I was today years old when I learned u need to put the colorless blender down first for it to work right
You and thousands of other people my friend
Tbh it wasn't that long ago I learned about it too 😅
Wait, you need to do that!?
WAIT WHAT
Well that explains a lot about my markers lol
Wait... people use the colourless blender?
You...you need....to put the colourless blender down...before blending?
*screeches and breaks my head through the table* MY LIFE HAS BEEN A LIE
EXACTLY!!
We love the pan flag
The chisel nib can solve that issue
I KNOW RIGHT
To be fair, when I've tested it, a colorless blender does not make a huge difference but I was using copics

I actually really like using ohuhu markers they are the thing I use the most in my artwork! hope you like them as well!
edit: I did not on purpose spell It wrong my autocorrect is just weird... anyways thanks for liking my post and correcting me!
*Ohuhu
I like them aswell, I have Ohuhu brushmarkers 48 color set and skin tones set (28 colors)! I have never tried copics, because They are way too expensive for me! But I am fine with ohuhu!
Ohuhu*
Can i ask? Which is worth better for coloring? Ohuhu or Copic markers?
@@rizuchingt2427 agree with fluff talk,, copic is better in terms of quality (as, well, it’s renowned for it & the colours) but if ur starting out u rlly don’t need copics... unless ur a professional artist that only wants the best, or u have a huge budget to spend on copics,, I’d recommend ohuhu! try watching drawingwiffwaffles or jazza’s video on markers, their vids helped me a lot! ^^ u could always do a combination, like buy a pack of ohuhu’s and buy a few copics if u rlly want some. ohuhu’s come quite close in quality! (i have a few copics but im buying a pack of ohuhus lol 🏃♀️)

Colorless blenders aren’t actually used for blending two markers their used for blending colors out or picking up color like when you color outside the lines

When you're too broke to have any alcohol markers and only use water based ones. Yes, sometimes even the cheap stuff can be the most useful even when you have money to buy the expensive stuff. Honestly, I prefer using cheap art supplies in general mostly to fill up sketchbooks, usually cheap coloured pencils, ball point pens and cheap markers. Again, you do you folks! Just saying you don't always need the most expensive stuff.
Haha same! I really like playing around with water based markers and other cheap supplies .
(I actually know a way to get a flat layer of color with them)
If you have a ross near where you live you can find alcohol markers therebfor 10 dollars.. I got a pack of 24 for 10 USD. They work pretty well too!
@@inkywhale8737 Oh really? Mind sharing the technique for flat layer of colour?
@@merakimoira4905 I'm not American, but usually craft stores here where I live have the expensive quality stuff mostly for professionals and then the regular cheap supplies intended for anyone really. And I mostly aim for cheaper stuff but occasionally go for like better quality supplies mostly for painting.
@@best_of_ant with crayola markers you can't really layer them or some parts that overlapped will get darker. You kind of have to work quickly and try not to overlap the colors. (hoped this helped I can try to make a vid on it )
Ah I love the Ohuhu markers! They’re really good for their price and I use them for all of my finished illustrations! My only complaint is the lack of pastel colors. Also, another wonderful video Oliver!!! So inspiring!
I actually think there's a pastel specific pack but I'm not sure ?
Ooh I’ll have to check that out!
Lol I’m getting the 120 pack and once I see them I’m going to get others like skin pastel and navy markers
I literally just bought the 72 pack over the weekend. I am in love. All my current copics are dried out and I'm waiting on the new refillable bottles. Also if you live in Hawaii, they give you a Hawaii version depending on what island you live on which is pretty cool. I am unsure of how they differ besides the barrels shapes and decor. Mine look the same as the regular versions but still pretty cool lol.
um... the Hawaii island names are the kinds of markers... like, the Oahu is bullet & chisel, and Honolulu is brush & chisel, Lanai is water-based and brush, Maui is also water based and brush & fineliner. Hope this helped even though it's been a year lol

Art dad was yelling at all of us to go to class. He'll be very proud to hear this
I've been using Ohuhu for a couple years now and they aren't perfect (ive bought up to 80 in 1 pack) but I think they're a good alternative to expensive markers like Copics (which I also have a couple of) for about 50 cents per marker they're wonderful

I love Ohuhu markers. This reminds me I reallt need new Ohuhu makers.😅
I just can't get over how your art is so amazing 🤩❤💖💗
I love the way you color, and your art style!
the reason you’ll find (for example) a re in the yellows is because of the way the markers are mixed. the reds you find in the yellows most likely mixed with a yellow base. i believe that’s how that works
I’m so happy you’re using Ohuhu makers!! I use these on the daily, I have the 200 pack too💖

Pain rn cos i wanna watch this while doing hw but i have to wait 65 minutes 💔
As an Ohuhu marker user, I was nervous to watch this but I'm glad you think they are nice!!
I wish I had some. I love your videos so much!💕
This isn't related to the video but I've just realized that he's almost at 100K! That's so awesome because I remember first finding his Fairy Tail fan art on Instagram then coming to his youtube at only 15K. So I kinda just want to congratulate Oliver for coming so far on youtube and I wish for happy days in his future! ☺️
I personally use the Ohuhu brush markers a lot- happen to own the skin tone set and a small set.
They do bleed a lot- but the blending capability is pretty good! I find myself blending with the chisel more than the brush though, oddly enough.
Awesome video Oliver!!!!
I bought the 120 brush nib/ chisel nib marker set (and the 24 pack of extra skin tones) I love them. I bought a cheap coloring book to get the hang of how they work. They are my primary set.
Hey I just discovered your channel on my recommendations and your art is amazing 😅😊
16:00 when I heard “oh robin “ all I could think was
Red Robin YUMMMMMM
The only alcohol markers I have are from the 48 set of Ohuhus, ( they come with a brush nib), and while I do wish to have more colors, you can definitely make good art with that amount of markers, so if you don’t want to get so many, not as many markers won’t stop you from making good art.
P.S Sorry for any spelling or grammar mistakes I feel like there are a few.
Love ur vids and art Oliver hope you have a good day
This has nothing to do with the video but during the live stream Ghool was nice enough to tell Joli I said you should make merch saying, "I will eat you." However she read it as, "Tell Oliver I'll eat your shirt" and I think that's beautiful. 😂😂

I forgot it was Wednesday, but then I got the notif and was like TwT yes, Oliver day
I was watching this and didn’t notice till the end it was posted this November. I could’ve sworn that I saw this video like a few months ago maybe even a year because I remembered the skin joke and the stain on the desk. I stopped watching half way but only because I felt like I knew what was happening. Some serious deja vu 🤯🤯
I've also seen drawing with waffles using okuku markers and the result are really good!
Bought the two hundred pack yesterday, they're arriving next Thursday! This gave me high hopes for my new markers
Appreciate you taking the time...I believe your opinion. 😎
I love it you made me laugh in this video and I hope I get copic markers because they seem cool
Holy cow!! You color clothes so amazing!! Do you have a tutorial? If you don’t would you make one?
I have one up on my channel currently! I have a playlist of tutorials, and I'll probably make another one going more in depth about clothing. If you wanna learn about the basics, then check it out!
For Ohuhus, I have the 320 set of Bullet/Chisel and the 216 set of bullet/brush, plus the 5-pack of colorless blenders, and in the waterbase markers, I have the 120 color set, and the hair & skintone set. I also invest heavily in there sketchbooks are amazing, they even come with a silicone sheet to put between the pages to cut down on bleed through. And I buy both there White & there cream colored paper buy the ream.
I love that plastic sheet it has come in handy soooooooo much for me
omg she helped me so much think am going to buy them now
Omg you have the pack of 200 it is a dream ✨💕
18:03 I felt that. The panick in your voice. One of every artist’s worst fears😂
I find I love to use water color paper with ohuhu markers and watercolor with the markers. I like to color with the markers and then use watercolor to shade and highlight. I recommend trying it!
I love ohuhu markers. I use them in my professional art as well as recommend them to the parents of my teenage students. They have beautiful ink! I catch myself using them more than my copics
Actually I quite like the fluorescent colours 'cause they work really nice for a rimlighting effect.
I love them so much, my first alcohol based markers (I am saving for Copics now). Will say, I started with the 48 set, got the skin tone, and plan to get the gray tones. I want to get copics (all of them) in the future, but right now I like my ohuhus and they're more reasonable for birthday gifts
Great video so far
Be aware, using these markers on any sort of paper other than smooth finish will cause a really grainy separation that is especially noticeable when you blend.
Oh this is the first video I have seen n I really like the style so imma follow
Just got the new Ohuhu pastel markers. Fills in the missing soft colors nicely!
I’m getting the 200 color pack, I’m so excited to use them when they get here!!!
I bought this set awhile ago and ever since the 200 pack of brush nibs came out I’ve wanted to get it so I could have both sets on either side of my art desk but i did just buy the pastels set so like that’s cool
I love the ohuhu brush markers
I’m getting ohuhu markers for Christmas! My parents ordered them for me today :”3,
I got the 160 pack and now that I think about it...I’ll have quite the variety-
my guinea pigs say hiya
also after finishing the video is it just me or is Robin's eye not colored? Love the art! :P
And now theres a whole set of pastel ohuhu brushmarkers that aren't in the regular sets (since you were talking about this set lacking lighter colours)
That was really helpful, thank you. I am new to all this and a pensioner so cannot afford to waste money. But I bought Jemique thinking (because of reviews) that they were good. Unfortunately for me and because I'm new to this, I did not realise that the ink went through numerous pages making them useless. What inks with what paper would you recommend please as I am trying to make cards??
What kind of bag do you use in the beginning to hold your markers and art supplies? Also I like your pins >w
Tysm for this
Gosh dangit modules! Why did you make me miss this!!
They have a 120 brush nib and a 48 pastel brush nib that doesn't duplicate. I also think their skin tone set is not duplicated, so you come very close to the 200 set with the combination of these three. But the brush markers are about $1 each, so a little more expensive. But I love the Ohuhu brush markers, and the chisel/bullet are okay too.
I love how you scold your dog 😂💕
I just got my Ohuhu markers! I didn’t use them yet cuz I’m so excited but I did the
Swatches they felt very good and I really liked the colors for only 30 dollars for a 60 pack nice case that comes with it there great quality I really like the marker design I think they’re totally worth it I would really recommend them!! :D

I just found a new way of using the colourless blender lol. I usually put both colours down, add a bit of colourless blender then layer each of them together until the mix
Edit: They have a pastel set now! :D
Yes, Ohuhu has a very nice set of Black Liners, AND a set of Black Calligraphy pens. There very lovely!
I bought the 120 set which does have a brush nib, and a chisel nib on the opposite side.
I’m getting ohuhu markers for Christmas I’m so excited
i know the feeling of making characters that happen to look like characters you don't even know about.
I made a character named Gus and he has short spikey hair, a scar on one eye, a cloak that covers his prosthetic arm and leg, and a bigass sword he carries around.
and my friend was like "yo is he supposed to be a Guts from Berserk reference?"
and that's the story of how i learned about Guts from Berserk.
How did I miss this.....
I'm hopefully getting them for Christmas
They have brush tips now I’d recommend doing a review of the brush nibs
