If there is no peloton to chase, as in, no multiple team mates, why would any single rider chase down the best cyclist in the world just to waste his own energy for no chance to win? there are a lot of dynamics going on in cycling apart from pure strength.

Correct. In modern sport, nobody wins by these margins without some special help. Guy is making racing unwatchable. No way can one rider win GTs, Classics, TTs. Not sure why anyone would embrace this. Yeah folks, you can be aggressive when you know you’ve got the ultimate assistance. Nobody consistently can ride away from 180 pros like this.

others teams are really not capable with their support riders, only UAE team has done its objective, other teams, nah, they just make the numbers, but the leaders can do this race on their own, thats what offroad bike racing can do, no big teams seams, important only 1 man show.

I dont think so, not as long as it's the priority for Jonas, who is noticably smaller/lighter than Pogi, which always tips the scales in his favor the deeper the race goes. Jonas has the best team to help him on flat stages and the w/kg to slowly grind Tadej down over 3 weeks. Tadej is still the better rider of the two overall and I would much rather have him on my team than Jonas.
