0:05: It's perfectly normal for teenagers to have crushes on someone, but this little brother took things to the extreme. OP was right to put a stop to this before things went too far and shouldn't feel guilty about it. The little brother seems to be neglected by his loved ones. Hope he gets the help he needs.

If I were the boyfriend in the first story I would be also be concerned about monitoring who my little brother is interacting with online. For me it not just that he proposed to his brother gf but mainly he a minor and she an adult and he doesn't seem to understand that an issue. He could be suseptable to creeps/predators.

First story: The little brother needs a lot of help. I hope he gets it. Second story: One of two things is happening. Either the boyfriend has some fetish about braces, or he's worried that when his girl gets them off, she will be more attractive to other men. Either way, she needs to think long and hard about her future with this guy. Third story: The boyfriend is a real clown. The girl who wrote this post is a real prize, too. She broke up a relationship for essentially selfish reasons. And the boyfriend - what did he expect his ex to do, sit around for the rest of her life and wait for him to come back? These two deserve each other.
Third story: sad as it is to say, yep, major clown. He was getting ready to propose to his long term gf but broke up with her for OP bc “friendship”??? What was his logic here?
OP shouldn’t have said yes to dating him so shortly after he broke up with his potential fiancé, it really was selfish of her and it does sound like her only hesitation to getting him help to be happy again is that then he wouldn’t be with her anymore, smh.
Given in the second story he was 27 and her 18 when they started dating, I'm pretty sure the braces thing is more because he has a fetish for children then anything else. He was pushing 30 when she was barely an adult. And I have 2 siblings 24 and nearly 25 who both say anyone younger than like 22, 21 at a push seems young and like a child to them. Based on all that information, I would say that guy is definitely a red flag.

I think the friend told his girlfriend what OP had said. They had a fight and broke up. This fits with him taking some time before getting with OP and why he's crying over ex girlfriend dating someone else.
The girl in the last story raises some red flags. It feels like she is leaving details out of the story to not sound like the bad guy. Im guessing she and the boyfriend had to be having an affair and she didnt like that he was still with his girlfriend. Cause I find it strange that he would up and just dump his girlfriend and then spend some time away from the best friend if he was supposed to be with her. That doesnt make sense. My guess is they were fooling around with each other, girlfriend found out, they broke up, he probably was trying to convince his girlfriend to stay with him, she refused, hence he went to his side piece ( BF) and then is crying because he doesnt like the relationship he has and is upset he lost his girlfriend who has moved on with another person. Thats what it sounds like actually happened.
I read that leaving braces on after they're no longer required can lead to nerve damage, and since braces make proper tothbrushing difficult, leaving them on too long can lead to tooth decay: one of my teeth was starting to decay when I got my braces off.

that first story is so sad. the thing that's crazy is it took that to get the parents to take the little brother to therapy. sucks it happened, good it had a good result that hopefully is a helpful and long-lasting outcome

In the third story, it's all her fault because she choose to cross those boundary lines. In my opinion, best friends should get into a relationship with each other because let's say that do start a relationship, but something goes wrong and they break up, then there goes the whole friendship straight out the window. Now sure the both of you still might be friends, but ya'lls friendship will never be as tight and as strong as it once was before. Sadly I know this personally because I once fell in love with my best friend and she dumped me over time but she said that we were still friends. She quickly began to distance herself from me more and more and more to where she just stopped being my friend completely.

First story, OP feels guilty because the Little brother is that, little, if this was an adult proposing to his brother's fiancee I can't even imagine the repercussions.
Last story sounds like an alternative ending to Romeo & Juliet. Glad to see that the 'Rosaline' in this story seems to be moving on away from that pair.

Legality shouldn’t be the only thing on your mind for things like this, younger people get taken advantage of a lot because of legal loopholes. How in the world is a 15 year old evening able to afford an engagement ring in the first place? The little brother will gave to learn a very hard lesson over time, and that lesson is that no one is special. In the second story, your boyfriend is very afraid because he know that once she gets her braces off she's going to be even more attractive and he just can't stand it.
