I was a metal/hard rock fan in the 80's ... the first concert I ever went to was the Scorpions Savage Amusement tour in 1988. Fun fact .... the Scorpions are one of the loudest bands to play live. I was third row just a little left of center ... I know how loud they are because I lost 5% of my hearing in my left ear after that concert ... I was 16 and it was FANTASTIC ....
Klause Meine is the singer he has an excellent one of a kind voice. Try Still loving you, Winds of Change, or Rock you like a hurricane. They have many more really good songs.
@ed yah I put it top on purpose, it’s underrated. I think Jay will like “The Zoo” more, Amber will like “Still Loving You” more, and “Rock You” is a happy medium for everyone.
Well the singer's name is *Klaus Meine* the band is from Germany so *Klaus* and crew had to learn English for a American release and tour. At the time of the tour some of the band members were still learning how to speak English. Here's some more *Scorpions'* tunes *:Winds Of Change, Still Loving You, Big City Nights, Rhythm Of Love and The Zoo.* Love ❤️ Peace ☮️ and Happiness 😃 Y'all !!
well... starting in the early 70s I think - most of Germany taught English starting in the 4th grade.. Queens English though. Many didn't have the confidence to use it in public. I lived over there for a hair over 3 years.
Oh man, this band was insanely popular in the 80s. Rock You Like A Hurricane is their theme and has been played at so many sporting events around the world.
The Scorpions were always my favorite rock sound. They come from a serious rock family tree from Michael Schenker and his brother Rudolf, UFO (check em out) and Uli Jon Roth to name a few. They're rock legends.

I love that you mentioned the solo as you often do. Several people have had that job in the Scorps but in 1979 they added a 21yr old phenom on guitar named Matthias Jabs and the quality of their records improved dramatically. I noticed not a single person mentioned his name and honestly, as a guitar player myself he is on my list of the most under appreciated rock guitarists ever. He is SO good!
He brother I agree with you 100% percent! I mentioned him on my comments! Scorps have been one of my favorite bands of all time, I never miss their shows when they tour Northern California.
You truly need to do "Winds of Change" by The Scorpions. It's about the Berlin Wall coming down. I was just out of high school when that happened....I saw it first hand, and this song captures the feeling of hope that swept the world that day. I cry everytime I hear it. You will love it guys....pay attention to the lyrics, they describe actual history in the making!
Actually, it wasn't about the wall coming down. It was about when they had the first big rock show in Moscow, the Moscow Music Peace Festival. It starts with him walking down the street in Moscow. It's his hope that glasnost was going to actually be a thing. The wall just happened to come down later in the year, totally out of the blue...lol.

Scorpions are rock and are from germany. They were really big in the 80's Jay, you may have heard their song 'Rock You Like A Hurricane' since it is played in a lot of sports stadiums and arenas, and you being a big sports fan.
Again, as a Boomer, I'm always amazed that people exist for whom the whole playlist of the 60's, 70's, and 80's aren't part of their essence. This was a very cool album when it came out back in 1982.
What I cannot believe is that today’s youth have been blinded by today’s music. They are not exposed to the greatest music ever! I grew up in the 70’s and I was not ignorant of the past greats like Chuck Berry, Little Richard and all the greats. I knew the history of rock. Today’s youth have NO CLUE about music history. They only know pop and rap shit. Yet when most of them listen to the old stuff they are blown away!
As someone who was born in 1989 and while I primarily listen to heavy metal and many of it’s sub genre’s, I also love 60’s, 70’s, 80’s rock n roll, classic rock and even some soul music as well. While I do agree there is a lot of music today that is trash and that is mostly under the pop and rap sub genre’s there is some modern or current music that I throughly enjoy but that is my opinion. I was surrounded by all sorts of music I might not like it all but I appreciate the history behind it especially when I started to learn to play both Guitar and Bass.

Scorpions are 🔥. I’m willing to bet you’ve heard ‘Rock You Like a Hurricane’. They play it in stadiums all over the world. And Jordan would love ‘The Zoo’. 🦂
Great Scorpions songs include: "Rock You Like a Hurricane," "Still Lovin' You," "Lovin' You Sunday Morning," "Coming Home," "Rhythm of Love," "Tease Me, Please Me," "Alien Nation," "Wind of Change," and "Send Me an Angel."
You started with their best song, in my opinion. And it’s not just their best song, it is the best song I have ever heard by any band, period. If I were a pro wrestler, this would be my entrance music. It starts with power, has great solos and great harmony leads and pretty good lyrics, as well. It has everything you want in a song.

"Blackout". "Winds of Change". Michael Schenker used to be the guitarist for Scorpions but went off and joined the band UFO, then went solo with Michael Schenker Group. Those groups are all in the hard rock genre. UFO did a song "Love to Love" that is one of the best rock ballads ever. Also give MSG's ballad "Desert Song" a listen.
Michael's brother Rudolph Schenker was the founding member and longest continuous member of the Scorpion's. Michael played from 1970 to 1973 then left for UFO. UFO poached him from the Scorpions who were their opening band. Returned in late 1978 and contributed in the studio to the Lovedrive album. Matthias Jabs had joined the band in his absence giving them a three guitarist lineup. He left again in 1979 during the tour. He was not part of the most successful years of the Scorpions. He has trashed his brother Rudolph and the Scorpions repeatedly for not giving him enough credit on the Lovedrive album.
I was backstage at a Scorpions gig in Southampton UK in the 80s, waiting to get an autograph, when we got to the front Klaus (the singer) looked at my then girlfriend and said, in German, to Rudy (the guitarist) "She has nice tits" and I'll never forget the look on his face when my girlfriend said to him, in perfect German, "Thanks, I like them too".
Wunderbar!! lol I remember a fan telling me one time that when he was backstage one time, Matthias kept leering at his girlfriend and it pissed him off. I thought that was funny and sounded just like Matthias. lol
@@49schrader And ? Don’t come and make ludicrous false statements without backing such tosh up. It sold 14 million copies worldwide, "Wind of Change" is one of the best-selling singles of all time. It holds the record for the best-selling single by a German artist and by some distance was their biggest single Sheesh
Scorpions are definitely one of my all-time favorite bands. I saw them a couple of years ago in concert and they STILL give an amazing show! Have a few good suggestions for ya'll from the Scorpions - Rock you like a Hurricane, Still Loving you, Big City Nights, Holiday, Blackout, Rhythm of Love, The Zoo, Can't Live without You, Believe In Love, Wind of Change, and Send me an Angel. All are favorites, Bangers, and love songs. Just all around good music. Hope to see a reaction or two! Love you guys! Keep rockin'
If you want to try an older Scorpions song, try the song Holiday. It has elements that you will both love and it was released in 1979. Another good one from 1979 is called Is There Anybody There. It has a Reggae flavor .
Scorpions are a great band for you guys because they have a lot of hard rocking metal tunes and a lot of slow beautiful ballads as well. Sails of Charon, Animal Magnetism, Under the Same Sun, The Zoo, Still Loving You... all are great!
Im from Vienna, Austria and we saw the Scorpions in concert there in 1979. So I‘ve been a huge Scorpions fan for decades. And yes, they’re from Germany, Austria‘s neighbor. Klaus‘ voice is so awesome & timeless. There’s truly no one like the Scorpions!! Rock on!! 🤟🏻🎸🔥✌🏼💋👄💀🦂🦂🦂✌🏼
Most in the US are unaware that the Scorpions actually began in the early 70's. Their original guitarist Uli John Roth is otherworldly!! Check " Speedys Coming"" circa 74!!!
Don't look now, Rob & Amber, but y'all just hit 200 posted videos on this channel. (I know this doesn't take into account all the ones that were taken down, but still... CONGRATULATIONS! Here's to the next 2000! I don't normally fish for likes, but LIKE if you are in the RSR family for good!
greatest power ballad band in the world and Klaus Mein's voice is one of the greatest ever, and the greatest German rock band ever. Any song you check out is amazing they been around since 1972 and it was created by the Schenker bros and Klaus Mein on this song it was Rudolph Schenker and Mattias Jabs on guitars and solos
Commercial successful in the US, because they are singing in English and have of course a few very good songs. But it doesn't mean that they are the best German rock band, maybe for your opinion and maybe in USA. The question is, what kind of rock music there is a difference between the styles. The Scorpions are more powerful and more hard rock, but we have a lot more successful bands. Die Ärzte, Die Toten Hosen, Beatsteaks, Sportfreunde Stiller, Madsen, Jennifer Rostock, Revolverheld, Ton Steine Scherben, Pur, Torfrock, Puhdys, Karat, Silly, City, Bosse. This are all good German rock bands, the difference is, they don't want to sing in English, the have the self-confidence to create music in their own language and sorry don't care about the USA, like Rammstein.
Too many requests for the Scorpions post Uli Roth, Michael Schenker era. Their songs were not radio-friendly but anything from "In Trance" or try "We'll burn the Sky" which was co-written by Monika Danneman. She was Jimi Hendrix' Girlfriend who dated Uli Roth.
"Rock You Like a Hurricane" is the U of Miami's song they play for al their major sports teams. Even if you hate the Miami Hurricanes, you cannot help but love that song, and the power it represents.
Klaus had a great voice, but the GOAT is Ronnie James Dio. You reacted to a couple songs, but not songs that really show his talent. Check out RAINBOW 'Mistreated' LIVE in Munich 1977!! It's around a 10 minute video, but SO worth it, it also has one of the biggest inspiration guitarists ever, Ritchie Blackmore with an outstanding solo! Live is the way to enjoy Ronnies voice, he's beyond words and has great stage presence and loves to improvise with his voice. Still waiting!!!
Not a bad song, but written by, and FOR Coverdale. 'Stargazer' is Ronnie's magnum opus while in Rainbow. just my .02. Your mileage may vary. Ronnie is my favorite vocalist, followed by Steve Perry.
And don't forget about the songs that started it all for QR.....from their 1983 self recorded and produced 4 song EP.... QUEEN OF THE REICH and THE LADY WORE BLACK!!!
Blackout, The Zoo, Can't Live Without You, Rock You Like A Hurricane, Still Loving You and so many more...They were a big staple of the late 70's, 80's metal scene with endless bangers.
This song was from their Blackout album. The guy with the forks in his eyes is Rudolph Schenker. He is one of the founding members and the guitarist. There's an airbrushed version of him on the cover with those same forks and bandages on his head. This is the album that started to break them in the United States. They are a German band. Their next album, Love at First Sting, is the album that really broke them into the stratosphere. They still tour today. And they actually started in the late '60s. Their stage show is very high energy.
And if they really want to get blown away, they should check out Rudolf's brother Michael, who played guitar with UFO, particularly the songs "Rock Bottom", "Doctor Doctor", and "Lights Out". Jay and Amber should keep in mind that when they recorded his first album with them, he was only 17 years old.
The Scorpions... Founded in 1965 (yes, you read that right); rose to fame in the late 1970s; commercially highly successful until way into the 1990s; and they are still going and AFAIK currently working on another studio album. Woot!
Had the Privelage of seeing Scorpions three times in concert. One of only a few bands, out of the 50 or so bands i have seen, that rock live just as well, sometimes better , l Love all their stuff.
Rock you like a hurricane, Winds of change, Send me an angel, The Zoo, Still loving you, Rhythm of love. All good songs; oh and its Def Leppard who sings Love Bites (Joe Elliot is their singer)
1 of the best sounding live bands I've ever seen! Back in the day i saw them on this album tour, their "blackout" tour. Greatgreat great band.. they sound just like this live! Love them.👍💖
Rob Squad I love your comments! You hit it on the nose! I felt 100% the same way back in 1982 or so, when I first heard this song! Blew me away, and I had to buy the album, and next and next! Our Family, my Kids, their cousins, nephews, Uncles have gone to about 6 to 8 concerts since the 80s, we never missed them when they came to NorCal! Some who never listened to rock, became rock fans of the Scorpions!

The live version of U.F.O. “Love to Love” should be a must reaction for the Rob Squad
Blackout is a banger!
@@keefmack Strangers In The Night is one of the best live albums ever made!

If Phil Mogg hadn't punched Schenker UFO could and should have been one of the biggest rock bands on the planet.
Rock you like a Hurricane…great rock group! from Germany…another great MTV video
Saw these guys twice back in the 80's...amazing concerts with all the energy they had
Love it!
Wunderbar!! lol I remember a fan telling me one time that when he was backstage one time, Matthias kept leering at his girlfriend and it pissed him off. I thought that was funny and sounded just like Matthias. lol
Epic!
Next Scorpion song “Rock You Like A Hurricane “ ⭐️⭐️ 80’s Rock forever!!❤️❤️❤️
German band with a great list of songs and a stellar lead singer. Winds of Change was their biggest hit. Be warned it’s a ballad but so special
@@49schrader it was their most successful song, most critically acclaimed.
@@49schrader
And ?
Don’t come and make ludicrous false statements without backing such tosh up.
It sold 14 million copies worldwide, "Wind of Change" is one of the best-selling singles of all time. It holds the record for the best-selling single by a German artist and by some distance was their biggest single
Sheesh
Best concert I ever seen, they put one hell of a show on.
The Scorpions - Another Piece of Meat . Brilliant track !
Scorpions also had not only great Rockers they were a very powerful Rock Ballad band I doubt any band has as many great love ballads as they do
Scorpions are definitely one of my all-time favorite bands.
Listened to a few 80's band reactions just now. This man feels the guitar the same way I do. Absolutely love it!
The voice of my people. 🙏🏻
Scorpions have been around a Hot Minute good tunes can’t go wrong with anything from them .
Scorpions " RHYTHM OF LOVE" & "BIG CITY NIGHTS" are some of their best ones !!! 😎
Another deep one! "Blackout" "Winds of Change"
Great band! Everything from 1972 to 1990 is fire!
Scorpions are a great band for you guys because they have a lot of hard rocking metal tunes and a lot of slow beautiful ballads as well. Sails of Charon, Animal Magnetism, Under the Same Sun, The Zoo, Still Loving You... all are great!
Wind of Change by Scorpions is another great song
I saw them several times during their prime. My favorite by them is Holiday. Klaus is one of my favorite vocalists...awesome!
Mark D
I had forgotten about Holiday! OMYHEART! IKR? How? Thanks for the reminder!
More great Scorpions “The Zoo”, “China White”, “Another Piece of Meat”, “Holiday”, “Make It Real”
China White ,Yeah!!!
Nice list!
Make it real is a great song
Seen Scorpions twice in the 80’s in their prime! Blackout and Animal Magnetism tours, they Rawked Big Time!.. one of my Top 5 bands!
Really hoping for "Female Fridays" you will choose to react to "Love Bites" by Halestorm. THANKS Y'ALL!
Love EVERYTHING Halestorm does!
But I'm hoping they dive into Angelina Jordan!
@@robertwarfield4791 , agreed. Then we can lead them into some Taylor Momsen, then In This Moment, and finally Jinjer!
@@johnsparks8083 Halestorm and The Pretty Reckless led me into In This Moment as well as Stitched Up Heart, New Years Day, and Devilskin.
Oh...imagine their reaction to Jinjer!!!
@@robertwarfield4791 Do you think they're ready for Jinjer? LOL
Most in the US are unaware that the Scorpions actually began in the early 70's. Their original guitarist Uli John Roth is otherworldly!! Check
" Speedys Coming"" circa 74!!!
Are you familiar with “lonesome crow” ? It’s one of their earliest recordings and is very prog rock especially for the time period.
@@gradydillingham9869 Yes, with a very young Michael Schenker.
Scorpions - Wind of Change - The Zoo - Rock you like a Hurricane - Big City Nights - Still Loving you
The fact I got to grow up in the 70’s 80’s when things like this were coming out on a weekly basis. Fuck yeah !
Perfect song to start with!!! Whoop Whoop!!!!
Don't look now, Rob & Amber, but y'all just hit 200 posted videos on this channel. (I know this doesn't take into account all the ones that were taken down, but still... CONGRATULATIONS! Here's to the next 2000! I don't normally fish for likes, but LIKE if you are in the RSR family for good!
wait.. I just found the channel this week.. what did they have taken down? *side eyes youtube*
@@HealthyDisrespectforAuthority Born to Run, Black Betty, and just today, Before He Cheats. It may only be temporary, but... (shrugs)

I've seen them all!❤
Don't ever confuse Def Leppard for Led Zeppelin. You'll get your ass kicked.
Other than that, always a pleasure you two. 😊
Please Meatloaf-Paradise By The Dashboard Lights… Live….. Please Please Please he is the Rock Opera God ….
YES!!!! This song is PHENOMENAL!!!
@@joeymcbrayer yes sir it is and I have been in love with Meatloaf since the 70’s
That solo is one of my faves
I frickin love this song......been listening to it for years, and it never gets old to me 💜🎶
greatest power ballad band in the world and Klaus Mein's voice is one of the greatest ever, and the greatest German rock band ever.
W.A.S.P. "Blinded in Texas" and for Amber, Slaughter "Fly to the Angels".
Hell yeah... Everything scorpions did was kick ass
Gotta check out their song “wind of change”
Speaking of Canadian bands, also try Triumph: "Fight The Good Fight". Just great!...
this group is now 55yrs old and still tours... lead singer still sounds great at 71...
Just got chills from his voice in my legs. That's a new one for me!
The Scorpions are the bomb. They’re a German band that expanded their audience by singing in English.
Please react to QueensRyche Take Hold of the Flame live in Tokyo 1984!
No joke, best live vocals you we here, except for maybe Chris Cornell (RIP)
Been suggesting this for months. I also think that Amber would love Silent Lucidity. Geoff Tate is my favorite singer ever!
You can't do Queensryche without doing their masterpiece "Operation Mindcrime" full album.
Absolutely. To what all three of you commented! The best live vocal performance you'll ever see!
And don't forget about the songs that started it all for QR.....from their 1983 self recorded and produced 4 song EP....
QUEEN OF THE REICH and THE LADY WORE BLACK!!!
Scorpions- we called it hair metal back in the day. I’m 64
Blackout, The Zoo, Can't Live Without You, Rock You Like A Hurricane, Still Loving You and so many more...They were a big staple of the late 70's, 80's metal scene with endless bangers.
rhtym of love
Klaus Meine is the lead singer of the scorps.
You want to get blown away by a Band and a song
Review. Band: Steelheart Song: I'll never let you go.
Definitely!
"Rock You Like a Hurricane" "Big City Nights" "The Sails of Charon" "Wind of Change"
I have loved Scorpion for years. Most listen to Rock you like a hurricane and still lovin you.😊
As an Austrian blood line, I can't help but love my Scoprions!
"Still Loving You" is one of their best songs, but if you want a deeper cut, try one of their first hits, "He's a Woman, She's a Man".
Loved it!!! Best live rock band ever. Saw them twice. Scorpians Rock!!!
1 of the best sounding live bands I've ever seen! Back in the day i saw them on this album tour, their "blackout" tour. Greatgreat great band.. they sound just like this live! Love them.👍💖
One of my favorite Scorpion songs that seems to get overlooked alot- "As Soon as the Good Times Roll"...killer jam
I’m so glad you loved Scorpions. They’re awesome.
Loved EVERY song this band recorded.
