Adding to the other comments: Stick with one video, we're grown ups and can spin through if we want, the sponsors and YT allow for it. I'm fairly sure one YT-er told us avoiding the sponsorship shows up in the YT data. So anyone who wants to support you to the max only has to let the sponsorship run, and grab a cuppa instead of watching. So keep it to the end of the vid, okay?
Yes to the lathe restoration, all of your restorations are meticulous and fascinating. Love when your kid(s) interrupt, you seem like a fine, patient father. I could (and do) watch you work for hours. Thanks for the fine videos.
No brainer my friend, you and your family deserve to enjoy the fruits of your labor! I would sit through a few advertisements if it meant helping a artist like you create.
1. Would love to see a lathe restoration 2. Would definitely not mind any sponsor spots as long as that means we get to see more techniques and tools on the channel. 3. The question! What's the movement manufacturer (eta/segull/seiko etc) that you enjoy working on the most!

In terms of sponsorship, you’ve got to provide for your family….go for it, who are we to say who watch your amazing content for free. 🙏👍

yes to the lathe restoration. take the sponsorships especially if it enables you to improve the tools for your amazing restorations. I like when you involve your son it reminds me of my dad teaching me woodwork.
Absolutely to the lathe restoration! I was a machinist, in what seems like another life it's been so long ago, so I always enjoy seeing older machines being brought back to a good life. @@NekkidWatchmaker You should take sponsorships for sure. We all know that famous actor doesn't really drive that Ford pickup or midsize Chevy SUV... It's just part of the job, it comes with the territory. No need to deprive yourself from that opportunity.

You've done another stellar job with this one! As for the lathe: yes please do a restoration on that, and as for sponsorships and more video's so you can get any bit of kit your heart desires: I see that as a win-win situation so no problem here mate.
I agree, look into the deals and what sits comfortably with plus the tax account will love you for it 😘 PS why would Cartier have screws on the bracelet going in all directions 😱😱😱😱😱

I would love to see the lathe restoration, please. When I first started watching your channel I was perplexed that you would bother to restore some of those watches. Now, I get exited when I see some of the rubbish you are going to repair and restore to almost brand new. I'm never disappointed , it never gets old. Whatever you decide regarding sponsorship will be right for you. Cheers from Australia.
You have such amazing skills! From complex watch repairs to precision engineering... is there nothing you can't do?! Would love to see a video (or most probably a series of videos) of you designing and building a watch from scratch. Thanks again for a truly entertaining and educational film!
I started to say this video was some Hogwarts-level witchcraft, but it wasn’t. It was quite simply a beautifully stunning display of where craftsmanship and artistry meet up to create and inspire. Thank you for sharing your time, skill, and wisdom with us. Lathe restoration video? Absolutely! Sponsored content? Absolutely. This is your best video yet and it’s the best one I’ve seen across YT.
My father was a watchmaker repairer watching your clips brings some memories back to me. I always wonder how you remember the parts to put back together. A very entertaining series.
With experience you start to see/know the function of each part and from there you work your way. Not that I personally have much experience yet. But already from watching lots of videos i get better at knowing what part belongs where. And nobody is perfect: already seen videos of pro‘s who suddenly go: oops that part should be under the other one. And have to disasemble parts again.
A lathe restoration video would be educational and great fun to watch, so yes please! My daughter makes her own watch screws on a fine old Lorch lathe, so is fascinated with your skilled Cartier Santos restoration. ...I'm sorry to be a year late here, but we've only just discovered you...what a joy! 😊 Many blessings to you, Wendi and Billie 🌻🌻
The most fascinating watch restoration I have seen on any YT Channel. Yes please, a video of you fixing the lathe, I'm a sucker for restoration videos. Don't judge a person sitting on the street outside Tesco, offer to get them a sandwich and a drink.
Glad to see you working with your son! What a terrific gift to the future. There was a cartoon in the Saturday Evening Post showing a man taking with a neighbor over his fence. He was working with his children in his garden. The caption was “I could do it quicker by myself but I’m raising more than vegetables out here!”
Another beautiful restoration Joe. Q & A What got you started into watch making and how long have you've been at it? Yes, things are rough even across the pond in the US, but my wife of 49* years and I are struggling through it. Your videos always put a smile on my face and I watch [no pun intended] from beginning to end. Cheers from this old retired coot living the dream in Tennessee.
You are a master, and beyond. You never fail to amaze me in your craft, even after watching the same video over. Sponsorship is a must, you fairly deserve it. My comment might be 2 years late, as of this video. Its a pleasure and honor to be able to watch you work. BLESSINGS.
If you get offered sponsorship, jump on it. You deserve the money or product they’re offering you. You’re videos are so entertaining for us, its only right you get something in return. It’s only a minute in your videos, we can suck it up. 👍🏼
First time watching and it won’t be the last. Love your work, the personality you display, and the wit. This restoration is amazing and demonstrates craftsmanship (in miniature no less!).
What a transformation! Simply amazing. Yes, the lathe rebuild would be interesting. Yes, I think sponsored reviews would be appropriate if the products are applicable to your occupation or business. Keep up the great work!
Another astounding restoration - you brought it back from the grave! Yes, make the best of the sponsorship, you fully deserve it!! And thank you once again. 🙏 🤲
Listen,I watch a guy who has a shop where he does work with a lathe and and a milling machine and he he gives an honest opinion about a product as long as you're not trying to deceive people and your conscience is clean you earned the right to have sponsorship so good on you
Found this video through the youtube recommendations and i gotta say youre awesome. Youre a damn fine watchsmith and are funny while doing it. Keep on doing what youre doing👍🏻👍🏻
Amazing restore! And if you get a sponsorship from time to time, there is nothing wrong with that. It helps you and your family out and as long as you feel the product is legit you are simply sharing your viewpoint!
"Crooked as a Politician!" I'm glad to hear that some things are truly universal in this world. A fascinating exposition on the Cartier, also. Yes please on the Lathe Restoration Video as it would be a fascinating and useful bit of flavor. Your metalwork on the screws and the patience to cutout the plastic circles for the bracelet were terrific. That is true craftsmanship, all joking aside. Good to see Trouble again also.
I am a fan of your narrative style and your wonderful watch repairing skills. It gives me a great deal of pleasure in watching your videos. Your kindheartedness is inspiring. I love all your videos and your attitude that makes them more appealing. My prayers for you and your loved ones. ✌
Hey! I just found your channel recently, but your content is amazing! (And that's coming from a guy that watches a LOT of watch related videos online). I'm not sure what the other comments are saying, but please do NOT shy away from additional advertising on your channel. Especially if you can find sponsorships from brands and products you personally believe in. There are too few watchmakers left in the world, and from what I understand, it is a severely underpaid group as a whole. You can be an inspiration to a new generation of watchmakers, by showing them there are a lot more ways of monetising their passion, love and effort, than just servicing watches and replacing batteries. Thank you for what you do. Kind Regards, Anton
Where do the watches featured in the episodes come from? Are these repairs done for customers or watches you find and restore to their former glory? I would love to learn more about the behind the scenes of your shop and the watches! Absolutely adore the channel and all the hard work you put into it!
You’re skills are amazing and I love the total restoration of these great time pieces. As time moves forward you’re becoming more rare as a tradesman. I would imagine there aren’t many people who can do what you do. Well done man
I came across this video by accident. Watched it a bit, and asked myself who is this Brit? But as I watched I was mesmerized by your craftsmanship, entertained by your humor, and warmed by your humanity. Mr. Nekkid, you just earned yourself another subscriber. Keep up the good work mate.
For the years of time and effort you have put into your videos here, take advantage of those sponsorships, sir. You've more than earned it. Plus, it's mutually beneficial. There will be new goodies on the channel. Thank you for your content. Your videos are exceptional!
Breath taking, a simply breath taking restoration, but you know what truly touched me was your comment about not wishing to accept gifts but for those well intentioned people to sell them and raise a little cash to support local food banks.
Watching your videos has become one of my favorite ways to relax, so thank you. As for sponsorships, in my own opinion I have no objection provided they help you to deliver better content to us, your viewers. If a sponsorship will help you rise to the next level (different machines, more advanced techniques, different but associated subject matter, etc.) then I believe a minute of my time is hardly objectionable for an ever-improving level of content that I already enjoy regardless. However, please only consider this if YOU are ready to progress. Cheers!
1. The lathe restoration would be interesting, so I would watch that! 2. Hey, you have to keep the lights on, right? So, I have no problem with sponsorships or promos as long as it's obvious that's what it is. 3. My question, short version: How much restoration is too much restoration? 4. My question, long version: I love your work. The case and bracelet restorations are really cool. However, I do tend to like my vintage watches in as close to an original, aged state as possible. I like dial patina, aged lume, etc. A few dings and dents on the case/bracelet shows a watch's history. You tend to go in the other direction, IMO, which is not a criticism. It's a big, wide watch world out there and one likes what one likes--and the level of restoration you do is undoubtedly driven by the expectations, tastes, and financial resources of a particular watch's owner. But, for your personal collection, for say a non-runner you might pick up on eBay with intention to make it work and make it your own, would you do a like-new, full restoration or would you keep it as original as possible? Thanks for your videos! I really enjoy them.
You deserve the sponsorship, you are an amazing watchmaker and highly skilled. I am sure you will chose appropriate sponsors and again you deserve a little “extra cheese”!!
Thanks Paul
I agree. Why not earn some money? We all do. That will never change who you are and that is a fine wach maker...⌚

You've done another stellar job with this one! As for the lathe: yes please do a restoration on that, and as for sponsorships and more video's so you can get any bit of kit your heart desires: I see that as a win-win situation so no problem here mate.
I agree, look into the deals and what sits comfortably with plus the tax account will love you for it 😘
PS why would Cartier have screws on the bracelet going in all directions 😱😱😱😱😱
Thanks for your feedback mate
Yes to lathe restoration, yes to sponsorship, yes to anything else you can possibly think about, bow to the Master of timekeeping!
Wow, frankly that was astonishing. What an achievement. Lathe restoration - YES PLEASE!! Thanks Nekkid.
Perfect example of good Child labor! My dad build houses, and do the same.
The spark in interest a dad can give his children is amazing
I started to say this video was some Hogwarts-level witchcraft, but it wasn’t. It was quite simply a beautifully stunning display of where craftsmanship and artistry meet up to create and inspire. Thank you for sharing your time, skill, and wisdom with us. Lathe restoration video? Absolutely! Sponsored content? Absolutely. This is your best video yet and it’s the best one I’ve seen across YT.
Thank you for another informative lesson mate. Wouldn’t hurt to have a sponsorship in your video if it helps your channel grow. Love your videos!
Thanks mate
My father was a watchmaker repairer watching your clips brings some memories back to me. I always wonder how you remember the parts to put back together. A very entertaining series.
With experience you start to see/know the function of each part and from there you work your way. Not that I personally have much experience yet. But already from watching lots of videos i get better at knowing what part belongs where. And nobody is perfect: already seen videos of pro‘s who suddenly go: oops that part should be under the other one. And have to disasemble parts again.
You sound like a reasonably smart chap. Sponsorship in line with your ethics should be a win/win result.
It's great to watch a skilled guy doing something he loves doing , brilliant.
Thanks Russell
Glad to see you working with your son! What a terrific gift to the future.
There was a cartoon in the Saturday Evening Post showing a man taking with a neighbor over his fence. He was working with his children in his garden. The caption was “I could do it quicker by myself but I’m raising more than vegetables out here!”
Underrated comment. 😢
Thanks Bob. I hope and pray things improve for you and your wife. It’s getting a bit tough out there
Absolutely incredible restoration..
People like you, with your determination and patience drove the human race forward. 👏👏
Thanks Ben
You are a master, and beyond. You never fail to amaze me in your craft, even after watching the same video over. Sponsorship is a must, you fairly deserve it. My comment might be 2 years late, as of this video. Its a pleasure and honor to be able to watch you work. BLESSINGS.
If you get offered sponsorship, jump on it. You deserve the money or product they’re offering you. You’re videos are so entertaining for us, its only right you get something in return. It’s only a minute in your videos, we can suck it up. 👍🏼
Thank you 😊
First time watching and it won’t be the last.
Thanks Richard
I love your English humor and your brother's music.
100% do the sponsorship - you work hard on these videos and deserve to make a little more change from them. Lovely job as always Nekkid.
Thanks George
Just amazes me how someone can damage a watch like that but you brought it back to life and such a beautiful timepiece too.
Another astounding restoration - you brought it back from the grave! Yes, make the best of the sponsorship, you fully deserve it!! And thank you once again. 🙏 🤲
Listen,I watch a guy who has a shop where he does work with a lathe and and a milling machine and he he gives an honest opinion about a product as long as you're not trying to deceive people and your conscience is clean you earned the right to have sponsorship so good on you
This is the first time I have watch your channel. You do amazing restoration. You also have a kind heart. You are an inspiration to others.
Thank you 🙏
Go for the money. You’re the best watchmaker and most entertaining. Nothing wrong with getting paid.
This is one of your best yet.fantastic skills,I hope the owner was suitably impressed and grateful.
Thank you 🙏
"Crooked as a Politician!" I'm glad to hear that some things are truly universal in this world.
Thanks praveen
Nice work. Finished product was quite exceptional!
Kind Regards,
Anton
Thanks anton for your feedback mate
Where do the watches featured in the episodes come from? Are these repairs done for customers or watches you find and restore to their former glory? I would love to learn more about the behind the scenes of your shop and the watches! Absolutely adore the channel and all the hard work you put into it!
You’re skills are amazing and I love the total restoration of these great time pieces. As time moves forward you’re becoming more rare as a tradesman. I would imagine there aren’t many people who can do what you do. Well done man
Thank you so much!
You deserve for your family all the financial benefits and giving form all your sponsorship you can get.
Cheers Michael
Thank you 🙏
I came across this video by accident. Watched it a bit, and asked myself who is this Brit? But as I watched I was mesmerized by your craftsmanship, entertained by your humor, and warmed by your humanity. Mr. Nekkid, you just earned yourself another subscriber. Keep up the good work mate.
Thank you 🙏
For the years of time and effort you have put into your videos here, take advantage of those sponsorships, sir. You've more than earned it. Plus, it's mutually beneficial. There will be new goodies on the channel.
Thank you for your content. Your videos are exceptional!
Thank you 🙏
I agree
That's unbelievable, what a great looking watch, love the bracelet. Cannot believe how you transformed that from a piece of junk!, Top job 👍
heeeeeyyyyyy!!! I was just checking in earlier today saying to myself "I miss these videos!" Welcome back!
Take the sponsorship, it benefits us in the long run, plus you get brownie points from the accountant!
As always great content with your own inimitable style of commentary
Oh and by the way the finished watch looked superb ; )
Breath taking, a simply breath taking restoration, but you know what truly touched me was your comment about not wishing to accept gifts but for those well intentioned people to sell them and raise a little cash to support local food banks.
That watch looks beat to hell. I can’t imagine treating a Santos this way. You are magical.
I LOVE the channel. Great craftsman, fun dad...amazing content and humble with it.
Thanks Greg
Believe me the pleasure is all mine. Keep up the good work.
Cheers!
Thank you for your feedback mate really appreciate it
your kids are lucky to have you, by just listening to you throughout the video all im thinking is what a wonderfull soul.....
