Austin Rivers looks like Andrew Tate 😂
Was just about to type that
Lmfaoooo he kinda does
Broooo facts 😂
I was also going to g to comment that until I saw this ong.😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂
I think there's a difference between taking accountability and someone making you accountable.
It’s up to the owner or gm to say who didn’t show up
Holding you accountable you mean!
@@Wolfmob123 potato potáto
Being fired isn’t not being accountable. He doesn’t have a choice
Responsibility vs accountability. The only counterpoint PatBev and Austin offer is negated by using the wrong definition of accountability. The only thing they have left is smearing the guy for not being a great defender and acting like Doc saved his career when he played even better in Philly for 2 years.
Doc getting fired by his superiors isn’t self accountability. Doc has a habit of pointing the finger at everyone except himself. That’s the point JJ was making.
Austin said he’s (Doc) the one who’s always being held responsible. Not accountable.
Yeah, his true colors always come out during interviews after his failures. This guy is a grade A under-the-bus snitch.
When has doc blamed other ppl?
@@ddh540 literally every time. Go look up his interviews after playoff chokes. Always blames someone else.
Bingo, it’s his employer’s holding him accountable as that is his job. Of course the coach is never solely to blame but it’s easier to change that than blow a team up. Doc is always making excuses, JJ is entitled to his opinion and Austin river’s said absolutely nothing relevant to what JJ said
My man said “WE” had to sit u like if it was his team 😂😂😂

Jj is not wrong doc blames everyone but himself he did it with Ben Simmons and harden
And when he left the Clippers. And now 2 weeks into his new role
He had a good reason with Harden and Simmons tho
They both didn’t show up in those games though, like it’s hard to win when your second best players shooter like 3-18 and play no defense to make up for the lack of offense. Should he call them out publicly after a lost? Probably not. But he wasn’t wrong either
@@gogoof1791then change the game plan. He's the coach. If threes isn't getting it done settle for plays in the paint. Set up plays to make your team win. Not changing the game plan is why he always lost on game 7s the most cause most coaches adjust their game plan to counter the opponent by game 7 while doc stays the same
He didn’t know what to do with harden he playn solid in L.A with a real coach

Whoosh. The point flew right over his head. Doc has been held accountable (deservedly so) by front offices & GMs who have fired him. The issue is that HE does not hold HIMSELF accountable when asked why things go wrong.
“We had to sit you towards the end of the game” - Austin Rivers

We need to see a JJ v Austin Rivers slap fest match
😂😂
I want to see JJ vs. Austin Rivers, then a Rasheed Wallace or Big Baby Davis vs. Doc match. Give them each a few shots and make them watch tape of Doc badmouthing people beforehand.
Power slap match ? We need to get Dana White on the line asap
😂😂😂
😂😂😂
Austin really doesn't understand the difference between SELF accountability vs accountability. I have never seen any clip of Doc ever shouldering any blame for any loss in his career.
Cuz he never has, never will. Never his fault, ever. Not even one time.
which is crazy because the man will be 3-1 up, has to win one more game, and slips on a banana peel, down the stairs, out the door, then blames the team.
Holding yourself accountable vs someone else holding you accountable. Also, Austin river’s personal attack was straight up wrong, and all he did was make himself look like an idiot. His best years were with the sixers, not the clippers, he was unlocked like never before allowing for him to explore his playmaking and shot creation side next to Embiid, which doc all but ignored, the clips also rode with JJ even when his shots were dropping, and this idea that JJ wasn’t a good defender 10 years later is just wrong, he wasn’t an all nba caliber defender, but he wasn’t bad, and Austin rivers saying they needed to sit him for defense is hilarious when he was riding the bench more than JJ and being mid on defense too.
What do you get for holding your self accountable? Nothing at all Im always right is the way of life that why we narcissists are always on top of society while those introverts are depressed and always want to unlive themselves
@@minjikim2161you get integrity, respect from others, legitimacy, honor, shall I go on? Lol. Weirdo

@@averymoore9144there’s a difference between holding yourself accountable and someone else holding you accountable, which Austin missed. He then followed it up by saying JJ’s best season were under doc, which was false, they were under Brett brown after doc, he then mentioned JJ being in his feelings about being sat for defense when the clips rode with jj down the stretch all the time, he wasn’t a bad defender, and ironically, Austin rivers was the dude riding the bench in the situation. Those weren’t facts, it was a dude grasping at straws to try and have his dad’s back.
“We had to sit you toward the end of the game”……. Who’s we? 🤔
🏃♂️ : me to the Comment section to see who else was wondering who da he11 "we" is/was
Rivers also played on the clippers so we as in the team
I think Austin was on the clippers once a upon a time i think is what he meant
He was a kid at that time. When he says “we” he means the clips. He obviously would be supporting the clips since his dad was the coach. That’s why he is saying we. Just like fans say “we” when speaking on their teams
He played on the team too. What you don’t remember must be 12 y/o
Austin with the straight-face lying🤣
Bro JJ isn’t the only player who feels like this he just happen to say it on tv
It goes to show how much of a talker and politician Doc is. He speaks eloquently and is always praising people, but every time he fails, he starts throwing people under the bus and putting them down, meaning that he doesn’t mean any of the stuff he says normally, and is just talking to achieve some goal. True colors.
Why is JJ so heated 💀
He ain’t really lying tho🤷🏽♂️
@@loading2703UP TO PLAYERS WANT TO PLAY
Views and probably just a little bit of being triggered about him personally I guess idk
Why is JJ so angry? It almost seems personal.
Angry or personal or not it's completely true. Doc Rivers has a history of blaming his players. Perhaps that could be the reason why JJ took it personally, even though I've never seen Doc throw him under the bus
I’m sure there is some truth to that, I’ve heard that clipper’s team blew up in pretty nasty fashion behind closed doors, and considering Doc’s tendency to publicly throw his players under the bus, I can only imagine how it was going down behind closed doors.
@@jokerofmorocco did you not hear when doc said 'that' clippers team was never championship caliber? he basically removed himself from having any responsbility by saying to the nba community that he was given a team that never had any championship potential and he took them as far as he could. ever since he went to the media with that, jj and many other ex-doc pros have lashed out at doc for exactly what jj is saying here.

It's a coaches job to organize the team, work in game plans and hold players responsible.

austin 100% correct on this jj definitely has some built up anger for doc
We had to sit you 😂
I want JJ to respond to Austin. We all want that smoke. 😂
Some context to this:
Doc came out and publically admitted that he never personally believed that the CP3, Blake Griffin, DJ, JJ, JCrossover lob city Clipper team could ever win anything.
He admitted it years later but said it in a way like "Those guys never had it in em"
JJ was obviously upset about this cuz that not only deflects all of the blame away from you as the coach but it also retroactively destroys every thing you said as a coach to those players because now we know you never meant any of it cuz you never actually believed in any of us.
And guess what, Doc has done this multiple times. Every time he has been asked about his past failures he throws the players under the bus but when he is asked about those players' performances in real time while he is coaching the team he will revert to responses like, "Y'all don't know anything about basketball"
Being held responsible for something and also not taking accountability for it are two different things Austin.
He said Daddy and that was it for me lol😂
He said my dad he…, not daddy
Im a Clippers fan. I never remember Doc not making excuses after losses. Jj is right
A son is supposed to defend his father. Even if it’s wrong.
Someone tell Austin that being held responsible by someone else and taking accountability one’s self are not the same thing.
No nice try JJ just emotional

That's what a grown adult would do.
Every time a Rivers family member denies responsibility that eye get a little bit lazier

Shoutout nardwuar
JJ mad cause Doc sat him out at the end of the game!
Doc been riding that celtics ring for years. Biggest finesser in the league
JJ Reddick has always been acerbic in his commentary. What a deadpan delivery. Simply put…sour grapes. I hope he DOES NOT replace the legendary duo of Mark Jackson and Jeff Van Gundy. These are truly dark days of NBA Basketball…
This aged well for JJ!😂😂😂
Someone holding him accountable/responsible doesn’t mean that he’s showing accountability..
JJ blew a fuse and Austin responded calmly and collected. I agree with Austin here, yes Doc isn’t perfect but he’s also been just been in some unfortunate situations that were not his fault.
JJ is doing his job as a televised sports analyst, getting loud to be more entertaining while making his point.
Rivers blatantly lied and ignored his actual points
Where did Austin say that? Couldn’t hear it in between the personal attacks and completely missing JJ’s point.
Austin completely missed JJ’s point. Everything Austin said had to do with Doc being fired by the GM/owner. Everything JJ said had to do with Doc throwing his players under the bus and not taking accountability himself.
JJ Redick has always been a baller and made a NBA finals appearance with the magic when Austin was still in middle school bragging that his dad is doc rivers.
Austin Really telling the truth . We don't see behind scenes only what's on screen. And JJ to me had his best run under Doc Rivers
Austin Rivers has a poster of himself playing for all his teams behind him on First Take. 😂
Austin Rivers is hands down the most emotional analyst ever
Austin’s argument was emotional and wrong. Responsibility and Accountability are NOT THE SAME THING
No it wasn't players from the clippers weren't saying that? I clearly remember clippers players saying they didn't want to be in the bubble
Also, the personal slander was just straight up not true too. Austin was grasping at straws trying to insult JJ
JJ said Doc blames everyone and doesn't take accountability, that's different to what Austin is saying here
That’s not true tho
Just because someone says something with conviction doesn’t make it true
Responsible =\= accountable
I think it’s funny how he mentioned the Bubble and players’ state of mind there.
"I don't need to stick up for my dad hes a grown man" processes to
sticks up for his dad
Held responsible and taking accountability are two totally different things.
gotta love Austin rivers response.. a grown man's response
C’mon. JJ is not angry. He is smart enough to understand what ESPN wants to raise viewers - emotional and controversial.
Really unprofessional by JJ considering he himself was interviewing for head coaching roles and also will be expected to be an unbiased commentator.
Being held responsible and taking accountability are two different things 😂
Both are right to an extent. Docs teams often come up short but JJ was definitely a part of some of those teams and didn't exactly change the narrative in the NBA
If someone has to point out that it is your responsibility to get these things fixed, then you have not taken accountability
Perfectly said AUSTIN!!
Doc was made accountable but he never took accountability himself, it was always other people's fault...JJ was absolutely right.
Gotta agree with Austin on this one
Man austin took it personal
Austin rivers wanna talk about his career being saved by doc rivers 😭😭😭
I could only imagine how it is being in the locker room with some these guys.....
I’m with Austin with this one . They being hard on doc and his son step up it’s great accountability 😅
JJ was a great streaky 3pt shooter but had zero lateral quickness to defend on the perimeter and was a liability at end of games
Austin being more accountable for his dad than his dad is for himself is wild lol
Nah, baby doc needs to sit down and be quiet
Doc is still regarded somewhat as one of the best coaches by some ppl although he hasn’t won anything since Boston. Idk about him making excuses so much as others making excuses for him
Being help responsible is not the same as being accountable.
being held responsible is you dealing with the negative consequences of your shortcomings & actions.
Being accountable is owning your shortcomings, & taking the blame when YOU mess up vs. always blaming others.
This is like watching a bad MTV show 😂
The fact that Austin Rivers was even on the team is pure example of how JJ was right, and the mf even got paid as if he was decent
He was actually good player, way better then JJ anyway
Getting fired isn't the same as being accountable though
Austin Rivers was a daddys boy with the clippers and ultimately was the reason and caused the team to break down for locker room favoritism over jj and others. Doc has been awful post celtics era and we need to acknowledge that and stop recycling him now years later with still giving him chances to coach and its clear hes done as a coach.
Your best years line was a super effective, critical hit.
Very good response by Austin
Austin's response was powder puff. Being fired just means eventually being found out
Being fired is being fired JJ is soft
"he aint lying"
The problem with Doc is he is stuck in the wrong era of basketball. His coaching habits are those of the early 2000's, when you played starters 95% of the game and the bench barely gets minutes. I think we've all seen with the 2011 Mav, 2012-13 Heat, 14 Spurs, Golden state and the Cavs, in the modern NBA your bench is what makes or breaks you in the playoffs. JJ Barea, Mike Miller, Shane Battier, Patty Mills, Manu, Shaun Livingston, Iggy, are just a few examples. The Lakers in 2020 had a different starting line up in every single series, that;s modern coaching, and Doc has never done that ever. His coaching style is simply outdated.
In my opinion JJ best years was with that Dwight Howard Orlando Magic team
Exactly well said Austin. JJ riding his MAGA attitude all it is rude pompus I’m smarter than everyone attitude. Bro has zero loyalty or respect just speaks ridiculous statements.
We had to sit you ? Lmao wth
Gotta love how Austin didn’t address the point at all. Good strategy when you have no argument lol.
I guess Austin doesn’t know the difference between being held responsible and taking accountability 😂😂😂
No his best years were with the 76ers
Responsibility: “the state or fact of having a duty to deal with something or of having control over someone”
Accountability: “an obligation or willingness to accept responsibility or to account for one's actions”
Yes, Doc was held responsible for the failures of him & his players, but he carries no accountability for said failures whatsoever
Molly Q: Stephen A can't down blacks right now
Shannon S: JJ Redick is close enough
Actually Reddick put up his best numbers with Philly.
Being held responsible is totally different than taking accountability lol
He’s the head coach. Of course he’s held responsible for the team.
Considered the fact he gave you a career in the league you never would have had
Austin you had one job, all you had to do was fact check before you spoke JJ best years was in Philly under Brett Brown 2017-2019
Why is JJ yelling?Dude is slowly becoming a perfect fit for todays media
Here comes Austin Rivers…
..oh wait, actually, these are pretty solid points.
Whats up with Austin’s ear. He look like an MMA fighter 😂😂😂
His best years were in Philly not LA
Doc Rivers and Kendrick Perkins benefited the most from that chip with limited/negligible contribution.
Doc literally made mad excuses when they lost to Utah. He said it was a scheduled loss basically 😂
Thanks Austin for validating JJ’s point by making more excuses for your father… like father, like son!!
JJ is right & that is something I have never said before
