Hello everyone! I finally decided to play some rail shooters and record another House of the Dead game. This time it is HotD4, PS3 version. Now that RPCS3 is capable of emulating most of the games that interest me quite well, I don't have to torture my half-dead PS3 to record anything. Thus I have some new entries in my (very) long list of games to make videos of. So, what to expect here... Nothing really unique, to be honest. Just all bosses of the game (including Special) defeated without taking damage and using grenades (well, except Magician, of course but that's only for event scene). Did first two bosses using D-pad only but quickly switched to analog stick after miserably failing against The Empress. So far I can say that it was the hardest HotD game for me to do this challenge. The Star is the hardest boss in the series for me so far. I do plan to record at least Overkill bosses but (as usual) I can't say when I will have time to attemtp this. It is in my more immediate plans, though. Well, that's all. Enjoy!

Nice job dude. I wouldn't be able to pull off this, I may be able to finish the game but I would end up not getting a single no damage boss battle like you did.

It's pretty cool that the Goldman building came back after HOTD2. I've always found it interesting seeing a place that you've seen or been before in a video game and see what has changed. Like Shadow Moses in MGS4.

The Star is probably the hardest, the amount of projectiles he throws out can seem overwhelming. The hardest part is when he's doing the tornado move, the duration it takes before he lands a hit on you is very unpredictable, it could be in one revolution or several As far as final boss goes The World has to be the easiest to date, all of it's attacks are telegraphed and easy to counter, depending on how accurate your aim is, it's definitely not on par with The Emperor or Wheel of Fortune

The thing with the shaking mechanic is that when shaken too rigorously it ends up knocking the gun's calibration out of alignment, leaving you with a woefully inaccurate gun. Even worse if your arcade operator can't be bothered to recalibrate the guns
It's such a waste that this game is a Rail Shooter. Try to imagine how cool it would be to face the Justice boss, in a third person shooter like Resident Evil 4. The fear of wandering around a maze, turning a corner and seeing the approaching monster appear… that would be too good.

The Empress and Strength (from HotD 2) were always my favorite bosses. I believe it's because the thought of being eviscerated by a chainsaw is horrifying-an object that does exist versus a 100-foot, morbidly obese giant or a spider/crab monster. We, as a species, sometimes tend to take our fear of something and turn it into a sense of admiration to make ourselves not as afraid of it and take away its power over us and use that power as our own. Just think of how many people are fearful of spiders. Now, if a graphic designer uses a spider to make a logo for a company, they take that sense of fear and its power over people and turn it into a symbol of power for that company. Anyway, that's just my two cents. This video game series was fun to play in the arcades growing up.

Super tyrant
Alexia and most of darkside and umbrella chronicles are pretty cool.
@lord Liman / ロードリマン yo not alot of people know about morpheus
There are bosses like the ones in HotD, actually. But Resident Evil purists always complain about them, whining about how ''RE is not realistic anymore''.
@@theinbunch1380yeah.
Is this game available for PC??
Minus the World, I wanna see all bosses fight against eachother.
The STAR vs magician will be legendary.
first boss fight is very similar to one of the bosses in house of the dead 2. and the star is very similar to the magician or the final boss of HOTD2
In memory of james
This is definitely super easy mode. The health never goes down so much when I played in arcade
Very Hard difficulty setting, PS3 version.
Railshooters with a Gamepad is a cardinal sin
I love how this never came to PC.
SEGA is amazing in that sense. "Let's let nobodies remake the first game and purposefully NOT release an actually polished game on PC. Great idea !"
You cant emulate or something? ( Not being sarcastic)
@@soulesssantos6x608 I can, I can emulate fuckin’ Umbrella and Darside Chronicles, too, but what does that have to do with Sega and CAPCOM being stupid fucks ?!
What, trying to be smart with me ?
Yeah, it'd be awesome if they ported it over to PC like they did the other 3. Might be worth noting they skipped doing any port of Scarlet Dawn.
If you didn't know, the arcade version of this game is PC based hardware and has been cracked so you can "technically" play HOTD4 in a PC today.
I hope you play as well House of the Dead Scarlet Dawn ^^
Hoping for Sega creates House of the Dead 6 in the future
I wouldn't say no to Time Crisis 6 either. I still have some unfinished business with Wild Dog.
@@seriousspikesam7770 Right, same for the upcoming House 🏠🏡 of the Dead 6 🧟♂️🧟♀️🧟, the only remaining Tarot Card left was The Devil, Time Crisis 6 will be the upcoming 6th entry as well, both Wild Dog and Fang return and vow their revenge on VSSE
@@VSSEDragon3 Hmm. Thorn did speak about the "true purpose" at the end of HotD 3 and seeing how he is the only villain left... he might very well be the final boss of the series.
Unless they continue naming their creatures after different medias.
@@seriousspikesam7770 Okay what about the Devil, HotD 6 have their true final boss in this for AMS agents to defeat it once and for all
hol up i missed something, i know there were two games, but there was a 3rd and 4th game?
This was already 1 year ago now just how fast the night changes
I choose Special because I want to play as Agent G for appearance
Just wondering if anyone knows the name of the on rail shooter game I think it was ps2 or ps3 where you shoot various mythological monsters, I think one of them was sphinx
Do you mean Shhh, welcome to the museum
@@darrenfieldhouse9126 unfortunately no 😮💨
@@darrenfieldhouse9126 It's called: Panic/Haunted museum.
Oh thanks
I am late to the party, but was the game called Crypt Killer by chance?
Dude is killing powerful monster using only bullet
Justice has always been the scariest boss to me
Nice for the evil scientists to make giant leather pants and boots for the giant frog man.
oOo Cool arcade eeee House of the Dead 4 !!!
Justice somehow creeps me out as a kid
I don't own a vr but all of the house of the deads would do some big numbers
