Some to possibly add to the list: Kix - "Cold Blood", "Don't Close Your Eyes" | Brinty Fox - "Girlschool" | Tesla - "What You Give" | Poison - "Nothing but a Good Time", "Something to Believe In". I could keep going lol 😁
Germany's top notch heavy Metal band !!! Germany is famous for unusual music acts but Scorpions are the Best of Germany when it comes to Rock . Great choice !!!
Scorpions had a distinct sound, probably more listeners in the US than Germany. When I worked in the UK and Germany I was surprised at how much American R&B they listened to, far more airtime for US R&B artists across the pond than here. Robert Cray, Otis Redding, too many artists to mention. Great music is great music, but being married to a wonderful / beautiful African American woman - for 36 years now - all that American soul music across the pond was great to hear.
I wouldn't go so far as to call this one a guilty pleasure, but I would consider it one of a relatively short list of songs from that genre/time that is just too good not to like. The Zoo is a good one too.
Actually, scorpions had their biggest breakthrough album blackout during the hair album days, but they had been around since 69, 70, a full decade before hair metal, I was listening to them in 74, but yes, a lot of people didn’t hear of them until the 80s, but they were so old by the 80s two of them were already losing their hair, so hard to call them a hairband
I perform these guitar solos (air guitar) for all my girlfriends. I think they enjoy the silliness but also the accuracy of the movements. Edit: All my previous girlfriends and my current one. Lol I only have one at a time.
Matthias Jabs - a smoking lead guitarist! One of the better leads out there. Rudolph Schenker is also excellent. He plays rhythm guitar on this song, but also can play lead. A big 80s band out of Germany.
Not really a hair band but they get lumped in with them because of the great power ballads they made back in the day, some with a Billion Views. It is amazing for what was a niche German Hard Rock/ Heavy Metal band in the 70s, who made a heavy duty debut in 1970 on the album Lonesome Crow, with a teenage Michael Schenker (UFO & MSG) on blazing lead guitar. When Michael left to join UFO in 1973, he was replaced by Uli Jon Roth now on heavy, spacy leads at times and unique sound. They produced several classic 70s heavy duty albums and gained some popularity internationally while slowly getting airplay in the states. When Roth left, Mattias Jabs came on in and their sound became just a little more accessible, they came out swinging with the classic album Lovedrive, which also saw Michael Schenker guest on several songs. They're popularity blew up in the USA with Animal Magnetism and Blackout, both those songs are title tracks for the next 2 albums. From then on they were in Arenas and Stadiums for the rest of their ongoing careers, 54 years and counting and they still Kick Butt, do the songs Lovedrive, Animal Magnetism and Blackout. Real Scorpions thunder and lightning, amongst the best rock songs and albums in my lifetime, they will slay you, Beautiful, Sweet Angela! Enjoy. 🔥🎵🎸🎤🎸🎶🔥
When I was 16, I would wash the families two-tone champagne 1977 Ford Thunderbird for my dad.Id sneak away with the car for a quick drive to "dry it off".My drives got progressively longer and on one of them this song came on and I was so happy! Fun memories! Dad didn't seem to mind 😊
You're right. It was metal. At the time, I considered hair bands to be bands like flock of seagulls, a-ha, and surprise, haircut 100.... because a lot of those new wave bands were hairdressers. At least that's how I remember it.
I agree. That was just the style back then. We don't refer to 'hair soap operas' or 'hair supermodels' or 'hair movies'. Check out Pretty Woman and the hair on Julia Roberts. She was a great 'hair actress' back in the day, right?
This is one of the greats in Rock history. Legendary tune. Love the Scorps and this song is top tier.
The great Klaus Meine on vocals, and Rudy Schenker on guitar, great as always.
As a teenager in the 80's, this was one of my favorite songs, and it still rocks.
So many good songs by the Scorpions. All the songs on the Love at first sting album and the album Blackout.
Luv this song, of course brings back great memories.
I was not a hair band fan, but I liked these guys. Excellent singer!
Fantastic song. Great reaction..Thanks
Seen them live in concert a few times awesome show they put on yay, Still touring today, 👏😎 🥁🎤🎸
Great song!!!
Both this and the concert video are great.
Great band and song!!
The one song I like by them is Rock You Like A Hurricane! It's a graphic song, but I like the guitar and energy behind it! So long!
You'll fit right in with does dance moves 🤘😆🤘
If you like his voice, you'll love it after 'Still Loving You'!
Great song…I remember being in elementary school maybe 3rd grade and watching the video on MTV …it has definitely held the test of time 🎸🙏🏻
Great song! Fork-eye guy freaked me out.
Love scorpions. probably my favorite is 'When the Smoke Is Going Down' the best rock ballad in my book.
Check out the Scorpions' cover of The Who's "I Can't Explain". Really good.
Hi Angela, i wish i was 30 yrs younger! You are absolutely gorgeous ❤
These guys were terribly underrated!
No they weren’t! They had a greatest hits album before they even came to the US. They were fucking huge for another 20yrs in the US.
Animal Magnetism is another great track by the Scorpions that you need to check out. It's a killer track...
Gotta do Still Loving You. Its No One Like You's best friend. 😁
Hi Ms. D., I love the Scorpions.. ♠Mr.G..

Hi Ms. D., This song always reminds me of "Rock You Like A Hurricane".. ♠Mr.G..

👍👍💯
They had 3 guitar players. Winds of changs is great

Girl, it's been a long time that we've been apart. Much too long for a man who needs love. I've missed you since I've been away.....girl.....
I'm on the east coast so I'll just say, 'Rock You Like a Hurricane'
Great band and some rocking tunes , but I really dont know what bands I would label as hair band , never heard the term before tbh

What you call a hair band we called a rock band growing up in that time.
Scorpions blackout reaction
Pretty good English in singing for a German Band!
Scorpions Send Me An angel beautiful song. A good showcase of his singing ability.

🔥🎵🎸🎤🎸🎶🔥
Would love to see what you think of judas priests before the dawn
Alice Cooper “ Poison.”
The Scorpions are part of 70's metal, not really hair metal.
Try the Bullet Boys - Smooth up in ya
As others have said, Scorpions were definitely NOT a hair band.
Nobody from this time referred to this style of music as "hair bands." It's a derogatory term for the 80s metal / hard rock.
Dude. .chill.
The proper reference to this era is....STRIPPER MUSIC!!!!
@@joeyboedeker2047Wrong. The Scorpions are a metal band. Never heard of the genre you made up.

@@joeyboedeker2047 I never heard this music in any strip club I was in.
A German band
Not a hair band.
STOP SAYING HAIR BAND!
Once again not a hair band! Been around since the early 70’s!
I suffered thru these tunes 40 years ago. I don't recommend it.
Go away putz
