Nice review, quick and simple. Would it be possible to test the dials and microphone next time? For example, talking into it at the same speech volume whiling rotating the dial to see how much of a big difference it makes, and clicking on the mute button to see if people can hear us mute or unmute the mic. Would be also nice to see if the RGB changes color when the mic is on mute or not. Either way, thanks for the video!
@@TechReviewsTV Yes, they have white. the black one you showed and they have the pink one i mentioned. i'm shur i'll love it to, it sounded amazing on your video. ✨
Great review! Just one question, I've seen some other people test the microphone using the USB cable alone and (Some) end up sounding like a regular gaming headset microphone with reduced quality; was the un-edited audio straight out of the box without any filters or adjustments?
Which one would you pick the k688 or the am8? It’s so hard to choose I’ve watched so many video and they both sound so good.I’m gonna use it for gaming
You may need to consider taking advantage of the XLR feature, which means an audio mixer should also be on your purchase list. If the budget is limited, the Razer Siren Mini should not have a problem working fine for you for a longer time.
If you're not a big fan of Razer, we think that the AM8 really smashes the Seiren mini. Put a lot more on-body features aside, just the dynamic capsule would fit better than a condenser one in a less-treated room.
@@TechReviewsTV Yes but you do have to be direct towards a microphone, not side to it or anything, I mean I understand it could be a blockage, but I did manage to put it where it's on the left side of things and bent it up and down to put my arm under it so that it can be right in the middle so I can managed to talk to the microphone directly while looking at the monitor I also did get close in the microphone and talk to it and it did not really distorted my voice sort of (Forgot to mention that i just got it yesterday lol)
I love the fact the sounds a lot better and what I do like about that the fifine AM8 microphone because it has a IXL Output where can record and also has color lights and headphones output. It got a volume feature. This microphone is highly reccomend for gaming and recording, streaming and conference and also talking to people in addtion to that.
i have rode nt1-a do u think should i buy this mic , is it really good sounding mic? cuz i've noise and some echo in my room and i need dynamic mic and how it sounds with audio interface
Um, tbh, the AM8 is built for users who have just started gaming or streaming. We actually would recommend the $99 Rode Podmic as the alternative to your NT1-A in some cases.
@@FIFINE OMG! I GOT Goosebumps when i saw an official fifine page reply to me with honest review, thank you for advising me i really appreciate that , before my rode mic i was using fifine mic and it was amazing so THANK YOU for making my life easier on some point.
I bought this microphone and I could hear a lot of tru background noise and my voice for some reason starts shaking could you tell me if you know why it’s happening?
Are you talking directly into the top of the mic? Did you adjust the gain? Don't keep the gain at 100% and bring the mic closer to you and speak directly into it. This will help reduce the noise to voice ratio.
@@idiotuss oh I got mine returned and got a new one for free lol. But no I don’t think there’s any way to fix the hissing, but my new one sounds great, I’m using right now for voice chat on fortnite. And if you have a console I wouldn’t suggest checking the audio on a recording on there to test the audio. While it sounds good in voice chat, on recordings it sounds weird, but a good way to see what the mic really sounds like is on Mac book, that’s what I used to test the sound
@@bunbuns08 Its the cable they provide, It for some people ruins the audio or in my case it created like a helicopter type noise in the background. Couple ways to fix it, 1. Connect the USB A part to a usb hub then connect the usb hub to your your device and that worked for me. Another way is to buy a new cable that is usb A 3.0 or has sheilding stuff or XLR

Am8 For sure
K688 has a lot of resonance noise. Watch the Podcastage review if you haven't already
For gaming and streaming, the AM8 is pretty good enough. But if you do a bit more voice or even vocal recording, then the K688 may fit better.
@@wish-56 As long as the applications involve recording, just choose the K688.
hey quick question: hyper x solocast vs fifine am8?? which should i buy?
both are different , solocast is condenser, and am8 is dynamic, so it depends on your need
Nice video! ❤ im getting this today

great review, I am wondering if you could do like keyboard asmr on this if you pointed the mic directly towards your keyboard
I like how it sounds, but I´m between the fifine AM8 or the Razer seiren mini, so if someone has advice in which one should I buy?

I think the idea ks that you have to get close to the microphone so that it can make it up to cover all that background noise
Yup I was close to the mic the entire time

Does the xlr connection sound better than the usb connection?
In most cases, it would be a yes, but if the audio interface is not that great, then you might get poorer audio quality than the USB.
