The concept of cutting things is cool but pretty gruesome by nature if applied to human oponents. Getting to chop up bosses at the end in anyway you wanted was incredibly satisfying in a very free yet kinda sick way, I loved it
Well, they were all cybernetic. The only exception is Blade Wolf who is eventually rebuilt, Armstrong who was nanomachines, son... and Sam who was human but wearing a power suit outside of his arm.

Sam is the most epic person out of everyone in my opinion, the man had little changed to his normal human body. But the man still destroyed people that were like full out kitted with augments. What a boss of a man.
36:40 It must be a real severe oversight on Monsoon’s part to not think of having a segmented area anywhere around his head and neck and to have his weapon of choice be a weapon made specifically for DEFENSE and not OFFENSE
I think that in Metal Gear, cyborgs need at the bare minimum their brains and their spines in order to function properly. Monsoon probably couldn’t separate his head from his chest because otherwise that would split his spine in two.
All these bosses has such great memorable personalities. Not just with the voice acting but especially the animations. So glad I’m playing through this.
Charged attack + Jack the ripper mode, the scissors are insane if you managed to get it charger up, it can annihilate all of a bosses health sometimes. Oh yeah and parrying in revengeance difficulty does like 70% of the bosses health
Gonna say, 44:07 gives me the thought of a hero and villain teaming up against a bigger threat (i.e., the helicopters that are always there in the fight). Still love the video!
I still find the game's fascination with Raidens chin so weird, with Blade wolf or Armstrong he barely dodges and when he gets slapped across 10 meters of floor his chin's glowing red hot
The metal gear franchise is one of my favorite video game franchises! For starters it's hardcore and it is so awesome it inspires me to have some nano machines inside my human body which are not only capable of hardening my skin but also turn me into the most powerful cybernetic organism in the entire world.
I noticed this during the video, the first half of the Metal Gear fight says 0 kills then the second half has 1 kill, nice touch to multiple part fights when you “beat” a boss, you can tell if the boss is done or not 43:55 I love how Jack stands next to Sunnerdowner while he proceeds to activitie his second phase
@@thoticcusprime9309 Not the memes mg talks about. Mg talks about memes in the academic form. Or sense. Whatever the correct term is. Watch “Selection for Societal Sanity” by Max Derrat. I think it’s a good breakdown.
I absolutely love how the first boss fight is Raiden absolutely owning a Metal Gear Ray when he annihilated 15 of them with nothing but a handgun and foraged Stingers back when he was made of disgusting flesh instead of gaming mice Also, not staying in Zandatsu for as long as possible during parries is criminal just because if the music intensifying when you do
I just realized that you can technically go through the entire game not killing a single person of you don't hit their head. At 1:14 you can see that the cyborgs have a brain protective system, probably keeping the brain in a prolonged catatonic state, meaning that they can get decapitated and survive so long as the brain is undamaged. You can get through the game without actually killing anybody, excluding those in cutscenes like the Doctor in the lab, Jetstream Sam, and Senator Armstrong.
Jet stream had no cyborg enhancements except his arm, his suit is just an “armor” so he’s has no brain protection, Sam is dead, unfortunately, or else his sword wouldn’t unlock for the the Raiden vs Armstrong fight.
It's honestly so cool to me that because of Raiden being right next to him in his second phase cutscene, Sundowner just commits "I'm running circles around you".
Jet stream sam was such an amazing character, I genuinely feel remorseful about his death and feel the urge to continue on in his legacy, that makes me know for a FACT that this is a Goat of a game
I’m actually glad that Blade Wolf is ok to be honest, I don’t think anyone really cares though, reason why is because being blessed to think for yourself like a human but not being given the freedom of choosing for one’s self, it’s just quite cruel and of course you’d feel bad for the metallic boy
When I first played I did it in hard mode and ignored the parry/block tutorial or anything else in there because I didnt care, but holy crap, blade wolf fight made me feel alive not knowing how to block, my heart was beating.
Raiden: (Literally a living weapon that surpasses metal gear as he evidently singlehandedly kills multiple mgs in the series) Everyone else: (Doesn't talk about it once)
Pros all the Wind of Destruction Guys Mistral have Multi Arms when she's in a tough situation Monsoon has a Over powered ability where he doesn't get slice when he's going against tons of Cyborgs or other Soldiers and Goes very Fast when he throws Smoke Grenades. Sundowner has Explosive Shield when he wants Cyborgs when there striking trying to break his Shield and Long Dual like Scissor sword against Heavy Cyborgs. “It is likely no single correct answer exists” will
Be a quote that will never be forgotten
Yeah.
34:00 YOU CAN PARRY THOSE?! WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL. That would have made the fight a hell of a lot quicker than constantly needing to dodge it, jesus-
You can parry every single attack in the game that is not an explosion or glowing yellow.
@@geo4290 shows how much I've experimented. To be fair, you see that ridiculously big spinning thing and the last thing you think is blocking it xD
@@OsakaLover yeah lol
@@geo4290 Even with the "glowing yellow" attacks there are exceptions, like the GRAD.
Monsoon:... I've shit my pants
Sam is the most epic person out of everyone in my opinion, the man had little changed to his normal human body. But the man still destroyed people that were like full out kitted with augments. What a boss of a man.
It’s like Sam is V and everyone else is Adam Smasher vice versa lol
So. Many. Memories.
Gameplay, Soundtrack, the philosophy and of course, the Memes. Brilliance.
I hope we get something close to this in the future.
Memes… the DNA of the soul.
Monsoon probably couldn’t separate his head from his chest because otherwise that would split his spine in two.
thanks for this, just taking notes on what do for my own revengeance S rank no damage run
51:19: Jetstream sam seems to have a very poor grasp on the concept of starting
All these bosses has such great memorable personalities. Not just with the voice acting but especially the animations. So glad I’m playing through this.
Yeah, but talking about the voice acting i dont like Raiden's actor he sounds unnatural, like over acted
@@walterbarros1854sounds like a fan dub
Jack: "Why did you do this?!?!"
Other villains: "Give 5 pages of a long speech about why they did it"
Sundowner: "I'm just evil lol"
Sam: 1v1 me bro
33:38 watch closely as monsoon loses 20% of health from only 2 hits
In sam's fight the same happens around 74% of his health just drops down to 18% in one blow🤷🏻♂️
Charged attack + Jack the ripper mode, the scissors are insane if you managed to get it charger up, it can annihilate all of a bosses health sometimes. Oh yeah and parrying in revengeance difficulty does like 70% of the bosses health
sam lost half of his entire healthbar in one hit lmfao
" _Greetings, samurai._ "
Now, I envision Samuel as a _Samurai Jack_ character. xD
Sundowner: you can’t break this shield jack!
Meanwhile: the shield was in pieces
Most stupid gimmick yet, with Mistral’s and scissor swords close seconds.
23:16 “i love you with all my heart”
17:36 Dam Raiden Just Went savage in there.
19:05
Raiden: I... protect the weak.
Mistral: U piece of moron.
Gonna say, 44:07 gives me the thought of a hero and villain teaming up against a bigger threat (i.e., the helicopters that are always there in the fight). Still love the video!
I’m just amazed at a lot of these no damage completions
Wow I actually did not know there was another lq-84i on blade wolf's story and every single bit of it is cool A.K.A the hole video
I alway though blade wolf was the only LQ-84i
@@labitoku4235 blade is just a LQ-84I with a SEVERELY upgraded AI. so while he isnt the only model. hes by far the most intelligent of his lineup.
@@romanplays1 yeah I know that, but thanks
Was it before or after Khamsin death (15:17-15:38) when he talk about freedom
The boss fights are very cinematic and very fun to play. And if it isn't the boss fights that get me, it's the soundtrack that goes with it.
I love how ridiculous the parry counter is in revengeance difficulty
This game is so awesome! Imagine if they made an actual cgi movie of this or even for the Metal Gear Series. It can be a blockbuster hit if done right
I still find the game's fascination with Raidens chin so weird, with Blade wolf or Armstrong he barely dodges and when he gets slapped across 10 meters of floor his chin's glowing red hot
Well Raiden does have a metal jaw so why not make it glow like it just came out the furnace?
You played so well i would love to see you doing a walkthrough of this and other games in this play style it's so awesome
The metal gear franchise is one of my favorite video game franchises! For starters it's hardcore and it is so awesome it inspires me to have some nano machines inside my human body which are not only capable of hardening my skin but also turn me into the most powerful cybernetic organism in the entire world.
Same
I noticed this during the video, the first half of the Metal Gear fight says 0 kills then the second half has 1 kill, nice touch to multiple part fights when you “beat” a boss, you can tell if the boss is done or not
43:55 I love how Jack stands next to Sunnerdowner while he proceeds to activitie his second phase
Every Boss in a nutshell
Boss: Why won’t you die?!
The Player: Determination Son
Wrong game but yeah pretty much
Motivation, son
* You are filled with DETERMINATION.
First game I’ve seen where memes are part of the plot-
MGS2 had the whole memes thing too.
Really? Nice, need more games that have memes as part of the game haha
Assassin's Creed and most games that deal with a character's legacy technically are about memes as well, passing down of ideas.
@@tagadhur_malaguld no. thats when it becomes normie pandering. but thats what memes are these days. normie crap
@@thoticcusprime9309 Not the memes mg talks about. Mg talks about memes in the academic form. Or sense. Whatever the correct term is. Watch “Selection for Societal Sanity” by Max Derrat. I think it’s a good breakdown.
that moment where armstrong actually helps him up shakes his hand and even hugs LOL
"Bro calm down Gru isn't in Metal Gear Rising"
Gru in Metal Gear Rising: 6:40
I absolutely love how the first boss fight is Raiden absolutely owning a Metal Gear Ray when he annihilated 15 of them with nothing but a handgun and foraged Stingers back when he was made of disgusting flesh instead of gaming mice
Also, not staying in Zandatsu for as long as possible during parries is criminal just because if the music intensifying when you do
Damn, this game is amazing. Just like one big coked out fever dream.
Forgot to add: you're amazing at this game!
I'm such a damn sucker for the G.R.A.D. transition at 25:42 it's hype as hell and makes a mini-boss feel like a real one
Huh, I have just realized that the first time Raiden fight Ray, the game doesn't show the number of kill indicating Raiden hasn't finished it off yet.
Same with senator Armstrong
30:49
Hits different especially coming from the villain.
If one of the MAIN ANTAGONISTS say that the protagonist has lost their mind, then you know that the antagonist is gonna get their ass beat to hell.
I can't get over how Monsoon's head comically bounced off the ground at 36:53
What the heck, mistral went from like 95 to 19 in a few hits
At the Revengens difficulty level, you can deal a lot of damage with a contour attack
Perfect parry on revengeance difficulty, my friend
@@tritonewt3344 it is still hard to hit because the harder the difficulty the harder it is to hit a perry
Yeah you can drop Jetstream Sam in under thirty seconds with a good parry on revengence
@@specialtyspider8228 the platypus?
@@adonislandry9969that's why he said excluding jetstream sam
does anyone notice that jack sounds like sonic at the end of sam's fight XD
Yeah also when he kills Armstrong he says "Were done here" that voice actor can do a pretty damn good Jason Griffith impression if he was told to.
1:13:16 I love how betrayed Armstrong looks after Raiden called him insane
That backhand smack during the Mistral fight was so cheeky 😂😂
It would be crazy if this game ended at this wholesome moment??? 1:13:00
The good ending 🔥

Damn i am surprised to feel sad about how you destroyed all the bosses
I am even more surprised that this game never have a sequel or a remade
blame konami
The greatest slasher
And I am disgusted to know today’s journalists would most definitely demand the gameplay restructured to fit that “press one button to git gud” image
I’m actually glad that Blade Wolf is ok to be honest, I don’t think anyone really cares though, reason why is because being blessed to think for yourself like a human but not being given the freedom of choosing for one’s self, it’s just quite cruel and of course you’d feel bad for the metallic boy
memesoon, somehow I was able to beat him without parrying ._.
Did you use emps? Those stop him at his invincible phase
@@Mothlord03 I dinst know I was able to do that until my 6 replay of the game, because I watch it in YT.

When I first played I did it in hard mode and ignored the parry/block tutorial or anything else in there because I didnt care, but holy crap, blade wolf fight made me feel alive not knowing how to block, my heart was beating.
Raiden: (Literally a living weapon that surpasses metal gear as he evidently singlehandedly kills multiple mgs in the series)
Everyone else: (Doesn't talk about it once)
I love the change in the healthbar HUD. It felt like we really transitioned from metal gear 4 to rising and that everything really has changed.
Pros all the Wind of Destruction Guys
Mistral have Multi Arms when she's in a tough situation
Monsoon has a Over powered ability where he doesn't get slice when he's going against tons of Cyborgs or other Soldiers and Goes very Fast when he throws Smoke Grenades.
Sundowner has Explosive Shield when he wants Cyborgs when there striking trying to break his Shield and Long Dual like Scissor sword against Heavy Cyborgs.
Sam has no enhancements just his Japanese Style Training where he Can Double Jump and Focus really hard
And Senator Armstrong has Nanomachine to be F Invincible until his Nanomachine stops working.
