Literally, there is no context. This shit randomly happens in the middle of a big Act I number - no warning or anything. Then it's over, and we never hear from the character again. But it's okay, because this is BROADway! It doesn't have to make sense, it just has to be entertaining!

​@@robertcoppela8930There's a little more context in this version, where it's clearly presented as a part of the show they're seeing. That's a bit harder to pull off on stage. Whatever the current opinion of Disney, they tend to stick pretty close to the show when they do these musicals.
