      i was in the 1st grade, and instead of disney my parent brought me to universal and proceeded to tell me that all these attractions, such us disaster, twister, mummy, Jaws, etc were real. Id ask them "is it real am i gonna die" and they were just like "it is real, but you should be ok" I was crying everytime. Not to mention i was not tall enough to go on any of the rollercoasters that I actually wanted to ride.

      I agree with your choices but I would also like to include Back To The Future as well as that ride was great. Once again get rid of a classic like Twister and replace it with a Late Night talk show host Jimmy Fallon. Get rid of Back To The Future ride for a very terrible The Simpsons ride.

    • @thetokutickler
      @thetokutickler Місяць тому +1

      To be fair the Harry Potter stuff at Universal is incredibly solid (despite JK Rowling's attempts to ruin everything and burn it all to the ground), so I can bear with that one even though it replaced Jaws. The Simpsons ride on the otherhand replaced a ride for one of the greatest movies of all time with a ride for a show that was already past its prime even back then. The Jimmy Fallon ride was pretty fun the first time riding, but that small amount of fun isn't there the second time around, so it sucks that it replaced one of the best attractions.
      But, my friends, all of this is peanuts compared to the greatest crime against theme parks in all of history; the abortion known as "Fast and Furious Supercharged"! This monstrosity of a """ride""" replaced both Disaster AND Beetlejuice's Graveyard Revue! Two whole attractions had to be taken down because despite it being such a short and underwhelming experience, it somehow takes up an ungodly massive footprint!

    My favorite thing about theme park/haunted attractions are always the sets. They are like paintings: scenes captured in time, but here you can actually walk into them and marvel in awe at the detail. The set seen throughout this attraction, from the outside building to the interior, is insanely cool! The level of detail and immersion in this disaster-ravaged environment they put you in is off the charts. Love the chaotic feel, it's almost as if you put several action scenes in a movie on pause and started walking through it. And then when you actually get to the tornado, the effects are amazing! Love how the ceiling and walls are all massive screens with CG, and I really wanna know how they made the giant sign and thing from the gas station go flying away. Makes me wonder about the structural integrity of the place haha.

    I’m so happy I found this! It’s so disappointing that they got rid of this! I went to Disney and Universal with my family when I was 5. This was and is my favorite movie, I’ve been obsessed with tornadoes since I was a little kid. I remember being so excited to go on this “ride” but it absolutely terrified me! I don’t remember everything that it showed but I remember the tornado just shooting down super fast from the sky right in front of us. I started screaming and crying. My brother picked me up, held me in his arms (still my hero to this day) and carried me out at the end lol. It’s my dream to chase tornadoes one day. Shout out to all my fellow storm chasers and RIP Bill Paxton, “The Extreme.”

    They're replacing this with a 3D motion simulator ride, "Race Through New York with Jimmy Fallon". Yeah, because there aren't thousands of other intellectual properties that NBCUniversal owns that would have made for a better ride/experience than Jimmy Fallon. Give me a break.
    How about a ride/atttraction based on "John Carpenter's The Thing"? Look, I just pulled that out of thin air as an example. The mind boggles at inanity.

    This Old attraction at Universal Studios Florida just proves how powerful a tornado can be. Experiencing this ride is just as good or as near as experiencing a tornado warning in reality. And it just proves how powerful they can be in reality if you think you can overestimate the tornado. They did a phenomenal job with this attraction I still can’t believe they took it down and I never even had a chance to experience it. But I can see from the main show in this video that they did a really magnificent job and made the ride look very realistic. I loved how the projected tornado tore up the movie screen in the beginning. I also loved it when the glass shattered and all things that you’d expect a tornado to do.

One thing that was ironic and iconic was the damaged Aunt Meg’s house that I wouldn’t have known about. And when the winds blew and the sirens went on before moving into the next room was like the tornado is coming back to finish the job. It felt crazy, but something worth while. If Jimmy Fallon isn't the greatest talk show host of all time why did they make a multi million dollar ride about his career?

    I'm so happy I was able to experience this before it was taken away.
    The video does this ride no justice, the power of that simulated tornado is something to behold.
    And the ride does a real tornado no justice.

      This ride does a real tornado no justice size wise. I've witnessed real storms with my own eyes. I went through TWISTER "Ride it out" long ago.
