is an experience I will never forget and if you're reading this comment you should surely convince you're parents to take you here cause it's amazing and a childhood memory that will stick!
AnimeRockz It's not coming to USH. We're getting the Forbidden Journey ride, the Hippogriff roller coaster, and all of the Hogsmeade shops and restaurants. Pretty much all the stuff from the first Harry Potter park in Florida.

jjperceval Just sayin it doesn't sound anything like her
TheShining Katana yeah
MY GOD THE VOICE IS SO HORRIBLE
MANCHILDS PATHETIC
If this were realistic, the driver would have been on strike and you'd have to take the replacement bus.
😂
I wonder if the Hogwarts Express ever has that problem...
+Kougaji Sciacallo Not to my knowledge, but this is mainly because the Hogwarts EXpress drivers are members of the Magickal Transport Workers Union (MTWU) and *not* the Railways, Maritime & Transport (RMT) Union! :-p ;-)
Also: As the trains leaving Kings X, look carefully in the background for the plumes of black smoke left by Eurostar Traveller "Care" staff commuting to the office! :-D ;-)
The train is not being driven by a muggle.
YEP
Great video! x
I have to ask my BFF to please take me to Harry Potter World someday.
I went on this train ride this past December, and I loved the effects on the train. Especially the silhouettes of Harry, Hermione, Ron, and the Dementor.
Oh is THE holograms
Aaah! Nice touch with them vanishing through the wall! We travelled on the Hogwarts Express coming TO Kings Cross from Islands Of Adventure so didn't see this effect. It's great to see that you get 2 differing experiences depending on which side that you travel to/from. LOVE it!
so many muggles. bloody muggles everywhere
mark Leeds united that’s racist to hermione
i know right, wtf
Yes, I am A squid Not a Nomag (American Term for no magic)
Hi It’s me squib
Hi It’s me And Nomaj
What? I'm not crying. You're crying. Who'd cry at something like this?
glittery_cucumber uh Harry Potter nerds?
glittery_cucumber lol
glittery_cucumber don't worry i cried as well, especially when i heard the music theme 😭
Harry Potter lol
glittery_cucumber You
Very surreal to hear Foxton and Royston mentioned.
IT IS!!!!!!!😛😡😤😠
Josue Martinez why not use your broom.
Crazy55 rider - the muggles would see! Maybe if you had a invisibility cloak but that’s still dangerous!
Anna G hearts at you.
This made me cry. Thank you so much. My childhood has been brought to life
The voice acting for Hermione sounded horrible.
Ikr?! It sounds nothing like her! :
Don’t be rude
@@Autistic_Homo I’m not being rude, I’m saying they should’ve gotten a voice actor that sounded more like Emma Watson. This one sounded nothing like her.
@@user-gr1xi4kd7o Emma could’ve sued them if they tried to impersonate her so better to be safe for them I guess
I agree. I wonder why the actors didn’t send in voice over’s for it. They had them act out for the rides, why not send in voice clips for the train? Makes no sense
Being a railroader, I enjoyed this video, very well done. The staff made it feel so real. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This was my favorite ride there cause it felt as though you were in london traveling to hogwarts for your first year! I love riding it! Im a huge potterhead and its seem quit reel
Quite* real*
Thesnackthatsmilesback or a huge pothead. Jk jk!
Peters angles tell me why I read this in a British accent😩😩
Yeah this was pretty cool, I like the windows which show scenes like you're going past places, very good effect
@@echogaming2082 True but the places they bulit look nice and real
just got back from this a couple of weeks ago, watching this is one thing but being there is another................def recommend especially if you have your robes and your wand. SO MAGICAL
Nice to see Hull listed on a Departures board in the States (0:26), though it must be an illusion as it says "On Time"...
I did notice that one train - the East Coast 17.57 from
Platform 7 going to York, was cancelled altogether.
Terrible !!!!!
Typical British Rail !!!!!
LOL!
The florescent lights and metal bars everywhere are super magical
Unattended packages everywhere!
That's what I thought, too! Gods forbid the day an officer from the British Transport Police happens to ride this! :-D
3:15 OH MY GOD I LOVE THAT MEN WITH THE BABY AHAHHAHAHQH!!!!!!!!!!!
When the music swells when it shows the castle is a chefs kiss
I love that the dude took the chance to push the stroller into the wall like Harry pushed the trolley
Same
I remember riding this.
James Zagorski The Mummy ride in particular was torture compared to everything else. And that was during October when hardly anyone is in the park.
I have successfully locked up the position as favorite uncle EVER and for that more than anything could not be happier!!! ha
At least they could hirse the real actors so Hermione would sound much better than this.
The original actors did NOT want to come back!
They all got other things to do than do this 24/7
God its good to go back on these old vids, things have changed man....thing have changed.
Wait.
Where is the lady who sells candy on cart like in the 1st movie?
Aw man. That was one of the things I was thinking that was gonna be on the ride.
2/10, no magic chocolate frogs coming to life to and running about.
shut up, nerd!
Me too
Jarred Taylor no u
I know I’m late, but on the ride back there are fake chocolate frogs hopping around on the glass. Wayyyy too cool.
She is, but i believe she is on the train ride from hogsmeade to kings cross
Last time my parents and I went to Orlando, I was about 14 and they were just about to open this whole harry potter area and we were gutted to have missed it! I live in London and go to Kings Cross station pretty much daily and just watching this video reeeeaaaally excited me..it really is a very good replica!!!
3:14 lmao i like this dude
Probably the best themed Doppelmayr creation I've seen.
With the exception of the sliding doors that's not a bad replica of proper BR Stock.
I actually Live near Kings Cross Station in London, I went to Orlando for the first time in my life last October, i was having such a fun time in the universal studios going on all the rides, then seeing the Front of the Kings Cross station imitation a wave of Depression just hit me, i couldnt explain it
That was bloody brilliant!! My childhood dream was always to go to Hogwarts.
I wanted to be a smart ass, and I yelled "I'm going to hagwarts!" I decided running into a wall was a great idea. ya I broke my nose
lol
I think that's actually called being a dumbass 😉
I wish this had been around when I was a kid. It would've blown my mind.
I cried a bit... Sorry not sorry
Bano D'ut im 37...i cried when the dad ran through the wall with the stroller :^)
Same here 😭❤
Thank you so much for filming this and giving us this incredible experience
Imagine being a fan of Harry Potter, reading all the books, seeing all the movies. And wishing so hard for all of it to be real only to go to Universal and realizing your wish came true.
that’s me, i’ve been here before. and i can’t wait to go again. i get there are complaints, but i loved riding this
Although most of it is smoke and mirrors, and it's happening in your head, why does that make it any less real? ;)
It's a fantastic place to visit, walking into Diagon Alley for the first time is a moment I will never forget!
Forget the kids, should see my face everytime I get on the ride I swear It’s like I still believe in magic secretly.
So kind of you to film this! Looks amazing and saved us $40!
This is an epic ride/attraction, loved it.
That looks so cool literally the effects on the windows were so realistic
This was not the actual train from the movie, The real Hogwarts express runs from Fort William in Scotland along a restored railway for tourists and harry potter fans. Also Hogsmeade Station is actually on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR) and that part of the film was shot at Goathland Station.
Really? Wow! Good job Einstein!
I know... I should take up politics with my amazingly shite bank of knowledge and when my career fails I'll take the default option and lecture at an overrated university whilst living in my parent's home.
Sam Ferguson Fort William to Malaig is a part of the main line, not a restored railway.
ride look to me so boring
Sam Ferguson But besides
England/Scotland, The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter in Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood is one of the closest ways you’ll get to going to Hogwarts.
I've been on this ride in the past and I love it!!!!
8:01 there's my boy Hagrid
As a UK train geek I find the destinations mentioned at Kings Cross oddly hilarious.
The Hogwarts Express is train is actually a Monorail that goes through the backstage area of Universal Studios. I know this because I went on a Universal band trip for Music USA, and we got to go through the backstage entrance.
It's actually a funicular with 2 trains, that are pulled by a rope which the motor is located in King's Cross. Still, a very cool ride though
@@GraingerElectrical sounds to me like the back-stage tour would be more fun than the actual ride!
THIS WAS MY FAVORITE RIDE.
9:07
"NOW APPROACHING: HOGSMEADE STATION!"
Seeing Hagrid waving at the end made me cry. RIP Robbie Coltrane
the guy who was so ready to ram his baby into a wall lol
Great, walk 1000metres sit and watch a TV screen with voice over. What an adventure.
Royce Nestor I can walk 2 feet and watch my tv
8:21 “And too this day, the Flying Car roams the Dark Forest, helping any poor, lost souls, lighting their way.
Harry potter world achieves an unparalleled level of immersion. It is an amazing park experience.
Amazing. Wonderful.
I’ve been on the actual steam train , which didn’t actually depart from kings cross, but if you want to go on it go to the North Yorkshire Moores railway, great day out, and you can stop at goathland station which is featured in the film.
Best trick in this video is how you made that two hour queue dissapear.
This is an experience I will never forget and if you're reading this comment you should surely convince you're parents to take you here cause it's amazing and a childhood memory that will stick!
five minutes walking around in circles before you even get to the ride. SHEESH
I love how the entrance is themed like a real London train station!
Cant wait for this ride to open in Universal Studios Hollywood next year in Spring xD
AnimeRockz It's not coming to USH. We're getting the Forbidden Journey ride, the Hippogriff roller coaster, and all of the Hogsmeade shops and restaurants. Pretty much all the stuff from the first Harry Potter park in Florida.
excelle des vanne
Nope. You only get the hogsmeade part. That means no train, no gringotts, and no diagonal alley.
