We all know a lot of content creators upload Apple products (almost everyday) to milk and generate a lot of views which in turn generates a lot of income for them. They prioritised two things:
- A high resolution main camera
- 2 zoom distances; 3x and 5x
This leaves no room for a 200mp periscope. However, the S24 Ultra has a 50mp periscope, which ain't bad either.
Have you seen massive periscope module is for 85 mm focal length equivalent with a 1/1,4" sensor?

I think low light video of X200 Pro is the most detailed (more detailed than iPhone). I just hope they'll fix the jitter with the updates.

Great comparison. And damn that vivo looks seriously impressive. If this is what the cameras are looking like already at release, I can't even imagine after updates, just amazing. Already making me want to sell the Oneplus 12 and the get the mini version when it goes global.

Samsung uses the worst camera hardware among all the Android flagships. S24 Ultra has already been smoked by Vivo x100 pro in cameras. Trust me bro,Samsung gives us nothing comparing to vivo or Xiaomi in camera department.

Hardware is old but software at where Samsung smoked all Chinese phones.
Even Apple now realised their mistakes and learned from greediness and now truly puts top notch hardware and sensor from iPhone 13. But Samsung seems to be don't care about these.
Vivo is the winner 🏆. Here's the reasons:
1- camera and zoom
2- Mic is better
3- details of pictures
4- price is half
5- battery charging speed.
6- ask Flossy,😂, Apple, Google, Samsung. Put the fkn charger in the box 😂.

2:19 at what fps were you recording at? It looks so bad, the video looks very choppy. My pixel 7 pro videos look smooth at 60fps even at night.

The iPhone 16Pro has some serious manufacturing issues with very low light. When at high ISO, there is some blue banding that ruins the image. I shoot astrophotography with phones on my channel. Since the iPhone 11. This is the worst iphone for very low light yet. Im on my second iPhone 16pro after returning my first one. Second one has the same issue. Many in my community have the same issue and are returning phones. You wont see it in your shots here, there is too much light pollution. Good review as always mate
Samsung makes more money giving to other companies sensors they produce. On the other hand companies for sure have made deal with Samsung not to produce the super wow smartphone like Vivo almost have done with ultra. Anyway from what I saw, Vivo X200 pro isn't an upgrade to ultra, at least not than much to justify it's price. Who wants the best photography experience right now depending the money it costs and wants also a very good phone overall, would not go wrong with X100 ultra. Nice job with this quick comparison...

Vivo will be my next phone 😍No question. I really like the colour science by Zeiss. I think they improved a lot in the video department. Not yet as good as Apple, but they could soon catch up. There's also a "log" recording mode and cinematic camera mode, that should be interesting to try out. Vivo is surely the best cameraphone when it comes to photos. So it seems to me.
I saw people saying that vivo jas an auto-frame feature that makes the frames drop at night.
I think it'll be useful to disable it for the future comparisons or to say that it's already been disabled
Vivo's audio is studio quality! Overall Vivo, Samsung and Apple in that order.

the daytime footage from vivo have problem with their focus, I think. Non stoping jump even when you are not moving. In the other hand, those night videos, even with drop frames and all, vivo capture the most detail on zoom lens, bo s24 and iPhone footage look too blurry.

Ultrawide on x200 have big issues with stabilisation or it's broken. Best sound but most wind noise. Wish vivo could lower that oversharpening. It looks otherwise much better in low light. Pause at 2:42. Looking good.

The low-light video looked by far the cleanest on Vivo, however, this weird, very heavy stuttering was worrying. I really hope they fix it before the actual release.

I really wonder why Vivo fell "in line" with Samsung/Apple by downsizing its sensor. The 1/0.95 sensor on the x 100 pro is a unique proposition and shows the results as well.
Finally a great microphone pick up for a Vivo phone, even the previous x100 ultra had a crap microphone 👏

Thanks, as always, Chris. I agree with your findings. Were I going to buy one of these right now, it would be the Vivo. Its mic blew the others away (s24's totally sucked), the still images looked better in most cases (barring those oversaturated reds, the skin-smoothing, and the lack of a super wide field of view). Apple's video will always be better than everyone else's, but I'm also taking into account features like Super Raw and full manual mode, the latter of which is a biggie and the #1 reason that my current phone (14 Pro Max) frustrates the hell out of me. So yeah, Vivo it is. Thanks again!
You’re welcome. I wish that UW was a bit wider and with some software updates like fixing the oversaturated reds and ultrawide EIS it will be one of the best there is. The zoom is impressive even better than my X100 Ultra.

Vivo portrait blur is not good. Look at 3:50 left side is more blurry than right side of the photo. Otherwise, it's better camera for sure.

I have the same question myself. I unfortunately left my x100 ultra at home🤦♂️ I’ll test it soon.
Video could still be better, noticeable frame drops, stabilisation not that good, however at night that larger sensor really helps!! It looks better, sharper, almost no noise. The iPhone tends to just crop in when using the 5x camera, definitely looking out for that, it's also surprisingly not that steady when zoomed it, Samsung will use its optical cameras but those colours are weired, blue and a weird dark purple, not the best.
2:46 Vivo absolutely butchered them.
(Edit) As a photographer and videographer I gotta say that Vivo butchered them both in all areas but especially in low light video detail. There is always post-production for removing some of the noise that Vivo produced but there isn't a method where you can add detail to Samsung and iPhone so i think Vivo definitely pulled ahead there.

The audio on the Vivo has really improved, definitely notice it. But the video has quite some issues , like what was this 2:20. Hopefully software updates sort that out

All videos: each has little weaknesses and strengths. This even changes from one to another. All can be corrected later. 😉
