I have a 2010 Rav4 2.5L without a power steering pump, but I was able to use same method putting the belt on. The only issue is that I ran into is the belt tensioner is very tight and was difficult putting new belt on. I had to get someone to help pull tensioner while I struggled getting the belt on pulleys. I even bought 3 belts thinking it was a short new belt. I found out you must put the belt onto crank pulley on the edge and when tensioner is pulled work the belt on the compressor pulley and then take a wrench and turn the crank to push belt on completely. It took me 2 days working on this belt. Now I have a new belt and tensioner installed. Thanks for the video it helps.

Glad you were able to get it on. Great tip about the edge of the pulley. I know that new tensioners can add a level of difficulty to it sometimes. I’ve not changed that out on this vehicle yet. Thanks for commenting and watching my video!

Looks a whole lot easier than the 2007 2.4L Rav

What's the difference? I know that engine is a bit bigger. Is that what makes it harder?

@@MCFIXIT I think it's the type of belt tensioner the 2.5 has that makes it easier. I refused to replace my own serpentine belt on my 2.4L so I took it to a shop for them to do it and it took three of the techs working hard to get that stinking belt on.
