I was looking for the UX6404, and it's out of stock everywhere. If there's not much of a price difference between it and the UX3404, the UX6404 is a great choice!

Macbook is a no match obviously but in terms of value for money, this seems great. I have macbook mid 2014 model with 16 GB RAM I am using but it seems dying like an old cow with belly up when I am using 4-5 instances of VS Code, 2-3 profiles of chrome with various resource hogging apps like lucid app, miro, excel apps etc (in browsers).

A major consideration for me is the software ecosystem. As pretty as Apple devices are, the apps that I need are all in Windows. If that's not a factor for you then both a great machines and you won't regret any of the two.
Chris this looks great, good review. And I agree with your comment it should have the RTX 4050 or RTX 4060. Why are they using last-gen GPU's on a new 2023 model?? Very odd. That display looks stunning and overall what a good set of features. Also needs a 99W battery so it would make it through a full day.

Is the i9 chipset model with the rtx 3050 worth getting over the none rtx 3050 model? Since it is an older gen gpu does it actually make much of a difference?
3050 does also support dlss which adds additional performance by around 10 to 20 fps at 1080p. Suggest looking at gaming tests on the cpu and gpu combo in this laptop as you'll see its not actually that bad.

Oh nice! I wish I got that model. Coil whine is normal, the buzz noise is normal to a degree. I hear it a lot when gaming especially with my RTX 4090 and RTX 4060 laptop.
I use excel for work, It's a nice, to have but I rarely used it. I rarely use it to its full potential. Perhaps this is because I haven't put in the effort to learn its functions and build muscle memory for using them efficiently. On the other hand, some people may find using a touchpad more comfortable for navigating Excel.
Hi Chris. Is it possible you can review this not so known brand "Ninkear" especially the laptop model A16. They offer good specs at low price (that the first I see it, it blew me away) but I can't tell the hardware part. And you're the only I know who likes to try unknown brands. Hopefully. 😅
That does look very good for 799 euros. Sadly due to all the money I was loosing buying up these odd brand laptops I've called it quite s buying stuff and only review laptops comes will send me review units of it. Also after reviewing them they are so hard to sell, nobody wants to pay even 500 for a unkown brand laptop that was used a week for a review. I basiclly have to almost give them away (almost). However, I will reach out to them and see if they can send me one.
@@Techtablets Yes, but with dlss 3 there is such a nuance - it really works well only in high resolution (4k), or you will get artifacts and image defects. 4k is not for 4050 Optimal video card this generation for laptop is 4080, because vram size. But If U not a "AAA-AA" gamer, u don't need any card! Enough internal AMD video =)

Hello! I own ASUS ZenBook 14X OLED UX3404VA-M9015W. Aida64 shows a RAM latency of 160 ms, which is inadequately high. I am looking for the same owners to confirm or refute a factory “bug” or defect, although this does not affect the operation of the laptop at all.
@@s-plus Might be, but it's just as and even faster in some cases than this Zenbook. All while being silent, cooler, better screen, better battery, better sound, better touchpad, better coop with my phone and tablet, and.. without throttling! And this is really just the base model M1... the newer ones and max are of course way faster. Run those benchmarks on battery and see what happens.. ;D
@@st33ldi9italwould still pick the Zenbook. I get a faster laptop than the m2, cheaper than the m2 with higher ram and storage. Better screen oled+120hz. Better for engineering. More software support. Windows face unlock. And a dedicated graphics card. Try running some games on your Mac, and see what happens ;D
@@Techtablets This Zenbook is really good in this budget, except the one with with a discrete GPU. I'm not paying more for that even if Im a gamer. Well we do hope that 14th gen is even better, 13th gen is a slight improvement of the 12th alder lake.
Sure 8GB vRAM is better for future proofing and the RTX 4000 series frame generation using Ai can really smooth out some modern titles at the cost of having the fake frames that don't look as good as the true rendered ones.

It's not a gaming laptop, the gpu for me is a downer becouse it could have been even a lower model and improve battery life

I think this is a little faster and better and with my Tab S8 Ultra it is good enough for work use. With the USB cable it's zero lag.
SuperDisplay is the best second display app by far. Probably the most popular as well. Not free though, but definitely worth it.

Bruh, the 3050 is soldered to the motherboard. It is a mobile variant of the graphics card not an external GPU or upgradeable GPU
Correct you can switch however better Intel iGPU and RTX 3050.

RTX 4050 or RTX 4060 option would have been better, I guess pricing and costs is why they went with the last Gen RTX 3060.
Could have been a bunch of left over stock too.

Performance this is a lot quicker and better GPU. 2GB more Vram will also help.

Big difference the Iris Xe graphics is very weak, the RTX 3050 while a low end GPU is still so much better than Iris Xe graphics.

Nope not at all, it's OLED so it has to be glossy for the contrast and deep blacks. If you want anti glare look at IPS screens.
