YOU CAN TURN OFF small screen TOUCH response. One of the buttons on the right side of the top row on the keyboard. There is also a button to turn off the small screen display (it doesn't turn off the touch on the small screen, there is a separate button for that).
The main screen is wide enough for me to have two panes open like word documents, internet browser, or PDF program. I generally use the second screen for excel, note taking, and phone screen mirroring. I tend to have file explorer open on the 2nd screen when I'm not taking notes so that I can search for files without cycling through my workspace. I use a wireless keyboard and mouse most of the time, although I do occasionally have issues with moving the icon to the second screen while typing with the dedicated keyboard. I have an adjustable angle mount that aims the second screen towards me so that I don't have to look straight down at it. I work out of a home office, a dedicated office, and in the field. This laptop is versatile, but takes some getting used to and innovation to really reach its potential.
Googling around this laptop is like the ultimate middle finger to left handed folk.
I might buy this laptop for 3d printing
I think its pretty good basic laptop. Ive had it for a year also and the second screen is not very productive for me. I use it to play vids and music while I use the main screen for work. I love the display on the main screen because its wide enough for multiple windows and its touchscreen so its helpful at times. Also, Its AWESOME for gaming due to the beautiful screen and not the actual chipset. I use Geforce Now so the servers do all the heavy lifting. My only gripe with it is how the cursor flips from top screen to 2nd screen when you don't want it to because Windows basically treats is as a second screen. Otherwise its a gorgeous looking/feeling laptop and it does what its supposed to do well. If you want to use it as a graphics machine, I suggest getting a eGPU.
The form factor is so bizarre and the normally centered Win 11 taskbar now appearing so offset from the keyboard actually pains me to look at.... I get this is supposed to be some sort a productivity machine, but I couldn't function on this. I like the traditional workstation design of the ThinkPad P-series.
Oh yeah, I feel like they saw other people do the extra screen thing, and decided they had to as well without giving it a full think through.
I think the tablet like screen is so unnecessary, unless you are a graphic artist and needs to draw a lot.
I'm just pissed off Lenovo and Asus, the only two tech companies I boycott, are the only ones making this kind of thing. Of course, the Lenovo wouldn't be acceptable anyway because it's Intel
bigger "touch bar mistake" again :D
I'm sure it could be made to be useful, just not for me.
what the vuck
pretty much.
is the small screen compatible with metatrader platform?
