Ohuhu Markers Vs Arteza Markers | Ohuhu Vs Arteza | Marker Review

- Trying these marker comparisons in short form for shorts! I briefly go over some similarities and differences between the Ohuhu classic Markers and the Arteza Everblend Art Markers while I color in this cute character I created! On the left is Arteza and on the right is Ohuhu! Let me know your thoughts on these quick versus, and tell me what you'd like to see next!
For highlights, I used a white Posca paint pen on both sides

The arteza blending and texture looks fantastic! But the ohuhu's look much more vibrant :'0
Plus ohuhu now has brush tips that are replaceable so it’s the winner for me

Fun art tip! You can buy less expensive markers and put the refills from other markers that are more expensive than them The pigment won’t change and you’ll have enough for several markers instead of just one
If you look at the the arteza and the ohuhu have VERY different ink colors
@@Helpful_Art_Tipswhat does your comment have to do with what they said? They’re talking about buying refills from expensive brands and use on the cheaper external marker to have an hybrid of a cheap marker with better and expensive brand’s refill. 😂
Color matching, let's say Copic, to Ohuhu OR Arteza may be difficult and cause you to lose time and money, though there might be some kind folks out there who have already tried this and made a chart for just such an endeavor.
just a small request: when you make videos like this, could you keep the final product on the screen for longer? i don't know if it's meant to encourage replays or something, but there's kind of no point to a final result if we don't actually get to see it.
I know right!? She asks us "what do you think?", but only shows us the finished picture in for like a single frame

Just spent a good 10 tries to pause it on the last frame 😅
If youre on a device that allows you to use the bottom "dot" to skip through the video while it is paused, you want to pause the video and go to 58 seconds into the video KEEP IT PAUSED and you can see the full image properly to compare. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT PRESS PLAY otherwise the video starts from the beginning!!
Are we supposed to just guess which side is which?
I usually can’t tell the difference in skin tones, but it’s very clear on this comparison.
The main problem with ohuhus is that they really don’t have too many lighter skin tones, especially for really cool or really warm undertones
@@The-one-and-only-Fruitcakethey are just highly saturated, but i struggle with mid tones in my ohuhu Honolulu sets. i don’t find light and undertones a struggle. maybe we have different colours, and together it would cover all colours?
@@OilRig-1 The Honolulu sets are the 320 sets, right? They should have the same colors
My skin is super light with a cool undertone so when i draw light skinned characters I tend to draw them with a cool undertone, and that’s hard to find in the set
I might try mixing my own color with the refills and a colorless blender
@@The-one-and-only-Fruitcake no honolulu is just their series of pens with saturated inks and stuff. I have a 48 set pretty sure and i can actually do light skin tones, but not dark.

Ohuhu are much better they might cost more but there blending is unfortunately and there colors stand out more over all if u blend and shade properly you'll have the best results ✌🏽😌 ohuhu stan I also drew a picture of mina with them and compared it to arteza and I gotta give it ohuhu

You should getting into art. It’s a great stress reliever (for the most part) and can be very fun. There’s many different mediums to try and experiment with and it’s just overall a good time. I think everyone can learn to be a good artist if they have the motivation

Beautiful work! Are these the new arteza markers with the new numbering system? I just for an ad for those and they are using a numbering system similar to copic. If you have them what do you think of them?
I saw that too! Very interesting. For this one I used the original set that they gave me to review. I haven't yet tried their new set and now im very curious if they changed their ink quality to be similar to the Copics. I did notice they changed their pricing so I imagine a lot may have changed with the markers as well.
@@lela.the.artist yes, they are about 3x the cost but sometimes they start the prices high and then discount once they get plenty of stock in I think. I honestly dont notice much difference e in Nike between all the brands except the spectrum noir seem squeaky and harder to blend. Other seems similar. I think they are putting the colors in a logical numbering system and that's cool.

I like the arteza, the every markers of ohuhu had diffrent blending mode, It sometimes so vibrant and tge others look muted..
I wish I could see the finished results for a longer amount of time at the end. Please make your videos like 2 seconds longer!

No matter what marker they always look amazing.
I definitely think they both did a very nice job with blending like you said. The Arteza has sharper edges between colors. The Ohuhu is more vibrant. Which ones you buy could be entirely dependent on you art style.

Exactly, i love ohuhu just cuz it's the best cheapest markers out there, I remember when ohuhus just came out and it wasn't really popular and I would recommend it to all my art friends haha cuz it's only like 20 bucks for 40 markers

Agreed. It kind of made me mad also, that anything besides COPIC, was called knockoff COPICS, or something similar, just because they aren't as popular and are a little cheaper. I remember a bunch of people referred to Ohuhu and some other brands as this when they were still starting off.
Not to mention, the sketch markers cost more than the regulars! I mean, don't get me wrong, COPIC is a good brand, but I would say Ohuhu tops both COPIC and chameleon.
Edit: Oh yeah, and while Ohuhu still doesn't have replaceable ink, it does have:
*Some markers can be bought separately.
*Replaceable nibs.
*Choice between Brush vs. Bullet nib (with bullet nibs being slightly cheaper).
*A range of colors almost as big as COPIC's (it's now 320, I believe, and I think COPIC's is somewhere around 358 -- but Ohuhu hasn't released the brush nib version yet [or at least, not here]).
*Other art supplies, including water based markers.
Seriously, what's not to love about Ohuhu?

Oooh yeah! I use those! I started with the 12 pack, then got 42 packs for my birthday and Christmas. Recently, I got the 96 set.

How do you draw that line so perfectly straight in the middle
Probably used a ruler and a very light pencil line that you can't see because of the overhead lighting. Also practice.
The vibrancy of Ohuhu is a yes, but Artezas blending is also very gorgeous

The fact you draw so well-
I absolutely love the vibrancy of the ohuhu, but it looks like it comes out really thick and its harder to get lighter tones when blending. It also looks a little messy. For that reason, I would go with the arteza as it looks crisper, and like it would be easier to layer

The fact that some markers blend or dont blend well for a main reason. They have their own uses but its also fun mixing them...

For me, there are no real winners in these. Both sides always come out amazingly. I think the only thing that sells these markers for me would be the prices.

I personally prefer the right side, as I think the blending looks smoother and the colours are more vibrant with better coverage.

These videos really help me decide on what alcohol markers i can/will work with! Before them i only really copics, wich are wayyyy too expensive, especially for beginners, and i always thought all others were crappy, but you showed me that there are really good alternatives

I love Arteza. They are my go-to for art. But instead of the normal markers, I get the watercolor markers. Have been using them for over a year. I love them.

I got some of both and I love both tbh. I prefered the skin tone set of arteza over ohuhu but ohuhu had a nice pastell colour set, that I prefer there. They also work really well together.
