A friend had their live album Tokyo Tapes. Ive seen them live many times. They never fail to put on a great show. Even now in their 70’s, they rock hard. They recently finished a North American tour. Scorpions! One of my all time favorite bands. Great live band. Check out I Can't Get Enough (live). It's a definite rocker that shows the energy that these guys brought every single night. During their prime. A little history. Scorpions are a German band. They formed in 1965 and just released their latest album this year. My personal favorite era of the band is from 1972 through 1990. Their music ranges from psychedelic to metal. With a little bules and even reggae sprinkled in. Love Scorpions! Please keep 'em coming?
🤘😎🤘 Sweet Reactions. First time I seen Scorpions in concert was 1988. I was 16 and they were on The Monsters of Rock tour with Kingdom Come, Dokken, Metallica and Van Halen. They Kicked Butt! When their set was done, there was a 30 minute wait for Van Halen to set up, and a food fight broke out in Mile High Stadium. Over 57,000 people throwing foods and drinks at each other. Miss the '80s. 😁
This record 'Savage amusement' in 1988 was a truly underrated album by the Scorpions... this single, 'Passion rules the game'... 'Believe in love'... "Don't stop at the top"... 'Media overkill' were incredible songs. Although the record went platinum, they had hoped it would be as big as Def Leppard's 'Hysteria' or Guns N' Roses' 'Appetite for destruction'... and it just wasn't. But the Scorpions had a historic tour for that record, playing the USSR for the first time... they were Germans, and 50 years before that, they said their grandparents' generation came w/ tanks and slaughtered millions of Russians... The Scorpions came w/ guitars and won the Russian fans over, proving the healing power of music between people.
THIS BAND BRINGS BACK MEMORIES!! 1988 SUMMER, THE ORANGE BOWL MIAMI FLORIDA!!! I WAS RIGHT AROUND JORDAN'S AGE!! SCORPIONS WERE A PART OF THE "MONSTERS OF ROCK" TOUR WHICH INCLUDED METALLICA, VAN HALEN, DOKKEN AND KINGDOM COME, ALONG WITH THE SCORPIONS!!! ALL EXCELLENT BANDS!! A HUGE THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPED DURING THE DOKKEN SET, BUT THEY KEPT ON PLAYING!! IT WAS THE SAMMY HAGAR VERSION OF VAN HALEN BUT STILL EXCELLENT!!! SCORPIONS WERE TOP NOTCH!! THOSE WERE THE DAYS MAN!!
Check out by the Scorpions (their live performances are especially good): "Loving You Sunday Morning" "Holiday" "The Zoo" "Rock You Like a Hurricane" "I'm Leaving You" "Big City Nights" "As Soon as the Good Times Roll" "Don't Stop at the Top" "Passion Rules the Game" "Media Overkill"
Just drove to T-town and saw them at the BOK recently, Klaus at 74, still has the vocals, Rudolph and Mathias still rocking the guitars. Band was started in 1965, I first heard them in the '80's, still a favorite and still going.
You have listened to the Winds of Change and Still Loving You. You still have so much to hear from them! Rock you Like a Hurricane No One Like you The Zoo Big City Nights All are bangers!
All right my babies.... The Scorpions are STILL out there ‼️ Every time I hear this band, it takes me back to 1988 The Monsters of Rock tour at Candlestick Park San Francisco, California, USA🌉🌁🌁 This band has always been fire 🔥‼️💯😎👍🏼
Singer is Klaus Meine. I believe you guys have reacted to Rock You Like a Hurricane, Still Loving You and No One Like You previously. Scorpions are a German band that date all the way back to 1965. Founded by rhythm guitarist Rudolf "Rudy" Schenker. Rudy's younger brother Michael was the lead guitarist for the band for 1972 Lonesome Crow and 1974 Fly to the Rainbow until he departed to join the band UFO. He did return to the Scorpions for 1 more album in 1979 Lovedrive. During the intermediate period, the lead guitarist was Uli Jon Roth heavily influenced by Hendrix and also classical. His playing heavily influenced the sound of the band during his tenure. After Lovedrive in 1979 Michael was again replaced with Matthias Jabs, who remains with band to date. Scorpions achieved their first taste of international success in 1980 with Animal Magnetism, but had a bigger breakthru in the US in 1982 with Blackout. Then had major success with 1984 with the acclaimed Love At First Sting followed by a live album, World Wide Live, in 1985 from that tour. This album is a good way for a new listener to experience the band. The Scorpions fan base is very devoted and the band is very devoted to them in return by constantly touring the world and putting on incredible, high energy shows. Singer Klaus Meine had a scare prior to recording the Blackout album when he had have surgery to remove nodes and scar tissue from his vocal cords. It wasn't clear how long it would take for him to recover or if his voice would ever return to its previous form or even be able to sing again at all. Klaus worked extremely hard to restore his voice and actually made it back better than ever. Don Dokken had recorded the vocals for Blackout in Klaus absence but luckily he was able to recover in time and re-record the vocals for the "Dynamite" result we all now know. Francis Bucholz was the bassist and Herman Rarebell on drums during the 70s-90s, James Kottak former White Lion replaced on drums followed later by Mikkey Dee previously with Motorhead. Bucholz was replaced on bass by Ralph Rieckermann in the 90s and then by Paweł Mąciwoda in 2004 to present. One of the Scorpions most widely known songs world over is the hit Wind of Change from 1990's Crazy World, an anthem symbolic of the political climate and changes in Eastern Europe during the late 80s/early 90s culminating in the fall of the Berlin wall. It remains as one of the best-selling singles in the world with over 14 million copies. Send Me an Angel was another big single as well. February 2022 saw the release of the band's 19th studio album Rock Believer. Scorpions are estimated to have sold over 100 million records around the world, making them one of the best-selling hard rock and heavy metal bands ever. Great band, great reaction!
This band is one of my personal favorites and has one deep catalog if you ever truly dive into it fully. Some of the highlights for me are "Under the Same Sun", "Raised On Rock", "Send Me An Angel", "You And I" and definitely "Rock You Like A Hurricane" because it literally will rock you like a hurricane especially with the opening riff and bass together. Will become one of your new top songs J!
You know they've been out since 1965 when I was 3 years old they're all in their 70s and something that is consistent they've done Decades of making really good songs Never mellowed with age and they always look like they're having a blast and a lot of fun on stage
Try some of the earlier Scorpions from the 1970s, with the virtuoso guitar of Uli Jon Roth. "We'll Burn the Sky", "Hell Cat", and "Speedy's Coming" are good places to start.
Man this was big when it came out. Takes me back to Germany and jammin to this in the barracks or at a local favorite hang out which was a small bar where a lot of locals and soldiers went. Good times
fantastic group so many songs which were amazing also when you dig around scorpions catalogue they did a load of covers too which were well worth a look
Germany bands of the 80s had such a gift creating songs you liked instantly and could sing immediately, Scorpions, Accept, Dokken, Warlock, Helloween, Running wild Other great Scorpions songs : Rock you like a hurricane, Coming home, Passion rules the game, Blackout, When the smoke is going down, Holiday, the Zoo, Can't live without you, Bad boys running wild, Don't stop at the top, Walking on the edge, tease me please me

I'm so happy to be able to see the Scorpions and Great White at the Spectrum before it was torned down in Philly in the 90's. What a combo and concert...... Great band
THANK YOU guys for reacting to this! The Scorpions are my FAVORITE 80's band and I have so many good memories involving their music, including getting to see them in concert. This band is a huge part of the soundtrack of my life. ❤🤘 Much love from Toppenish, WA State
You probably will remember them from one of their ballads like "Still loving you" or "Winds of change", or their cover of Queen's "Love of my life". Other nice ones: "Big city night", "Send me an angel", and "Under the same sun".
Love how you have changed my life as I follow your transformation. I have tried to have the same open mind about Rap, since I know that's all you knew and how much you love this. Keep a Learnin and I'll keep a Smiling 😃
As a lead singer, Klaus Meine of the Scorpions was not a typical frontman - he was short (5' 4") w/ an outsized voice, and I can speculate in the 70's, record companies saw the Scorpions and wondered how they were gonna sell a short guy in a rock band to audiences. In those days, lead singers were tall and charismatic, like Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin, Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones... or guitar heroes like Neil Young, Eric Clapton... But Klaus and Ronnie James Dio (Rainbow/ Black Sabbath/ Dio) proved that short singers could captivate audiences w/ their vocals and their stage presence. Klaus could truly bring in the women to the Scorpions' music w/ the ballads he sang, like "Still loving you"... 'Holiday'... 'When the smoke is going down'... 'Wind of change'... 'Send me an angel'... 'Woman'... 🔥🔥🤘🤘 In fact, he inspired another German band Accept and their original pint-sized vocalist Udo Dirkschneider to break big in the 80's... When Accept decided to replace Udo w/ a typical singer in 1989, their popularity crashed. Thankfully, Udo was able to forge a career w/ his band U.D.O. and Accept found renewed success in 2008 w/ vocalist Mark Tornillo.
I remember as a teen back in the 80s taking my girlfriend to see the Scorpions, Kings X opened for them, thats another band you need to check out. But man that was an AMAZING show.
The zoo they have atleast 20 to 30 atleast probably more hits but I can say I like over 50 scorpions songs they will get in rock n roll hall of Fame !! clear legends
The Scorpions were originally from Hannover, West Germany... started as a 'beat rock' combo in the 60's by Rudolf Schenker (guitar) around 1965. He sang lead originally, but he became a fan of another local singer Klaus Meine... Rudolf and Klaus became very close friends in separate bands and Rudolf even hooked up Klaus' band Mushrooms w/ his 14-year old brother Michael Schenker, who was a much better lead guitarist. By 1970, music was changing... Jimi Hendrix was the big guitar hero... and after Klaus' band broke up, both Klaus Meine (vocals) and Michael Schenker (lead guitar) joined Rudolf Schenker's band Scorpions and wrote English songs in the vein of 60's "space rock". Securing a record contract from a talent show in 1972, Scorpions recorded their 1st album 'Lonesome crow', which was very different from what they are now... It got them noticed in Europe, and they opened for British rockers U.F.O. in 1973... Michael Schenker left the Scorpions and joined U.F.O. and would record some of their biggest records... songs like 'Lights out'... 'Doctor doctor'... 'Rock bottom'... 'Try me' 🔥🔥 Rather than quit, Klaus Meine (vocals) and Rudolf Schenker (guitar) decided to form a new band w/ Ulrich Roth (now Uli Jon Roth, lead guitar) and Francis Buccholz (bass) and used the Scorpions name. Despite using a few drummers, the Scorpions spent the 70's developing their sound and releasing a string of exceptional rock records - 'Fly to the rainbow' (1974)... 'In trance' (1975)... 'Virgin Killer' (1976), but were only able to tour Europe. Herman Rarebell (drums) joined in 1977 and recorded 'Taken by force', which went gold in Japan. However, just after a sold-out Japan tour and a live album 'Tokyo Tapes' in 1978, Ulrich Roth quit the Scorpions... Seeking a replacement, Michael Schenker came back to the band after falling out w/ U.F.O. and helped co-write their next album 'Lovedrive', but he left again cos he didn't enjoy playing Ulrich Roth's Scorpions songs... Matthias Jabs (lead guitar) joined in 1979 and became a permanent member til today. With a new US record contract and an American management, Scorpions released 'Lovedrive' in 1979 and toured the US for the first time... With years of touring already behind them, the Scorpions became an instant success and 'Lovedrive' became their first gold-selling record. Their next album 'Animal magnetizm' (1980) shifted their sound to more American 'arena rock' and it became their first platinum record. However, while recording the next album in 1981, Klaus Meine developed vocal issues... a doctor's visit revealed that he had polyps on his vocal chords that needed to be removed; Klaus faced the possibility that he may not be able to sing again. After the surgery, months went by w/ Klaus unable to talk, and he told the band to move on w/ a new singer... but Rudolf Schenker was firm - the band would not carry on without him. They wrote a new album and waited until Klaus finally got his voice back. Thankfully, Klaus Meine was back on the mic & sounding better than ever on their 1982 album 'Blackout' and became another platinum success. The Scorpions also played the Us Festival in 1983 and were a massive success on the bill. They scored their biggest album 'Love at first sting' (1984) w/ huge hits like 'Rock you like a hurricane' ... "Still loving you" ... 'Big city nights'... "I'm leaving you"... 🤘🤘🔥🔥 After an extensive tour, the Scorpions took a break... their next album 'Savage Amusement' took a year to complete and was a platinum hit, but did not have the multi-platinum successes as Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Guns N' Roses, or Aerosmith that year... But their persistence got them touring the USSR for the first time... In 1989, they played the Moscow Peace Festival w/ the megastars of rock that year - Bon Jovi, Skid Row, Ozzy Osbourne, Cinderella, Motley Crue... In 1990, Klaus wrote the ballad 'Wind of change' about their experience playing Russia and sensing the change coming to Europe... it became a huge hit from their 1990 album 'Crazy World', just as East & West Germany were reunited as 1 country after 40+ years of separation. Unfortunately, the Scorpions next album 'Face the heat' (1993) face the changing rock scene that was catering to grunge and alternative rock of the 90's... they saw their album sales and concert attendance fall, as Ralph Rieckerman (bass) replaced Francis Buccholz, and Herman Rarebell (drums) left the band in 1995. James Kottak (drums) joined the band in 1997, but their albums 'Pure instinct' (1996) and 'Eye II Eye' (1999) failed to sell commercially... In 2000, the Scorpions re-recorded some of their classics w/ a classical orchestra and released it as the 'Moment of glory' record. Determined to return to rocking, Pawel Maciwoda (bass) joined the Scorpions in 2004 for the album 'Unbreakable'... The Scorpions' record sales and concert demand got better w/ the 'Humanity Hour 1' album in 2007 and then 'Sting of the tail' (2010) ... Scorpions wanted to end their career on a high note, but by 2014, their career seemed to be getting bigger... So they folded and recorded 'Return to forever' in 2015. Unfortunately, drummer James Kottak had developed alcohol issues and parted ways in 2016... Motorhead drummer Mikkey Dee joined the band and their latest album 'Rock believer' was a success in 2022.
You would absolutely love 'When Passion Rules The Game' and 'Big City Nights '. Rockin vibes. Ballads to check out are ' Send me an Angel', 'Believe in Love' and 'Wind of Change'. The latter being about bringing peace to the world. One of my favorites.

Love that amber caught that double snare hit in the chorus!!! ✊🔥🤘
I saw that concert at the Capitol Center in Maryland. Van Halen had to stop the show for a while because we started a big fire.
I saw this tour too, the Monsters of Rock tour was Awesome, but I got there late and missed seeing Kingdom Come, and I was very disappointed!
@@miconis123 LOL... NICE!.🤘😎
@@georgewallerlll496 They were pretty good, live. Got some great applauds.
Monsters of Rock was great. Saw that tour at Alpine Valley. Great memories.
Scorpions has an extremely underrated song titled "Arizona" it's amazing.
I love this Song!🥰🎼
Yes please cover the song Arizona...great rocker.
Now they side with Ukrainian Nazis
@@ericthomas917 p!$$ off, Russian nazi
Best album of Scorpions by far.
Congratulations on your 1700th reaction. This is one of my absolute favorite songs by the Scorpions. I love this band so much.
More scorpions so many many great songs one of metal's legendary bands
That Monsters tour had it all. Only problem was the time between acts.
"Rock You Like a Hurricane" is one of their harder ones and one of my favs. Great band. Thanx so much, Take care, have an amazing week, Peace

Arizona is a great song ... very rarely played but the song rips ...
The Scorpions albums are great, but their live shows are just incredible. I've seen them several times throughout the 80's and 90's
Scorpions is my favorite band from the 80s especially their concerts!
Try some of the earlier Scorpions from the 1970s, with the virtuoso guitar of Uli Jon Roth. "We'll Burn the Sky", "Hell Cat", and "Speedy's Coming" are good places to start.
100%
Agree: I also like "Sails of Charon." Roth is on a different level.
Such a massive and legendary rock band. The band that converted me to metal from punk in the 80s. Try Blackout, Dynamite, Love at first sting
Man this was big when it came out. Takes me back to Germany and jammin to this in the barracks or at a local favorite hang out which was a small bar where a lot of locals and soldiers went. Good times
Lookup scorpions hit between the eyes. Incredible singing and guitar
One of my favorite scorpion song... 😍😍
fantastic group so many songs which were amazing also when you dig around scorpions catalogue they did a load of covers too which were well worth a look
I forgot how this song rocked back in the day, car radio up full blast and the windows down.. when I didn’t have a worry in the world. I miss the 80’s
Germany bands of the 80s had such a gift creating songs you liked instantly and could sing immediately, Scorpions, Accept, Dokken, Warlock, Helloween, Running wild
Other great Scorpions songs : Rock you like a hurricane, Coming home, Passion rules the game, Blackout, When the smoke is going down, Holiday, the Zoo, Can't live without you, Bad boys running wild, Don't stop at the top, Walking on the edge, tease me please me
Love me some Scorpions. Great song. You should check out MSG (McAuley Schenker Group) aka (Michael Schenker Group) Michael was in Scorpions with his brother Rudolf Schenker who formed the Scorpions. Rudolf is the guitarist. Anyway, Good songs from MSG are Anytime, Gimme Your Love and When I’m Gone. 🎶🎸🎶
Klaus Meine vocals Francis Bucholtz bass Herman Rare bell drums Rudy Schenker rhythm guitar and Matthias Jabs lead guitar. They're from Germany and The whole Love at first sting album is great along with the song The Zoo.
Wife here..These guys are soooo Amazing!!..And OG's of Hair Metal..My Husband's Favorite Rock Band!!..That Tone is soooo Cool!!🥰
Anything from the Blackout and Love at first Sting album's would be a great reaction video, but the Scorpions have many great songs!

Mad respect!! Grew up on 80s rock!!
Klaus = helluva singer
Thanks for covering the Scorpions; love them and by the way, love that Hank Hill Shirt.
This album is one of if not their greatest
I'm so happy to be able to see the Scorpions and Great White at the Spectrum before it was torned down in Philly in the 90's. What a combo and concert......
Great band
This was a song I dedicated to someone I used to date. His song to me was Lovedrive by the Scorpions.
THANK YOU guys for reacting to this! The Scorpions are my FAVORITE 80's band and I have so many good memories involving their music, including getting to see them in concert. This band is a huge part of the soundtrack of my life. ❤🤘 Much love from Toppenish, WA State
the scorps definitley rocked them ballads!
'Woman'... 🔥🔥🤘🤘
In fact, he inspired another German band Accept and their original pint-sized vocalist Udo Dirkschneider to break big in the 80's... When Accept decided to replace Udo w/ a typical singer in 1989, their popularity crashed. Thankfully, Udo was able to forge a career w/ his band U.D.O. and Accept found renewed success in 2008 w/ vocalist Mark Tornillo.
Those drumbeats are the heartbeat of mybsoul.
I remember as a teen back in the 80s taking my girlfriend to see the Scorpions, Kings X opened for them, thats another band you need to check out. But man that was an AMAZING show.
Although I love 80s Scorpions, their 2007 album Humanity Hour 1 remains one of my favorites, so many great songs. The Future Never Dies is my favorite
You should definitely get back to these guys.
The zoo they have atleast 20 to 30 atleast probably more hits but I can say I like over 50 scorpions songs they will get in rock n roll hall of Fame !! clear legends
About time we get into some more scorpions it was the first heavy metal band I really enjoyed
This was one of their later songs that was a transition from the older sound plus it was also a transition in the rock bands at that time.
They are German. Lead singer is Klaus Meine.
'Try me' 🔥🔥
Rather than quit, Klaus Meine (vocals) and Rudolf Schenker (guitar) decided to form a new band w/ Ulrich Roth (now Uli Jon Roth, lead guitar) and Francis Buccholz (bass) and used the Scorpions name.
After an extensive tour, the Scorpions took a break... their next album 'Savage Amusement' took a year to complete and was a platinum hit, but did not have the multi-platinum successes as Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Guns N' Roses, or Aerosmith that year...
Have you heard, "SEND ME AN ANGEL?" Beautiful!!!
You would absolutely love 'When Passion Rules The Game' and 'Big City Nights '. Rockin vibes. Ballads to check out are ' Send me an Angel', 'Believe in Love' and 'Wind of Change'. The latter being about bringing peace to the world. One of my favorites.
Hi Fam!!!!! ❤ This is a great song!
Rocked you like a hurricane gotta be next. Y’all will freak out. So good!
Big City Nights or No One Like You are my suggestions. Scorps are amazing no matter what you listen to.
Congratulations, thanks for review the scorpions, germany greatest rock export
Nobody knows this one, but trust me- "We'll Burn the Sky" should be next
Agree. "Sails of Charon" is a great one, too, from that era.
