When I was a child, sometimes at night, I would hear heavy breathing through the vent. I was told it was an opossum. It happened several times throughout my childhood, and I remember it. It sounded like big lungs, like a person, and was as creepy as F.
@@NoName-hv7xn My brother heard it too, so did my Mother, at different times. When an opossum gets in the ventilation tubes; that's what we think it was.
@@ricktheexplorer Here in my country we don't have many opossums so I don't know much about them, I just searched them and they look like they can get quite creepy, well, if that's the case then good, but I can imagine how scared you got.
Mine happened late at night when out of nowhere my bunny statue that my grandma gave me(It was a small tall one) fell off of my shelf which was above my bed right onto my stomach. No cats were up there nor was my window open and the bunny wasn’t even at the edge. It just fell of. Terrified the life out of me. It even managed to leave a scar on my stomach. I don’t have the shelf or bunny anymore and luckily the scar was not permanent but it still scared me a lot. Lol
I had something similar happen, but with those old Big Boy Burger piggy banks, and my mom's cat had passed away like maybe two months prior. Not to mention the shelf didn't have enough space for a cat to even fit. But it freaking felt like something knocked it over on me.
Rabbits can be dangerous. I used to raise rabbits when I was a kid in the fifties. We had 62 rabbits at once time. They would NOT lay those colored Easter eggs so we ate the rabbits. 🤪 Now that I'm old I would not choose to kill a rabbit; I would pet them and brush them. Years ago, I was in the kitchen of the house of my girl friend (now wife) and her mom. I was at the sink and I tripped over their Spaniel dog. I said "Do be careful, there!" I saw the dog disappear and I realised their Spaniel was on the other side of the room on her bed shivering with fear. I thought "a ghost dog? Wow." They confirmed that the house did have a ghostly dog.
Ghost dogs always kind of amuse me. My mother and I lived with my grandmother for about 15 years because she'd needed some assistance as she'd gotten older, and that meant sharing the house with her dachshund as well. When her dog passed at 14 years old, I'd been away at university, only to come home for the holidays and find myself constantly hearing the clicking claws of the dog's nightly trek out to the laundry room where we'd kept the floor covered with puppy-pads so we didn't have to let her out in the middle of the night. Literally, the first night I heard it, I turned from my computer by habit to call to her, it was that loud and clear. Pretty sure my grandmother was having some kind of ghostly visits as well, as another night I could hear her yelling at the dog to lay down and go to sleep, as she always slept on her bed with her. Shortly after that, however, the nightly sound of wandering paws disappeared, so I can only assume that the dog finally decided to pass on from this plane after realizing that she was still going to get yelled at for moving around at night even as a ghost.
Similarly to the last post, my cat Cupid would have his moments of terror out of nowhere. He'd look terrified looking next to where I'm standing, accompanied by meows of pain and fear (which I know too well since I took him to the vet many times). At first we thought he's afraid of me since I'm the one that yells at him when he misbehaves but NO, because he'd sometimes wake up and just be in this state of fear. He usually goes outside a lot a and comes back for a quick meal. The bathroom door is right next to the apartment door so he has to walk by it if he wants to come in. And on several occasions he'd freeze by the door and refuse to walk by the bathroom, just staring at it. If I try to carry him he'd flinch and run back outside.
My scary story is that when I was younger I had dolls in my room that would move. They would sit on my bed or floor. As a kid I thought it was cool, like toy story, but as I got older, it happened less and less as I started to feel uncomfortable and scared when it happened. Eventually I asked my mom to get rid of the dolls because it creeped me out. When I was older, I was talking about it to my dad and he said, “really? those dolls moved?” He was really freaked out. Turns out, before we moved into our house when I was 2, two little girls (I think aged 3 and 5) died and they used to share my room. My dad wholeheartedly believes that the dolls were being moved by them. That’s why I felt so comfortable around them as a child, they just wanted to play with me. Still creeps me out. Apparently their father (the previous owner of the house) actually wrote a book about it, and I’m in the book.
@@hello__512 I don’t know, my dad never told me. I don’t know if I’m allowed to read it and I don’t know what it’s about. I never knew the guy, I don’t think he really wrote about me, just mentioned the fact that a family with a cute two year old was moving in. I don’t know if he was writing about his experience of losing children or if he experienced something supernatural too? I’m not sure.
One time I was home alone in the afternoon, as my parents had gone to get groceries. I was just chillin watching youtube, when I DISTINCTLY here the piano in the basement start playing. It happened three or four times before they got home, and when I eventually worked up the courage to yell and see if there was someone there, it stopped. Scared the crap outta me.
For the story at the end, with the dog barking at nothing and staring at the ceiling. My dog did that exact same thing one time and after turning the lights on I came to realize that he was just barking at a fly that I couldn’t see in the dark lmao. I was genuinely terrified for like 10 minutes though at first😂
Around 11pm in my old apartment, my cat curled up on my chest, as she does. I wasnt asleep yet, so I know that she was... she was even lightly snoring, dreaming of something. Out of nowhere, her head shot up and she looked behind her towards the bedroom door. There was no sound I could hear, that would wake her up. With the angriest, most threatening growl Ive ever heard her make, she jumped up the second she layed her eyes on the doorway (I keep the door wide open for her), ran to the corner of the bed nearest to the door, ears back, tail fluffy, growling again. After few seconds, she eased a little bit, stopped growling, and warily followed out the door, stoping and looking at something, as if she would be following it to make sure it is really leaving. Looked to me as if something came into doorway and she chased it away. Needless to say I slept with night lamp on after this, and she never left my side through the rest of the night, which is very unusual for her.
My parents in the 90's forgot to lock the door that evening and were on the couch (right by the front door) that night and some dude just like walked in and then stood there for a second until my dad screamed to get out of his house and the guy just sorta looked confused, turned around, and walked out lmao been paranoid about keeping the door locked ever since
Funny enough we had a neighbor do that once but he had been working doubles for a few days and was just REALLY fucking tired. He was really confused seeing my dad instead of his wife for all of two seconds until my mom came in from the backyard. This happened before I was born and my dad has ribbed him for it ever since. "Hey, remember that time you walked into my house by mistake?" "It was 27 years ago and I was tired! I was off by ONE house!" XD
My mom told me that there was something that tried to get me when I was just a few months old. She and my dad were at the kitchen preparing milk for me when they heard a VERY HEAVY footsteps on the roof leading to the room I was in. It was a very quiet night so they audibly heard the heavy pattering. My mom ran so fast and carried me with her. She saw a silhouette by our window and she went out of the room as fast as possible. Until now, we still don't know who or what tried to get me and she's literally shaking as she was telling me this story
Dogs do see things. Ever since 3 houses ago, we’ve been followed by…..something. Just last month, Macy, one of our dogs was growling really low and mean sounding. This was strange cause she’s usually goofy and friendly (both with people and other animals) and when she does growl, it’s because she’s playing. Her growls are never low or serious and it’s peppered with happy barks unless she sees the “something” in our house. I heard a noise, looked towards it and saw nothing. I look at Macy, she’s staring at the wall and growling and then tracks something with her eyes all the way to the other side of the room. Then she just stops and lays down by me to guard me. She didn’t relax for the longest time even though she was laying by me. She was just staring at my window like she was making sure it didn’t come back in. Dogs are the best. My other dog sees the “something” sometimes too but is more afraid of it than angry. It’s rare for it to come around much anymore. Dogs are the best.
One time while I was home alone in my duplex. I found my cat at the time sitting and staring at the wall. I called her name and she slowly looked back at me before returning her gaze back to the wall. Freaked me out
so this isn’t exactly a home alone experience, but last year i had sleep paralysis for the first time and it scared me so bad. i was in my room but everything was distorted and desaturated; and everything on a table or dresser was floating. i distinctly remember having the thought that i had a business meeting that day, which made no sense as i am still in high school. anyways, i suddenly see this shape in my doorway and think “oh the person here for a business meeting is early!”. but he walks into the room and he’s about 8 feet tall and wearing a suit. he’s also abnormally skinny and his face looks like it’s melting. so i start to think something’s wrong and feel panic when i realize i can’t move. he just kept walking slowly towards me and his fingers were spinning around. when i woke up/got out of sleep paralysis i could hear coyotes howling right outside my window and every shadow i saw for the next month looked like the man in the suit. i was terrified
Lmao reminds me of that time i woke up and saw my dad on the roof like spiderman laughing at me when i screamed it started with footsteps and me thinking "oh its ok he is just returning my watch..." bro what? my dream didnt even say anything about a watch! oh also idk if it counts as sleep paralysis since these happened a lot to me at that age and i could move just fine it was like the hallucination part of sleep paralysis but not the paralysis part.. I have had sleep paralysis a couple times now though luckily i was under my blanket both times so i couldnt see what was making me sink into my mattress... Somehow??
1- The doppelganger story is especially creepy when you consider people say you die when you see your doppelganger, so what if the mom doppelganger was trying to lure the real mother to view it? 2- My story A while back (about a year) my mother was already asleep as I was taking a bath. Our living space has a layout like this: Entrance, left next to it a bathroom, kitchen door right across. on the right side theres a long corridor that wraps around a corner where there's first my moms bedroom, then mine, then a bigger bathroom straight across from my bedroom. I was taking a bath in the big bathroom, when I was done I checked my phone, standing between my bedroom and the bathroom. I knew the light in the kitchen was off which I don't like because unusual stuff happens in the kitchen when its dark. That was when I heard a weird gurgling and scratching from behind the corner, far enough to come from the kitchen. Trying not to get spooked I told myself it was one of the cats, then I noticed they were both next to me. :/
I lived in a broken house, no I wasn't homeless or in poverty, my family just couldn't find a house to rent/buy and they don't like hotels.. the house I lived in was around 120-160 years old, the kitchen had a broken roof but the rest wasn't.. we had 2 dogs, It was night when suddenly our dog barked at the roof, our other dog was shivering in fear.. turns out the house is an ancestral house and people who stayed in that house also saw something, I have more stories of this specific house and neighborhood too, tell me if you want to read it!
@@sorayaluthy520 OKAY!, so my sister,mom, my great grandma and I were driving to the house, my sister saw a girl covered in white and long black hair covering her face standing infront of the driveway, she yelled at my mom, not the exact words but "MOM WHAT ARE YOU DOING! STOP THE CAR YOU'RE GONNA HIT HER', she stopped and said 'what are you talking about?" and suddenly my sister had a shocked expression, my mom proceeded to drive.. the crazy thing is that we all had the same dream of that girl.
@@ihaventgotjamseither179 okaaay! so basically outside the house there's a tree and theres a bench attached to the tree, and there is also a bench infront of you, I always sit there and read my book.. but one day It was around 4pm, it wasn't that dark but I was alone, as I was reading when suddenly a little girl with pigtails around 6ish went up to me and asked if I could help her sit in the bench infront of me, I of course agreed and asked why she isn't in the party with all the neighborhood kids, she said "because they don't wanna play with me", I did felt bad but asked where her parents are, she said "oh they left me here", I was spooked out and thought she meant that her parents were out or something, but I basically told her I was gonna read out my book to her so I can cheer her up a little, when I looked at my book and looked back to the bench, she was GONE.. ( I still read my book out loud though!)
One time I couldn’t sleep because both of my parents were snoring so loud, and I closed my eyes to try again and suddenly I heard rapid and heavy breathing and my bed shook like someone ran into it. I thought it was my dad but then I heard him snoring, and I could hear my mom snoring too. I’m an only child in the house so to this day I still have no idea what I heard and felt, I told my parents and neither of them believed me saying maybe I’d fallen asleep and dreamed it, but I didn’t, I was on my phone when it happened because I was so bored from not being able to sleep.
We have one of those LED mood lights at the living room. I was alone at home inside the bedroom with the door open when it suddenly turned on. So i very cautiously went out to check on it… got the bejeezus scared out of me when i startled the lizard that was walking over the touch pad remote 🤦♀️
I live in an old house in Idaho, my wife has a friend that is a paranormal investigator, he kept asking if they could do an investigation. We told him that nothing has happened, but in 2020 my wife went with her family on a trip. It was around 6:00, I hadn't slept well. Then I woke up to the sound of a woman saying my name "Daniel" clearly. I woke up and said" what the heck" it took me a couple of hours to go back to sleep. I wasn't upset there was a ghost but I was upset I was missing sleep. My wife was happy to tell her friend, they brought their team over and recorded several voices including one saying my name. They might still have some of the footage on the Western Idaho paranormal website
The heavy breathing thing has happened to me as well. Few years back, I was staying at a private hostel (because I didn't wanted to stay at campus 24×7, don't judge me 😅). I had a single room, so no roomates, or human beside myself. I locked my room door and it was a summer night so I left the window open, but the windows have bars(So no one can sneak out at night), and I just slept and cover myself with a duvet, and don't know why, I cover my head too for just about few second, when suddenly there was heavy inhumane breathing just infron of my face, I never saw what it was but I screamed on the top of my lungs. And the hostel building has 6 floors and my room was on the 4th so I know it was no animals either, and there were no animal around that hostel, and as I mentioned, the windows are barred, so no animals can enter either. As I screamed, our warden sister, whose room was just beside mine called me and asked what happened and I told her, she switched on my light from outside and there was nothing. I calmed down prayed and went to sleep, but yeah after that incident I never left my windows open at night. And I even cleansed my room and burned incence(in my religion we consider it holy).
A few weeks ago I was home alone while my husband was at work. I wasn’t feeling too well I was in bed resting for a good bit of the day. At some point I was laying on my side facing the wall when I heard the bedroom door open and I heard someone walk in. It sounded like my husband because I could hear his boots and his uniform as he walked in so I just thought he had come home from work early. I felt as he got into the bed bed to me. I could hear his breathing. I could feel his body right next to mine. He had said something to me then I dozed off afterwards. When I woke up later and actually turned around, he wasn’t there. I panicked and started messaging him just to find out that he had never left work. I explained to him what had happened. It was so freaky and so realistic. I still don’t understand what happened.
9:29: Dogs do pick up on things that humans are unable to. But for all we know, he may have been growling at a mouse running through the rafters of the ceiling or something like that.
When I lived with my parents, our late dog Krystal repeatedly went over to the staircase, barking at someone/something upstairs. I kept going up to see what was there and would find nothing. So I would keep ringing my mother to tell her. Her reason was that Krystal could probably sense my late twin.

I remember when I was younger, I would always hear a weird sound from the basement that sounded like a cuckoo clock, but we didn't have one. One day I decided to be brave and went into the basement to see what it was. It was way scarier than a ghost. It was a gigantic lizard and I ran out of the basement screaming. My parents brought it out of the basement a few days later in a sack while it was still clearly alive.
One time I was pet sitting for my aunt. She had 2 big dogs, I don't remember the kind of dogs they were but they were decently big. But I was in the living room (this was in the afternoon) folding clothes and video calling a friend when all of a sudden I heard a loud clear knock on the backyard sliding window door. I freaked out and I KNOW I was not hearing things because my friend over the call heard it as well. Later I was really scared (this was a bad and terrible idea) so I went outside into the backyard (near where the knock came from) and sat on a chair still video calling my friend. The dogs came out with me and played with each other. Then one of the dogs layed down on the concrete (still near the area that I heard the knock) just sitting there trying to sleep.. his ears perked up and he stood up barking at nothing... The only thing from that direction was the same door I heard the knock from. I told my mom later that day and she said it was probably a tree branch that made the knocking noise but I told her there were no trees near that door.. btw the previous owners husband died in that exact house..
I was up pretty late one night just standing in my kitchen grieving (my sister had passed away a few days earlier) a few yrs back. I heard knocking on the door leading from the kitchen to the back yard. The top half of this door is glass so I could see that no one was there. I even peeked out and down to see if a small child or animal was out there. The knocking continued for a least half a minute and then just stopped. I did not open the door. I'm not about to invite anything into my home like that.
The little sister and the shadow figure, reminds me of when I would always see shadows in the house and my mom not believing me. Well, that was until she woke up one morning to go wake me up for school and she saw a shadow in the laundry room. It walked off as she called out at it. Seeing it walk through the middle bathroom(if you walk through the middle bathroom there is another door that leads into the hallway that leads to my room), she believed it had to be me. Though she still went to my room. Only for her to come face to face with me still a sleep in my bed. She questioned me and I just said she had to have seen one of the shadow people, cause I was still asleep when she supposedly saw me. It freaked her out a bit. I haven't seen any of the shadow people in a few years, I wonder where they went....(It's also weird that I haven't seen any of them since my father passing)
The woman who heard her husband's raspy & heavy breathing probably heard her own breathing just before she became fully awake. It happens. I once woke up because I felt a hand on my face. It was my own hand. I had slept with one arm over my head and the arm "fell asleep" so the nerves of my fingers had lost their "touch" feeling. I've been able to resolve personal mysteries ever since the fifties. Even the very rare nightmares are easily resolved, even while I'm sleeping.
I see myself as someone who carries bad luck with her everywhere I go. My door opens on its own every once in a while (like FULLY) I've seen a girl staring at me without an expression on her face. I was sitting at my computer when my boombox was on the top shelf and fell off (the shelf was super sturdy) and it just collaped off the shelf. We had a cabinet and my siblings and I were all in our rooms when we heard glass shatter on the floor (no one but us is home and in our rooms). We all went rushing out and the shattered glass was stacked neatly on each other on the countertop and someone had to have done it because of how neatly it was stacked.
@@Rik_0 I can get behind that, yeah I attract that stuff. My bio mom played with a ouji board when she was little, and at a young age I played with spells. But this has been going on since I was born. My bio mom says it has been. I'm 17 and it's crazy the weird shit that happens to me.
i have a funny story relating to the guy/dog one- one time our cameras detected movement on the front porch and we opened the door cause we saw it was a dog. that dog ran into our house and was so friendly and kept rolling around and playing with my dogs. my cousin got his toe cut open by one of the dogs, and they were crazy. we get her on a leash and then walked her around until we found her owner, who lived down the street
It's cute when you speak any words with a "u" in it as confoosed or instead of con-fyou-sed.. There are a few more but can't think of them. But I honestly find it cute 😊
My dog always barks up the staircase whenever it gets dark but I never thought much about it because my room is upstairs and nothings ever happened but that last story made me doubt everything
I love sleeping in my bed alone but sometimes it gets creepy. I recall a few years back how I would wake up in a very drowsy groggy state and have this feeling like someone was spooning me. The blankets were on my hips so I'd pull them up to cover myself but I'd feel some resistance as if someone was playfully pulling them back. I knew for a fact that my body wasn't on them so it couldn't have been this. I was always too sleepy to turn around and look but it creeped me out, especially if this happened before sunrise. I also have this giant plush panda on my bed which I would face him towards the wall but sometimes I'd wake up and find him right behind me perfectly spooning me. These 2 things haven't happened to me for a while now and infact nothing paranormal ever really happens to me aside from this. Ellen is so funny though, I absolutely think this is a "nice" ghost friend.. at least I hope.
I randomly will hear someone playing the violin when I am home alone or late at night. I distinctly remember one time when I was listening to classical music and it had paused, but I could hear the violin playing the Swan Lake theme. It was around midnight or something and my room was freezing.
This wasn't really a home alone situation, but one night, I somehow woke up in the middle of the night and found a bright light in the corner. It was actually just my computer, which I had forgotten to turn off. Then almost the instant I shut it down, a loud earsplitting noise came from the sky. Though it was obviously a helicopter (probably a. Air Force one because of its disturbingly loud noise), but I was all creeped out and couldn't sleep anymore.
The Creeper entity/demon is a manifestation of negative energies collected in a space. The Creeper is a tall dark figure but likes to roam on all fours, it crawls on floors and up walls and likes to hang on high surfaces such as ceilings.
It was my mom a couples weeks ago She though I was home alone with my dog. My mom: - are you up there Hears yes My mom: can you come help me with the groceries Hears yes again Got fed up "I" didn't come down so she goes upstairs and opens my door and I'm not there Now when I'm home alone I hear doors closing downstairs like we have an alarm system and my dog that's scared of a gentle breeze when she's a muscled dog (pitbull lab) Yesterday it was the third bathroom and my mom asked if I was down there. I'm definitely going to move out next summer
This didn't happen to me, but to my aunt. So about 14 or 13 years ago my aunt would see demons a lot, my family and I are Christians, and one night she was in her room and she said that she peeking up the side of her bed. She asked me what I was doing there, only for her to realize that that person wasn't me. She was visited my a demon that disguised itself as me. Another story I have is when I was home alone with my sister and we were watching TV. It was winter and it was about 5:00 or so. Our internet started acting up in the middle of our show, so I went upstairs to mess with our router. My sister called for me cause she asked me a question, so I turned around to listen to her. Just as I was turning back around to go upstairs, I saw this figure kind of crouched down in the shadows in front of a bookshelf that was in our office room. My sister and I were the ONLY ones in our house at the time. The figure I saw looked like a women, but it wasn't human. I saw a demon in my house with my sister down there with me. It scared the living crap out of me. It still makes me paranoid and freaked out to this day.
I'm guessing the one with Doug. The guys apartment was probably the one over or he's visiting someone and got the apartments messed up. Imagine how bad he felt after 😭 that would be so scary and awkward.
I got woken up by an old man. My BF was sleeping next to me. I felt someone shake my shoulder roughly to wake me. I thought it was my BF. I woke up and rolled over to ask what was wrong. A strange old man I have never seen before was legit hovering over me. He didn't even look like he was standing or kneeling. He was just full over me. And he got right in my face looking pissed off and yelled "GET OUT!" then he disappeared instantly. I blinked confused, and woke up my BF and told him.
Years ago when i was around five my oldest sister and i were watching a movie in our parents room while she was on a date or something. We heard footsteps and a light switch when we got back from grabbing snacks, i start crying from getting scared my sister was too but she was the oldest she has to prefect the younger ones. She calls my mom, my mom calms me down the next day we find out it was our dog who made the footsteps cant remember for the light switch might’ve been a delayed click Edit: i figured since were sharing stories I’ll share this one: one time when i was around 4-5 i shared a bunk bed with my sister (the middle child I’m the youngest of three girls) i was at the bottom for whatever reason i woke up and saw something in the window i climb of the latter of the bunk bed and see a bright kinda neon green thing in the sky i go tell me dad he comes to see it’s gone. He goes back to bed and i check again i see it once again. I get him again this time it stayed I’m not sure if my dad remembers cause he doesn’t remember super well
Once when I was eight, I had just come into the kitchen after a long bath and my mom looked very confused. When I asked what was up, she told me she JUST saw me in the kitchen and that I asked her if it was alright to go have a bath. I said I had just gotten out of the bath and that I was never out there. She knew from how confused I looked and scared, that I wasn't lying.

When i was a kid we have guests like 15-18 people and we are 6 family members including me. Some of us decided to sleep in backyard in the middle of night i woke up to a cat meowing i looked at the cat for few minutes she's watching me too after few minutes i saw in the sky two old couples wrinkles on face . Husband is laying on bed not able to get up and wife is on the couch sitting talking with him he asked his wife for a glass of water she stood up and give him again i hear cat sound but there is no cat not the couples in sky.. sometimes i feel like i it was a dream but my heart says its not
A few days ago I was sweeping my parent's room and talking to my sister who was on the stairs. Now, if you stand on the stairs you can see everything that goes on inside the room (except for the light switches.) I was lost in conversation as I got out of the room and I know, I just know that I switched off ALL the lights before getting out of the room but the second a stepped outside, there was a click behind me and my sister just stood there, wide-eyed, just staring at behind me and when I looked a light was on. And I am absolutely sure that the click was the light switch turning on. Weird things like this has been happening since we moved into this new house and it's really creeping me out.

Last night I was upstairs in my bedroom and no one was home but I heard some stuff fall downstairs so I grabbed a knife (our neighbourhood isn't that safe) and ran down but nothing had fallen and nothing was out of place. I know that I heard some pots and pans fall but there were none.

Mine happened late at night when out of nowhere my bunny statue that my grandma gave me(It was a small tall one) fell off of my shelf which was above my bed right onto my stomach. No cats were up there nor was my window open and the bunny wasn’t even at the edge. It just fell of. Terrified the life out of me. It even managed to leave a scar on my stomach. I don’t have the shelf or bunny anymore and luckily the scar was not permanent but it still scared me a lot. Lol

I had something similar happen, but with those old Big Boy Burger piggy banks, and my mom's cat had passed away like maybe two months prior. Not to mention the shelf didn't have enough space for a cat to even fit. But it freaking felt like something knocked it over on me.
Rabbits can be dangerous. I used to raise rabbits when I was a kid in the fifties. We had 62 rabbits at once time. They would NOT lay those colored Easter eggs so we ate the rabbits. 🤪 Now that I'm old I would not choose to kill a rabbit; I would pet them and brush them. Don't believe there is such a thing as scary rabbits? Read "Watership Down".
Years ago, I was in the kitchen of the house of my girl friend (now wife) and her mom. I was at the sink and I tripped over their Spaniel dog. I said "Do be careful, there!" I saw the dog disappear and I realised their Spaniel was on the other side of the room on her bed shivering with fear. I thought "a ghost dog? Wow." They confirmed that the house did have a ghostly dog.
Ghost dogs always kind of amuse me. My mother and I lived with my grandmother for about 15 years because she'd needed some assistance as she'd gotten older, and that meant sharing the house with her dachshund as well. When her dog passed at 14 years old, I'd been away at university, only to come home for the holidays and find myself constantly hearing the clicking claws of the dog's nightly trek out to the laundry room where we'd kept the floor covered with puppy-pads so we didn't have to let her out in the middle of the night. Literally, the first night I heard it, I turned from my computer by habit to call to her, it was that loud and clear. Pretty sure my grandmother was having some kind of ghostly visits as well, as another night I could hear her yelling at the dog to lay down and go to sleep, as she always slept on her bed with her. Shortly after that, however, the nightly sound of wandering paws disappeared, so I can only assume that the dog finally decided to pass on from this plane after realizing that she was still going to get yelled at for moving around at night even as a ghost.
Similarly to the last post, my cat Cupid would have his moments of terror out of nowhere. He'd look terrified looking next to where I'm standing, accompanied by meows of pain and fear (which I know too well since I took him to the vet many times). At first we thought he's afraid of me since I'm the one that yells at him when he misbehaves but NO, because he'd sometimes wake up and just be in this state of fear. He usually goes outside a lot a and comes back for a quick meal. The bathroom door is right next to the apartment door so he has to walk by it if he wants to come in. And on several occasions he'd freeze by the door and refuse to walk by the bathroom, just staring at it. If I try to carry him he'd flinch and run back outside.

My scary story is that when I was younger I had dolls in my room that would move. They would sit on my bed or floor. As a kid I thought it was cool, like toy story, but as I got older, it happened less and less as I started to feel uncomfortable and scared when it happened. Eventually I asked my mom to get rid of the dolls because it creeped me out. When I was older, I was talking about it to my dad and he said, “really? those dolls moved?” He was really freaked out. Turns out, before we moved into our house when I was 2, two little girls (I think aged 3 and 5) died and they used to share my room. My dad wholeheartedly believes that the dolls were being moved by them. That’s why I felt so comfortable around them as a child, they just wanted to play with me. Still creeps me out. Apparently their father (the previous owner of the house) actually wrote a book about it, and I’m in the book.

I never knew the guy, I don’t think he really wrote about me, just mentioned the fact that a family with a cute two year old was moving in. One time I was home alone in the afternoon, as my parents had gone to get groceries. I was just chillin watching youtube, when I DISTINCTLY here the piano in the basement start playing. It happened three or four times before they got home, and when I eventually worked up the courage to yell and see if there was someone there, it stopped. Scared the crap outta me.

My dog did that exact same thing one time and after turning the lights on I came to realize that he was just barking at a fly that I couldn’t see in the dark lmao. Around 11pm in my old apartment, my cat curled up on my chest, as she does. I wasnt asleep yet, so I know that she was... she was even lightly snoring, dreaming of something. Out of nowhere, her head shot up and she looked behind her towards the bedroom door. There was no sound I could hear, that would wake her up. With the angriest, most threatening growl Ive ever heard her make, she jumped up the second she layed her eyes on the doorway (I keep the door wide open for her), ran to the corner of the bed nearest to the door, ears back, tail fluffy, growling again. After few seconds, she eased a little bit, stopped growling, and warily followed out the door, stoping and looking at something, as if she would be following it to make sure it is really leaving. Looked to me as if something came into doorway and she chased it away. Needless to say I slept with night lamp on after this, and she never left my side through the rest of the night, which is very unusual for her.
My parents in the 90's forgot to lock the door that evening and were on the couch (right by the front door) that night and some dude just like walked in and then stood there for a second until my dad screamed to get out of his house and the guy just sorta looked confused, turned around, and walked out lmao been paranoid about keeping the door locked ever since

Funny enough we had a neighbor do that once but he had been working doubles for a few days and was just REALLY fucking tired. He was really confused seeing my dad instead of his wife for all of two seconds until my mom came in from the backyard. This happened before I was born and my dad has ribbed him for it ever since. "Hey, remember that time you walked into my house by mistake?" "It was 27 years ago and I was tired! I was off by ONE house!" XD
Scariest home alone experience I had was hearing a rly loud bang and I crapped myself 😭😭
My mom told me that there was something that tried to get me when I was just a few months old. She and my dad were at the kitchen preparing milk for me when they heard a VERY HEAVY footsteps on the roof leading to the room I was in. It was a very quiet night so they audibly heard the heavy pattering. My mom ran so fast and carried me with her. She saw a silhouette by our window and she went out of the room as fast as possible.
Until now, we still don't know who or what tried to get me and she's literally shaking as she was telling me this story
Dogs do see things. Ever since 3 houses ago, we’ve been followed by…..something. Just last month, Macy, one of our dogs was growling really low and mean sounding. This was strange cause she’s usually goofy and friendly (both with people and other animals) and when she does growl, it’s because she’s playing. Her growls are never low or serious and it’s peppered with happy barks unless she sees the “something” in our house. I heard a noise, looked towards it and saw nothing. I look at Macy, she’s staring at the wall and growling and then tracks something with her eyes all the way to the other side of the room. Then she just stops and lays down by me to guard me. She didn’t relax for the longest time even though she was laying by me. She was just staring at my window like she was making sure it didn’t come back in. Dogs are the best. My other dog sees the “something” sometimes too but is more afraid of it than angry. It’s rare for it to come around much anymore. Dogs are the best.

One time while I was home alone in my duplex. I found my cat at the time sitting and staring at the wall. I called her name and she slowly looked back at me before returning her gaze back to the wall. Freaked me out
so this isn’t exactly a home alone experience, but last year i had sleep paralysis for the first time and it scared me so bad. i was in my room but everything was distorted and desaturated; and everything on a table or dresser was floating. i distinctly remember having the thought that i had a business meeting that day, which made no sense as i am still in high school. anyways, i suddenly see this shape in my doorway and think “oh the person here for a business meeting is early!”. but he walks into the room and he’s about 8 feet tall and wearing a suit. he’s also abnormally skinny and his face looks like it’s melting. so i start to think something’s wrong and feel panic when i realize i can’t move. he just kept walking slowly towards me and his fingers were spinning around. when i woke up/got out of sleep paralysis i could hear coyotes howling right outside my window and every shadow i saw for the next month looked like the man in the suit. i was terrified
Lmao reminds me of that time i woke up and saw my dad on the roof like spiderman laughing at me when i screamed it started with footsteps and me thinking "oh its ok he is just returning my watch..." bro what? my dream didnt even say anything about a watch! oh also idk if it counts as sleep paralysis since these happened a lot to me at that age and i could move just fine it was like the hallucination part of sleep paralysis but not the paralysis part.. I have had sleep paralysis a couple times now though luckily i was under my blanket both times so i couldnt see what was making me sink into my mattress... Somehow??

2- My story
A while back (about a year) my mother was already asleep as I was taking a bath. Our living space has a layout like this: Entrance, left next to it a bathroom, kitchen door right across. on the right side theres a long corridor that wraps around a corner where there's first my moms bedroom, then mine, then a bigger bathroom straight across from my bedroom.
I was taking a bath in the big bathroom, when I was done I checked my phone, standing between my bedroom and the bathroom. I knew the light in the kitchen was off which I don't like because unusual stuff happens in the kitchen when its dark.
That was when I heard a weird gurgling and scratching from behind the corner, far enough to come from the kitchen. Trying not to get spooked I told myself it was one of the cats, then I noticed they were both next to me.

I lived in a broken house, no I wasn't homeless or in poverty, my family just couldn't find a house to rent/buy and they don't like hotels.. the house I lived in was around 120-160 years old, the kitchen had a broken roof but the rest wasn't.. we had 2 dogs, It was night when suddenly our dog barked at the roof, our other dog was shivering in fear.. turns out the house is an ancestral house and people who stayed in that house also saw something, I have more stories of this specific house and neighborhood too, tell me if you want to read it!

so basically outside the house there's a tree and theres a bench attached to the tree, and there is also a bench infront of you, I always sit there and read my book.. but one day It was around 4pm, it wasn't that dark but I was alone, as I was reading when suddenly a little girl with pigtails around 6ish went up to me and asked if I could help her sit in the bench infront of me, I of course agreed and asked why she isn't in the party with all the neighborhood kids, she said "because they don't wanna play with me", I did felt bad but asked where her parents are, she said "oh they left me here", I was spooked out and thought she meant that her parents were out or something, but I basically told her I was gonna read out my book to her so I can cheer her up a little, when I looked at my book and looked back to the bench, she was GONE.. ( I still read my book out loud though!)
One time I couldn’t sleep because both of my parents were snoring so loud, and I closed my eyes to try again and suddenly I heard rapid and heavy breathing and my bed shook like someone ran into it. I thought it was my dad but then I heard him snoring, and I could hear my mom snoring too. I’m an only child in the house so to this day I still have no idea what I heard and felt, I told my parents and neither of them believed me saying maybe I’d fallen asleep and dreamed it, but I didn’t, I was on my phone when it happened because I was so bored from not being able to sleep.
We have one of those LED mood lights at the living room. I was alone at home inside the bedroom with the door open when it suddenly turned on. So i very cautiously went out to check on it… got the bejeezus scared out of me when i startled the lizard that was walking over the touch pad remote 🤦♀️

I live in an old house in Idaho, my wife has a friend that is a paranormal investigator, he kept asking if they could do an investigation. We told him that nothing has happened, but in 2020 my wife went with her family on a trip. It was around 6:00, I hadn't slept well. Then I woke up to the sound of a woman saying my name "Daniel" clearly. I woke up and said" what the heck" it took me a couple of hours to go back to sleep. I wasn't upset there was a ghost but I was upset I was missing sleep. My wife was happy to tell her friend, they brought their team over and recorded several voices including one saying my name. They might still have some of the footage on the Western Idaho paranormal website

The heavy breathing thing has happened to me as well. Few years back, I was staying at a private hostel (because I didn't wanted to stay at campus 24×7, don't judge me 😅). I had a single room, so no roomates, or human beside myself. I locked my room door and it was a summer night so I left the window open, but the windows have bars(So no one can sneak out at night), and I just slept and cover myself with a duvet, and don't know why, I cover my head too for just about few second, when suddenly there was heavy inhumane breathing just infron of my face, I never saw what it was but I screamed on the top of my lungs. And the hostel building has 6 floors and my room was on the 4th so I know it was no animals either, and there were no animal around that hostel, and as I mentioned, the windows are barred, so no animals can enter either. As I screamed, our warden sister, whose room was just beside mine called me and asked what happened and I told her, she switched on my light from outside and there was nothing. I calmed down prayed and went to sleep, but yeah after that incident I never left my windows open at night. And I even cleansed my room and burned incence(in my religion we consider it holy).

A few weeks ago I was home alone while my husband was at work. I wasn’t feeling too well I was in bed resting for a good bit of the day. At some point I was laying on my side facing the wall when I heard the bedroom door open and I heard someone walk in. It sounded like my husband because I could hear his boots and his uniform as he walked in so I just thought he had come home from work early. I felt as he got into the bed bed to me. I could hear his breathing. I could feel his body right next to mine. He had said something to me then I dozed off afterwards. When I woke up later and actually turned around, he wasn’t there. I panicked and started messaging him just to find out that he had never left work. I explained to him what had happened. It was so freaky and so realistic. I still don’t understand what happened.
9:29: Dogs do pick up on things that humans are unable to. But for all we know, he may have been growling at a mouse running through the rafters of the ceiling or something like that.
When I lived with my parents, our late dog Krystal repeatedly went over to the staircase, barking at someone/something upstairs. I kept going up to see what was there and would find nothing. So I would keep ringing my mother to tell her. Her reason was that Krystal could probably sense my late twin.

I remember when I was younger, I would always hear a weird sound from the basement that sounded like a cuckoo clock, but we didn't have one. One day I decided to be brave and went into the basement to see what it was. It was way scarier than a ghost. It was a gigantic lizard and I ran out of the basement screaming. My parents brought it out of the basement a few days later in a sack while it was still clearly alive.
It must have been a gecko....they are big lizards with colorful skin, they scare me though, we have them too in our area.

One time I was pet sitting for my aunt. She had 2 big dogs, I don't remember the kind of dogs they were but they were decently big. But I was in the living room (this was in the afternoon) folding clothes and video calling a friend when all of a sudden I heard a loud clear knock on the backyard sliding window door. I freaked out and I KNOW I was not hearing things because my friend over the call heard it as well. Later I was really scared (this was a bad and terrible idea) so I went outside into the backyard (near where the knock came from) and sat on a chair still video calling my friend. The dogs came out with me and played with each other. Then one of the dogs layed down on the concrete (still near the area that I heard the knock) just sitting there trying to sleep.. his ears perked up and he stood up barking at nothing... The only thing from that direction was the same door I heard the knock from. I told my mom later that day and she said it was probably a tree branch that made the knocking noise but I told her there were no trees near that door..

I was up pretty late one night just standing in my kitchen grieving (my sister had passed away a few days earlier) a few yrs back. I heard knocking on the door leading from the kitchen to the back yard. The top half of this door is glass so I could see that no one was there. I even peeked out and down to see if a small child or animal was out there. The knocking continued for a least half a minute and then just stopped. I did not open the door. I'm not about to invite anything into my home like that.

The little sister and the shadow figure, reminds me of when I would always see shadows in the house and my mom not believing me. Well, that was until she woke up one morning to go wake me up for school and she saw a shadow in the laundry room. It walked off as she called out at it. Seeing it walk through the middle bathroom(if you walk through the middle bathroom there is another door that leads into the hallway that leads to my room), she believed it had to be me. Though she still went to my room. Only for her to come face to face with me still a sleep in my bed. She questioned me and I just said she had to have seen one of the shadow people, cause I was still asleep when she supposedly saw me. It freaked her out a bit. I haven't seen any of the shadow people in a few years, I wonder where they went....(It's also weird that I haven't seen any of them since my father passing)

The woman who heard her husband's raspy & heavy breathing probably heard her own breathing just before she became fully awake. It happens. I once woke up because I felt a hand on my face. It was my own hand. I had slept with one arm over my head and the arm "fell asleep" so the nerves of my fingers had lost their "touch" feeling. I've been able to resolve personal mysteries ever since the fifties. Even the very rare nightmares are easily resolved, even while I'm sleeping.

I was sitting at my computer when my boombox was on the top shelf and fell off (the shelf was super sturdy) and it just collaped off the shelf.
We had a cabinet and my siblings and I were all in our rooms when we heard glass shatter on the floor (no one but us is home and in our rooms). We all went rushing out and the shattered glass was stacked neatly on each other on the countertop and someone had to have done it because of how neatly it was stacked.
I don't think you necessarily have bad luck, maybe something's been following you or you're like a ghost magnet? Idk if that makes sense
@@Rik_0 I can get behind that, yeah I attract that stuff. My bio mom played with a ouji board when she was little, and at a young age I played with spells. But this has been going on since I was born. My bio mom says it has been. I'm 17 and it's crazy the weird shit that happens to me.

i have a funny story relating to the guy/dog one-
one time our cameras detected movement on the front porch and we opened the door cause we saw it was a dog. that dog ran into our house and was so friendly and kept rolling around and playing with my dogs. my cousin got his toe cut open by one of the dogs, and they were crazy. we get her on a leash and then walked her around until we found her owner, who lived down the street

My dog always barks up the staircase whenever it gets dark but I never thought much about it because my room is upstairs and nothings ever happened but that last story made me doubt everything
I love sleeping in my bed alone but sometimes it gets creepy. I recall a few years back how I would wake up in a very drowsy groggy state and have this feeling like someone was spooning me. The blankets were on my hips so I'd pull them up to cover myself but I'd feel some resistance as if someone was playfully pulling them back. I knew for a fact that my body wasn't on them so it couldn't have been this. I was always too sleepy to turn around and look but it creeped me out, especially if this happened before sunrise. I also have this giant plush panda on my bed which I would face him towards the wall but sometimes I'd wake up and find him right behind me perfectly spooning me. These 2 things haven't happened to me for a while now and infact nothing paranormal ever really happens to me aside from this. Ellen is so funny though, I absolutely think this is a "nice" ghost friend.. at least I hope.

I randomly will hear someone playing the violin when I am home alone or late at night. I distinctly remember one time when I was listening to classical music and it had paused, but I could hear the violin playing the Swan Lake theme. It was around midnight or something and my room was freezing.

This wasn't really a home alone situation, but one night, I somehow woke up in the middle of the night and found a bright light in the corner. It was actually just my computer, which I had forgotten to turn off. Then almost the instant I shut it down, a loud earsplitting noise came from the sky. Though it was obviously a helicopter (probably a. Air Force one because of its disturbingly loud noise), but I was all creeped out and couldn't sleep anymore.

This didn't happen to me, but to my aunt. So about 14 or 13 years ago my aunt would see demons a lot, my family and I are Christians, and one night she was in her room and she said that she peeking up the side of her bed. She asked me what I was doing there, only for her to realize that that person wasn't me. She was visited my a demon that disguised itself as me. Another story I have is when I was home alone with my sister and we were watching TV. It was winter and it was about 5:00 or so. Our internet started acting up in the middle of our show, so I went upstairs to mess with our router. My sister called for me cause she asked me a question, so I turned around to listen to her. Just as I was turning back around to go upstairs, I saw this figure kind of crouched down in the shadows in front of a bookshelf that was in our office room. My sister and I were the ONLY ones in our house at the time. The figure I saw looked like a women, but it wasn't human. I saw a demon in my house with my sister down there with me. It scared the living crap out of me. It still makes me paranoid and freaked out to this day.

I got woken up by an old man. My BF was sleeping next to me. I felt someone shake my shoulder roughly to wake me. I thought it was my BF. I woke up and rolled over to ask what was wrong. A strange old man I have never seen before was legit hovering over me. He didn't even look like he was standing or kneeling. He was just full over me. And he got right in my face looking pissed off and yelled "GET OUT!" then he disappeared instantly. I blinked confused, and woke up my BF and told him.

Years ago when i was around five my oldest sister and i were watching a movie in our parents room while she was on a date or something. We heard footsteps and a light switch when we got back from grabbing snacks, i start crying from getting scared my sister was too but she was the oldest she has to prefect the younger ones. She calls my mom, my mom calms me down the next day we find out it was our dog who made the footsteps cant remember for the light switch might’ve been a delayed click
Edit: i figured since were sharing stories I’ll share this one: one time when i was around 4-5 i shared a bunk bed with my sister (the middle child I’m the youngest of three girls) i was at the bottom for whatever reason i woke up and saw something in the window i climb of the latter of the bunk bed and see a bright kinda neon green thing in the sky i go tell me dad he comes to see it’s gone. He goes back to bed and i check again i see it once again. I get him again this time it stayed I’m not sure if my dad remembers cause he doesn’t remember super well

Once when I was eight, I had just come into the kitchen after a long bath and my mom looked very confused. When I asked what was up, she told me she JUST saw me in the kitchen and that I asked her if it was alright to go have a bath. I said I had just gotten out of the bath and that I was never out there. She knew from how confused I looked and scared, that I wasn't lying.
My Imidiate thoughts on the last story when she read "while looking at the ceiling was "Is he gonna pick up the baby then the ceiling will collapse?" Followed by "Or maybe there's a demon up there" like yo???

When i was a kid we have guests like 15-18 people and we are 6 family members including me. Some of us decided to sleep in backyard in the middle of night i woke up to a cat meowing i looked at the cat for few minutes she's watching me too after few minutes i saw in the sky two old couples wrinkles on face . Husband is laying on bed not able to get up and wife is on the couch sitting talking with him he asked his wife for a glass of water she stood up and give him again i hear cat sound but there is no cat not the couples in sky.. sometimes i feel like i it was a dream but my heart says its not
A few days ago I was sweeping my parent's room and talking to my sister who was on the stairs. Now, if you stand on the stairs you can see everything that goes on inside the room (except for the light switches.) I was lost in conversation as I got out of the room and I know, I just know that I switched off ALL the lights before getting out of the room but the second a stepped outside, there was a click behind me and my sister just stood there, wide-eyed, just staring at behind me and when I looked a light was on. And I am absolutely sure that the click was the light switch turning on. Weird things like this has been happening since we moved into this new house and it's really creeping me out.

Last night I was upstairs in my bedroom and no one was home but I heard some stuff fall downstairs so I grabbed a knife (our neighbourhood isn't that safe) and ran down but nothing had fallen and nothing was out of place. I know that I heard some pots and pans fall but there were none.
