Couldn't submit a review to the lenovo website, so i'll put it here :D.. This laptop (for the price point) is awesome.. I bought it so I could learn through google certificates on the go.. It's not perfect, but it definitely gets the job done. I have one thing downloaded on it (runescape lol) and for $200, it runs is very well, whilst also running some google chrome tabs. I don't really use the touchscreen, but I won't complain about the random added feature when this thing is only $200.. For a laptop at that price, it exceeded my expectations. 10/10
Picked one for CAD229. Superb product. It is loaded for the price. I was worried about the display since it is a budget offering. Pleasantly surprised to see a very decent/reasonable display and impressive touch sensitivity. Super compact and super sturdy. The USB-C socket is capable of charging, data transfer and display port compatible. It has everything I need in a budget laptop. I would have loved to see backlit keyboard. That is my only complaint. I would have gladly paid a little more to have a backlit keyboard version. Solid Purchase.
@@juani2929 the sensitivity is different compared to my phone, works ok tho on the Linux i installed.... I just got this for the same price... out the box windows 11 uses 50gb storage and half the 8gb ram on idle.....installed garuda cinnamon linux and hoooolleeeee awesome, better than i expected.... only uses 20gb storage and 1.2gb ram on idle... so much smoother running and looking than windows and no microsoft account needed to use my new computer.... ITS FOSS BABY, MICROSOFT SUCKS....The only real complaint i have screen needs to be rotated manually and no backlit keyboard.... battery runs all day..... I might make a video just to show it off cause its just that cool and im pretty impressed with the overall performance of such low power and low cost device!
ironically my high school up to when i graduated last year only gave everyone very cheap chrome books you would often get a 100 dollar dell or if you were lucky a slightly faster hp that i think cost either 150 or 200 to buy at the time and unlike the dells which used barrel plugs the hp would use usb c charging thankfully we didn't have to buy the Chromebook outright like with some schools especially since they were so cheap i would've just sold it as soon as i could (they didn't even have a hard drive they all used emmc for storage lol)
Both models come with an upgradable SSD btw. I own both. Sadly if you want to upgrade the more expensive one you have to reinstall windows because there is only one slot which is taken by the 128gb SSD it comes with. BTW i love your vid.
My school uses these, every student is provided with one, but they ruined it all. The computer runs the wrong operating system, (windows 10 enterprise instead of windows 11 education edition) it takes ages and I mean Ages to start up because all of The bloatware like Lenovo vantage needs to start up, and don’t get me started on Microsoft teams, no matter what, that app will do everything in its power to be open 24/7.
as of right now I'm using this laptop and I must say it is wonderful but in case you like to be a gamer this is not a suitable laptop due to its goodish CPU and the ram a laptop in a similar casing i guess you could say for gaming is the ASUS TUFF F10 and above due to its 2050 GPU and a surprisingly good CPU at only around 700 to 1000 $ is surprisingly good price for a laptop able to run Hogwarts legacy at almost 50-60 fps hope this information helped someone out about getting the right laptop for educational purpose or gaming purpose 👍
I'm looking for an inexpensive laptop that can take a little bit of a beating like in a garage environment that doesn't need a ton of computing power and this one seems to fit the bill. Did you ever find out which model of stylus can fit inside of the laptop? Thanks in advance.
Has anyone tried dual-booting linux on this one yet? I put Win 11P and Mint 21.3 on an 11e Gen 6 after upgrading the SSD. Worked like a charm, once I disabled bitlocker.
On the worst case scenario you'd have a MediaTek network card inside, which requires you to have a distro with kernel 5.12 or higher. Otherwise you have an Intel one and don't have to worry about that. The rest should work out of the box. Dual booting with Windows 10 is a pain in the ***, tho, but it should work. I read somewhere about other people and they had good experiences. I'm getting one because of that hehe

I found the touch sensitivity horrible tbh

btw the little hole on the bottom is a drain hole in case liquid spilled over keyboard

I always uninstall Microsoft Teams first thing.
Love your videos! This is a decent little machine that isn't a Chromebook, so I'm happy to see kids getting this instead.

Get a ssd upgrade and it's perfect and super cheap. Great for school and old games like Baldur's Gate, Fallout but also some modern indie games.
I was actualy thinking of getting the 500e gen 3 verison of this as I have a 500e gen 2 and it works fine with 8gb ram 64gb storage
