I have a cold. Rehearsals start Monday. It’s Thursday. I have allergies or a cold or something. Been going on for like 2 weeks. I have to sing this. I got cast as a star to be. Right now I’m more of an alto 1 instead of a soprano 1 like I usually am. This isn’t going to be fun.
Literally, there is no context. This shit randomly happens in the middle of a big Act I number - no warning or anything. Then it's over, and we never hear from the character again. But it's okay, because this is BROADway! It doesn't have to make sense, it just has to be entertaining!
@@robertcoppela8930There's a little more context in this version, where it's clearly presented as a part of the show they're seeing. That's a bit harder to pull off on stage. Whatever the current opinion of Disney, they tend to stick pretty close to the show when they do these musicals.
Having the original Annie fullfill this role is such a beautiful move.
