In this video I will show you my step by step instructions on how I texlax my hair. Also want to mention I do the back of my hair first just in case it gets a little more process than I wanted. That way it will be in the back area and not the front. Also note soon as I finish putting the texlax on the last piece of hair I started to wash it out. So it was only in until I finished with the last piece then I took it right out. Always use a neutralizing shampoo right after use it maybe two or three times. After that you may use any kind of damage control products you use on your hair to protect your hair from damage. Also make sure you condition your hair for 1 hour or more so that all the moisture can get back into your hair.
What is a texlax?
The Definition of Texlax.
“Texlaxed” hair refers to hair that is is intentionally under-processed with the same chemicals as relaxers. The final look is more textured than relaxed hair, but straighter than natural, chemical-free hair.

( I see that my comment "Good quality hair" has ruffled some feathers.
Good quality hair is not Cacasian hair. Good quality hair is not mixed hair. Good quality hair is not Indian hair and so on and so forth. Every hair texture and types has good and damaged or hard to maintain textures. So when I stated "GOOD QUALITY HAIR" I didnt mean you couldnt have 4c or any other grade hair for it to be good. What I did mean was hair that was more manageable with no hard tangles. You may or may not agree with my def of what I feel is a more manageable texture. That was just my opinion and everyone is entitled to one. )

Beautysworld v I knew exactly what u meant. I think most ppl did, except the argumentive, negative, ready-to-fight folk.
Oh my goodness! There is absolutely no need to explain yourself chica....most of us understood what you meant. People are waaaay too sensitive.
It’s an excellent video by the way. I tried being natural, but now I’m totally over it hahaha. I’m definitely going to texlax my hair soon and this video was very informative. Thank you. 👍🏽
You also said ur edges looked laid not all ‘nappy’
Girl you used the word nappy too just be real and say you DONT THINK 4c is good hair.
I know this is going to sound so silly but I have to thank you for this vid. Not sure how I found your vid but it was what I needed. I have been natural for 20 years or more. I am the caretaker for my mother; she has colon cancer and Alzheimer's. and I need to manage a ton of things and my hair should NOT be one of them. I purchased the texturizer kit many months ago and almost every weekend I found myself watching your vid with kit in hand. Well, last night I DID IT. I followed your method and oh my goodness, the texture I have ! I cried at the ease of just running my fingers through my hair. Combing, twisting didn't take an hour only took 15 mins. So thank you for making this vid and for making at least my hair more manageable (for me) God bless you .
WEG918 God bless you.
Thank you Toni. I have cut out all processed foods. Everything that goes in her mouth I make. We have coffee each morning. I was going to cut that out but he loves coffee and I am not going to take that from her. We love greens and I fix some sort of "green" food item for her each day. This is the hardest thing I have had to do. Thank you so much for your comment. I do appreciate it. Best, Mitzi

theres nothing wrong with "nappy" edges. What is good quality hair?
Nothing is wrong with nappy edges, it's the hair you were born with. !!!!!
My thoughts too.
It is wrong to have nappy edges when you're wearing Indian hair on your head. And buckshots on your neck.
Good quality hair ~hair that looks like it’s natural and healthy... that’s what she meant . Nappy edges bcause her edges were nappy lol now they’re not
This is beautiful get off her page with your ghetto questioning drama. Why do they make ppl like that
"a little bit too natural" oh lorddd.. i mean i'm not hating on her for processing her hair it's just why she gotta hate on her natural hair?? and "good quality hair?" all natural, healthy hair is good quality hair.. not just hair that is type 2c-4a.
Breana R. Say it louder for the folks in the back!! 👏🏾👏🏾 Good quality hair is healthy hair. PERIOD. Doesn't matter what your curl texture is.
I have no problem with people relaxing their hair, I actually want to texlax my hair myself but when you use words like “nappy” or “good quality hair” that’s when you go from just trying something new to being self hating.
Just a tip do your nape and edges last since that part of your hair is more fragile there
You need a neutralizing shampoo or clarifying shampoo that is not an option.
+mspinkytee no it is not an option that's why I said you need a neutralizing shampoo you can also use a regular shampoo afterwords is what I was saying. I also wrote all the information in the description box. You're the second person that said that so I guess that part is confusing I'll leave an annotation there just in case
+Beautysworld no sis, some people just need to learn to LISTEN & READ... Great tutorial btw...

THE READ QUEEN She never used the word AFTER...why insult others when you ought to simply take your own advice🤔
Thanks! it's hard to find a good texlax video (with a Walk-through) ! I don't know why people who choose NOT to relax their hair come on your page to critique. #MoreViewsForYou
BLowAkissCutie BECAUSE THEY ARE UNHAPPY. JUDGMENTAL IMDIVIDUALS.
Your hair💕💕💕💕. Nice tip w/the addition of conditioner and oil. I may texlax soon, cause my shrinkage is real. :)
I have been natural for 9 yrs and I am over it really. Top notch hair care, deep conditions + protein treatments + protective styling no longer than 2 mos......and each time I do a flat iron (1-2x a year) my hair is toe up from the flo up. I moisturize religiously, been through about 50 different moisturizers, both natural/organic and regular products. So no I am tired of it and really considering doing this.
Ahdree23 go for it hon. Your time and money is more valuable than hair.
Maybe you should try not to use protein treatments because not all hair responds well to it. It makes my hair feel very hard. My hair is very strong and healthy and long. I do minimal to it. I just wash n deep condition with good products every 2-3 weeks and I wear my hair straightened on a lower heat with heat protectant and wrap it or wear protective styles. I’m not even that great of a natural by UA-cam standards but my hair doesn’t break off at all, my ends are very healthy, it’s always growing, and I am very gentle with my hair.
Ahdree23 I cleaned house and simplified my routine. It is so much better now. I’m down to 5 products and loving it.
glad 2 see you adding oil and conditioner to the mix. i have always wondered about that!
You don't owe anyone a explanation. You and God know what u meant and that's enough.
That's how i part my hair and dye it and my arms hurt after that lol i know this vid was a lot of work thanks it was great ! :)
thanks for putting this video up,I am in the process of transitioning n this will be really helpful..... tfs
Good quality hair? -_- So 4c hair isn't good quality?
Nice one I will try that on my hair too thanks.
I glad that i found your channel. Good video!
What's "that good quality hair" 🤔?
Janelle Brown what is an opinion?🤔
Your hair looks great!!
I know you like rocking those beautiful units but your hair is GORGEOUS Thanks for sharing god bless take care xoxo.
I texlax twice a yr...that's all. I have super thick mega hair...so I know your struggle lol
Hi I’m glade you put how often you do this. I was curious as to how often.
How come you only do it twice a year
just a top, you never want to apply the relaxer directly on your scalp
hair looks amazing love it and her voice had to subscribe
Your hair is gorgous. TFS x
I can relate !! now I'm thinking about texlaxing.
It's about time for me to texlax my hair again. I usually get a texlax kit (barely enough product to do my head) so I will try your method next time.
Girl you're the best
I LOVE THIS!!!! THANK YOU!!!!
Looks good, I'm natural, this looks tempting
Love your hair so pretty.
how did you fix the natural hair in the middle of the texlaxed hair ? relax that part again ?
wouaaaw your hair are just beautiful 😙
hello how much time did you leave on your hair?the product I mean...
thanks
this is my question a lot of people can get their hair 2 lay with out texturizing it, but it don't stay
so texturing makes it consistent so u can wear different styles other than a bush. what's wrong with that? it don't mean u hate your hair you just want it to STAY put and stop stribbling and striking. she really didn't change her texture just tamed it. this is still natural imo
Great Video!
Very pretty very nice .. I will not be doing this but it's still pretty non the less lol
how did you do your hair in the purple top did use a iron heat or blow dryer
Beautiful hair 💕
hello how much time do you leave your texlax before wash it?thanks
i look twice ur video but i dont hear that
thanks
Nice 😍😍😍 i love it
Im hispanic can i use this..my hair is not straight like í want it. Thanks
hi I like this video!!
Really gorgeous hair. How do you prevent breakage between touch ups 7 months apart?
Flash back of my perm days......
Same here... I ain’t missin you at all🎶🎵
looks good...
Is that a Tablespoon? Curious as to how much to put into the relaxer. That spoon is BIG. Don't want to over do it.
You must use a neutralizing shampoo! You mentioned you could use any shampoo in you introduction, using any shampoo could lead to a disaster. Please make a correction so that others will not damage their hair with your wrong information.
What kind of relaxer is that
Love the video... 👍👍👍
I just wanna know if you still consider yourself natural.if your processing ?
For everybody saying, oh it's still chemical It's not natural. How many of Yah'll have blonde hair? How many of Yah'll have dyed your "natural" hair. Chemical is chemical. Stop hammering her about what she said and what she's doing. I'm sure she didn't mean to offend anybody, Yah'll just like picking at people lol talk about something that you don't agree with and call it wrong🙄 go away
Meme Thaxter Thank You!
Meme Thaxter not me. But I plan to hydrogen peroxide to dye my hair which is natural, relaxers cause fibroids. It's not the chemicals for me but the type of chemical. If the chemical makes u sick u shouldn't use it. Which is why I wont be using bleach because it causes cancer.
exactly technically nobody is natural.. because its some type of chemical in your hair.. not all relaxers are harsh chemicals. this relaxer is very light
But dying your natural hair a certain color won't change your curl pattern, putting in a relaxer will, so your comparison isn't valid. And that's people OPINION, if they don't agree and they think it's wrong they have every right to say so.
rolanda edouard. Dye is a chemical dear. Toxic and unnatural. Nothing to debate.
I'm not a natural "natzi" but you didmt have to say "good quality hair", you basically putting down other women with your natural hair type. That was unneeded, unnecessary. Just say "you dont like your hair or can't handle it" not "now I have natural looking hair/good quality" when your real hair is also considered "looking natural" -.-
Exactly and on top of that, all hair that is healthy, soft, resistant to breakage/strong, and has great luster is called good quality hair. The natural texture itself has very little to do with it. You have people who have straight or wavy hair who have bad quality hair because of over styling with heat, & over processing due to chemical bleaching. I wish black women would drop that negative mentality of 4b/4c hair being bad quality hair/nappy hair because it is coarse. If it is so coarse, & tangly, then that is due to how THEY take care of it, not because of the hair itself. Matter of fact, I've had thick, long hair the majority of my life, whether it was relaxed or natural, and I've found my hair to be softer in it's natural state than it was relaxed. I've seen women who have 4b/4c hair that is beautiful, soft, easy to manage, great shine, etc because they know how to take care of and style it accordingly. It's the ignorance of not knowing, but once you do know, it's a game changer.
cubana4ever It's probably because natural curls are considered cuter than coils. Idk why. If you have 4A-D your hair's poppin for the Gods.
cubana4ever I was thinking the same thing. I was like "no she didnt". Some sisters still have that mind frame.
cubana4ever oh please
cubana4ever ..thank you for your comment i thought it was just me she was putting OUR type of people's hair down! i dont support it. she has beautiful hair. i was just like wow
I thought your natural hair was beautiful on its own.
All except her new growth is already texlaxed
Oh, I see.
schnauzer mom she doesn't think her hair isn't beautiful, she said it's hard to manage, and this makes it easier
schnauzer mom
Great video :)
I love it.
woman you have beautiful hair....you textlax your hair the way we color hair in Cosmo school....also you hide all that hair under your hair pieces half of those you wear is the same length but if you want variety of length and color and since you is a natural and don't put chemicals in they hair I say kudos to you cause I only put relaxers n nothing else
Shes not natural shes texlaxed
You are pretty this is my first time seeing your video
I tried texlaxed and messed up my hair...i think. So I have been transitioning for almost a year but I wanted to try a texlax. Now my roots are natural but then some of my hair is straight from the relaxer, then some of my hair is natural then the rest in relax. I made a big mistake and now my hair has a weird pattern. What should I do to fix it, just leave it and continue to transition??? Please help!!???
After 6 weeks my hair begins to break badly if I don't retouch. How do you manage for 7 months? You have a lot of hair
Can you do an update of your texlaxed hair please ?
you have beautifull natural hair love it
She's texlaxed
it's pretty I want To try
I’m confused so texlaxing and relaxing your hair are two different things?
I have the same comb lol yassss
So beautiful plsss do my hair😃
But I'd start in the crown of my head and move then do the back last my,my hair st the back has fine texture and soft ,it would get straight if I started there first.
I love your hair
Very informative video!!! Thx, love your hair!!
Beautiful
Do you still do this?
Super pretty
why didnt u try twisting your hair in about 6 sections then small rods on the ends?
My question is r u texturizing ur hair or r u relaxing ur hair? I ask cause I thought texturizing was for people to soften up ur kinks
Good quality hair u know
That intro is fire
very nice
I don't see that I have a choice .. I might have to texlax my hair because it is way too course!! I was hoping that i wouldn't have to do that, but my hair is worse tha 4c!
+Shauna Brown you seem to view your hair in a negative light. :( why is that? do you simply like the look of straight hair more?
+LittleBabyBug Jones .. Wow, Ummm, noooo .. I don't know how you came to that conclusion from what I said .. If I wanted to wear my hair straight I would relax my hair regularly. I need to textlax it so it's more MANAGEABLE, not STRAIGHT ..
Shauna Brown deep conditioning and making sure the hair stays moisturized and free from tangle-inducing conditions will suffice at least as much as a texturizer will.
I did and I love the MANAGEABILITY! smh I don't why ppl try to tell other ppl about their hair like you don't enough brains to deep condition, watch other youtubers, etc lol/smh
+Shauna Brown coarse
My hair isn't so course it is almost like her hair after she relaxed it but thinner and softer? what would happen if I put it on 🤔
May Anshur Depending on how long you leave it on it'd just become even thinner.
Hard to believe this is texlaxed hair but I like how ur watching urself on the screen as you apply it to the back
your makeup is bomb
The ends looks so dry and damaged
You should wear your natural hair straightened in a video!!!!!!! PLEASE
May m Not a natural no more ha ha ha ha
These types of videos I'd love to see more of. Wash routines, braid patterns under ur units etc.
"That good quality hair" 😂
#hairgoals I'm staring at this dreamily. Too gorgeous!! Having the best of both worlds is so cool.
Dont do it girl. I'm texlaxed now. yeah my hair is really long and big but its almost impossible to keep your hair a consistent texture (breakage).
Hmmmm...ikr.....must always be one step ahead of the hair and what it needs.
But of course, experience is the best teacher. I did enjoy my hair for 4 years, while texlaxing my hair. Now i would rather just have long natural hair, seeing that the different textures gets annoying. insta@LaNaturalLaura
htowngurlL
u
You have thick gorgeous head of hair.
Ur suppose to start off the scalp and work your way down then go back and add it to the scalp
Does it burn jus like a relaxer?
Ashley Harris less likey to when its diluted.
I would just be scared to add to the product
You run product the last 2 minutes before you wash it out
That the way i like it
“Good Quality Hair”. Hahahaha
The word "nappy" is just another self-hating hair word. Wow! And "Good quality hair", wow!
Not trying to be mean but I hope you got those ends cut... when your hair was straightened I could basically see through your hair in the back!
Honey you an’t use-any shamp
damnnn that's some thick ass hair
You are supposed to do the hairline last.
OMG you are so beautiful
I don't have the words
Made me a bit sad 😔You already addresses the good quality hair statement but also: it’s not about anyone “knowing” or not knowing if you did a relaxer or not. It’s about you-how you feel about your own hair and your health. It’s amazing to me how many women don’t know about the correlation between black “hair care” products and fibroids. There is a reason other cultures don’t have fibroids at the rate of Black women. I have 2a/2b hair so I’ve never been faced with with decision to do a relaxer but my children have 3c/4a hair. I just had to figure it out. I think when you weigh the pros and cons of a relaxer and when you know the truth (the cons go beyond increased hair breakage), using such a product is not an option. These are toxic chemicals. There are consequences.
Look guys, stop criticizing. If the girl wants to damage her already damaged hair, let it be sheeze
