I’ve watched several of your videos while researching what kind of diet built for weight loss and muscle sustainability. I ultimately ended up with white rice, chicken, broccoli and spinach. Every once in a while I’ll do a beef patty and fish such as salmon(when I’m craving more fat) or cod. At first it was difficult and getting the meal prep down was not easy. I’ve been at it for almost 2 months. I feel great, I look better and I’ve lost about 30lbs and it’s become easy. I have a routine now, I know what’s I’m buy and when I need to buy it, I know how much I’m spending. It’s awesome, thank you for your help.
These are hard to do obviously but my favorites are when Evan would go to different markets around the world and talk about different foods and spices of different cultures.
The point of using foods that are primarily one macronutrient is so smart. Everyone knows the “chicken broccoli and rice” but Evan, you really explained the purpose of the dieting lifestyle here. Really great video
Speaking from years of personal experience, this is 100% spot on!! Similar to Stan Efferding's "Vertical Diet". Don't focus on foods that you like, instead consume foods that "like you". Meaning, foods that you enjoy and digest easily. And these foods become your breakfast, lunch and dinner (hence the "vertical" as opposed to a wide spectrum of foods). Thank you for another great video!🙏
This was cool. I never thought about focusing one each individual food representing 1 macro. Definitely sounds so much simpler when counting macros. This way provides so much more control. Thank you!
using food that predominantly fit into one macro is a perfect explanation. You will eventually wind up using chicken, rice and oils. And it is WAAAY easier to control the macro adjustments when your trainer makes tweaks to ur diet. super simple that way. perfect explanation.
Bring back an entire new series of nutrition + super supps series ...good to see u Evan ...today's social media is full of clowns ...thankfully you are still active
Big respect to how Evan always make his videos without ever making the video about what he’s advertising and almost saying they’re not necessary. Makes me way more interested in the products themselves as I see need for them and don’t just dismiss them as scammy
This is bodybuilding 101 and Evan has a PhD. He has walked the walk, now talking the talk. This information is like gold. Those who walk this walk will be wearing gold on their chest in the future.
I finally figured this out recently and Evan is 100% right. Staying on track comes down to reducing variability as much as possible and staying on track is where all the gains are made. 👍👍
@@tonyh9432 in my honest opinion it depends on the person. Going heavy taxes my recovery too much when I'm on a diet so I go moderate weight and reps and stay 2 reps away from failure if I can help myself.
A nice diplomatic talk to help us help ourselves - managing health can be similar to looking after our money making good choices along the way in a self disciplined approach to be on the right side.
I've been training for 7 years and this is the first time I've diet on fish for 2 weeks straight. Costco got frozen cod fish, wild caught in perfect portions cut and packaged for each meal. Give it a try.
This is solid advice. With todays food prices, I’ve sacrificed variety for simplicity. You will save a ton of money while seeing amazing progress. what’s not to love about that.
Thanks for yet another awesome video and trustworthy information. In addition I’d be interesting know how would you suggest calculating macros for summer - if say you consume N calories in winter - X carbs, Y protein and Z fats for summer lower carbs by 30%, proteins keep the same and lower fats by like 10% or whatever you would suggest and why - something simple to follow and incorporate for non-pros and beginners 🙏🏻
Love being simple. When I want to cut, I also use lean fish like tilapia, potatoes, bananas and blue berries as carbs, and my fat is avocado or olive oil. When Im maintaining or bulking, thats when I add more sources of fatty proteins, also oatmeal and nuts/PB/nut butters for fats and proteins.
I mean, as soon as I see Evan doing a food/diet tutorial video im watching it regardless but this one in particular i really like because for most of it he says something like 'make adjustments' and follows it up with 'what do i mean make adjustments' then answers it perfectly, its very very simple, easy to understand and gives you all the information you could want! Brilliant.
Wow, you are so down to earth. I learned so much from watching this video. Now if you could help me to decide how to make a chart for upper and lower weights in the gym and how to progress, that would be all I need. Thanks for sharing this info.! :)
Great information here as always 🙏 much appreciated The monotony of bodybuilding with diet has helped me mentally and physically over the years ive monitored myself. It's also driven me bat shit crazy at times 😂 Awesome content 👌
I hope you have equity in Animal, Evan. That company is shit without you. Greatly appreciate all your content, sincerity, and advice for all these years.
When dieting, food volume often deceases and the buddy is operating in a deficit. Essentially the body is under stress and whatever that's the case, adequate micronutrient intake is that much more important and deficiency that much more felt.
Thanks for this video Evan, I met you nearly a decade ago in England :) I might do an analysis of this video. I'm glad your nutritional understanding has improved a lot since then. The focus on health is much better! Cheers 💪🏼
Great advice as always Evan thanks for keeping it real and clearing the mess of misinformation and fad diets out there. Keep up the good fight and Stay strong. Best rgds Si
What have you done to downsize after retiring Evan ? Was it food consumption ....... supplement consumption..... training frequency ? Out of curiosity what have you lost in terms of weight ?
Hi, I really enjoyed this video. Thankyou for helping us get started with our goals. I was wondering if you can swap out chicken for the fish. Everything else is fine but fish isnt a big go to food for us :(.
I’m Indian, and I eat mostly vegetarian, I can’t do low carb, practical and physical reasons and doing what you stated about single macro sources is so hard in vegetarian diet. But i find it easier to focus on calories
the only thing am not clued up on is my diet and you have just made it sounds so much straight forward just watching this video on you tube on telly now while replying on my fone lol wats best salmon or white fish ?
is there any feedback on, non- professional bodying building (pro) advise? the average person getting back into working out trying to trim down gain muscle. ? a lot is mass calories multiple meals.
My body is at that point where you can tell I go to the gym, but also don't say no to a good dessert. Ever. I want to change that. So I will follow your advice here.
My comment for Animal suggestions: I would like to see the clothing apparel store online fully stocked with larger sizes...its been out of stock for quite some time.
Greetings Evan, how do you feel about boneless skinless chicken thighs if you are on a budget? Im 6'5' 380 lbs , I'm currently consuming 223 grams of protein,306 grams of carbs, and 76 grams of healthy fats over 5 meals my goal is a athletic strong 200 lbs. (The chicken is grilled of course) Thanks
This is a smart strategy for pure aesthetics, it's practically genius. The issue I'd have with sticking with so few foods though (I think he mentioned a specific 5) is you'd be sadly deficient in micronutrients and especially phytonutrients. The approach in a broader sense could work because fruit and vegetables are great sources of both, and mostly sources of carbohydrates coming from either starch and/or sugar and fiber, but you'd have to be including a wide variety of both fruits and veggies to not be phyto and micronutrient deficient.
this episode was very helpful overall stick with a pure carb a pure protein and a pure fat that was awesome and when cutting stay away from the cottage cheese disease TY
Started Animal Pak and liver enzymes went through the roof. Stopped and went back to a daily multivitamin and back to normal. Love the educational videos, but get bloodwork done often when starting any new eating regimens and supplements
the only thing am not clued up on is my diet and you have just made it sounds so much straight forward just watching this video on you tube on telly now while replying on my fone lol

My right ear really enjoyed this video
🤣
Dude I thought it was just me I was tripping so hard
I only have my left airpod in. I was wondering what the hell was going on 😂😂
How did that happen?
Nutrition and recipe/cooking videos are my favorite that Evan brings. That’s what I would want to see more of
Same bro
You're right guys, same for me. Next time Evan will teach us how to make Tiramisu' :D
These are hard to do obviously but my favorites are when Evan would go to different markets around the world and talk about different foods and spices of different cultures.
I'm done dieting I have videos of exactly what I did
Agree 100%
The point of using foods that are primarily one macronutrient is so smart. Everyone knows the “chicken broccoli and rice” but Evan, you really explained the purpose of the dieting lifestyle here. Really great video
Thank you sir 🙏
To be honest, when it comes to health and nutrition Evan is always great to hear from
lmao you shouldn't listen to anything coming from this guy when it comes to health. he's overweight and eats way too much food.
Speaking from years of personal experience, this is 100% spot on!! Similar to Stan Efferding's "Vertical Diet". Don't focus on foods that you like, instead consume foods that "like you". It's always a pleasure to hear Evan talking about nutrition. Big hug from Brazil.
Evan makes it simple and yet effective. Love his advices that he shares, Keep 'em coming !
This was cool. I never thought about focusing one each individual food representing 1 macro. Definitely sounds so much simpler when counting macros. This way provides so much more control. Thank you!
So much easier!!
Your knowledge and no BS information is gold. Always a pleasure to listening to you 🤘
Evan is the GOAT. Literally no one is better when it comes to nutrition or making nutrition content.
Tanner!!! Thank you bro 🙏
using food that predominantly fit into one macro is a perfect explanation. You will eventually wind up using chicken, rice and oils. And it is WAAAY easier to control the macro adjustments when your trainer makes tweaks to ur diet. super simple that way. perfect explanation.
Eat high volume but low calories foods. Best way to lose weight.
Bring back an entire new series of nutrition + super supps series ...good to see u Evan ...today's social media is full of clowns ...thankfully you are still active
Thanks a lot man 🙏
Evan is a great BB ambassador. He's 100% sincere. Thank you, Evan.
I can listen to him talk for hours.
Definitely nutritional advice, carb cycling, workout splits, things like that are great and helpful
Big respect to how Evan always make his videos without ever making the video about what he’s advertising and almost saying they’re not necessary. Makes me way more interested in the products themselves as I see need for them and don’t just dismiss them as scammy
So many languages and you chose to speak the truth 🔥
LOL 🙏
Love these Evan
Thank you
One of my fave bb'ers, always appreciate the knowledge he provides
This is bodybuilding 101 and Evan has a PhD. He has walked the walk, now talking the talk. This information is like gold. Those who walk this walk will be wearing gold on their chest in the future.
I finally figured this out recently and Evan is 100% right. Staying on track comes down to reducing variability as much as possible and staying on track is where all the gains are made. 👍👍
Id like to try this diet to lose fat but what kind of workouts? heavy strength or light + more reps
@@tonyh9432 in my honest opinion it depends on the person. Going heavy taxes my recovery too much when I'm on a diet so I go moderate weight and reps and stay 2 reps away from failure if I can help myself.
I really like Evan’s videos on grocery shopping and cooking!
Great content from favorite bodybuilder and best brand ! Keep it up 👍💪
Simplicity 🏆 this is my style. Thank you
I loved the big on a budget videos
A nice diplomatic talk to help us help ourselves -
managing health can be similar to looking after our money making good choices along the way in a self disciplined approach to be on the right side.
Excellent advice. Bite down, suck it up and embrace it. I'm simplifying.
This was super informative and straight forward. Thank you !!
Every time I have doubts with my diet, I come back to watch this video

Thanks For Sharing.
Wow very interesting - I never heard it put so simply .. Thank you 👍
This is AWESOME nsd exactly what I have been looking for!!!
This video was the best explanation to diet and to look good for summer.
Love this information Jonathan and Anne!
I love this guy he's always keeping it real
Simple. Makes a lot of sense. Thanks!!
Very nice advice. Back to basics. Sometimes we tend to forget about the basic concept. Keep it simple. Thanks.
Evan is still very relevant and informative. Very underrated
Imagine this wasn’t a thing 40 years ago for the average guy. Only competitive bodybuilders!
Madness !!!
Excellent video. Thank you. 👍
This is great advice. I’m almost embarrassed that I’ve never looked at it this way.
i like to see more meal preparation vids plus basement workouts tbh!
Wow, you are so down to earth. I learned so much from watching this video. Now if you could help me to decide how to make a chart for upper and lower weights in the gym and how to progress, that would be all I need. Thanks for sharing this info.! :)

I hope you have equity in Animal, Evan. That company is shit without you. Greatly appreciate all your content, sincerity, and advice for all these years.
Thank you!
Spot on this is the key to a weight training diet 👌🏼🇬🇧
I always enjoy your Videos.
Can you elaborate more on the importance of micronutrients when dieting for fat loss?
When dieting, food volume often deceases and the buddy is operating in a deficit. Essentially the body is under stress and whatever that's the case, adequate micronutrient intake is that much more important and deficiency that much more felt.
A que te refieres evan? Puedo comer mucho pero bien y limpio?
Avena, claras de huevo, arroz y pollo. Pescado y vegetales pero mucho?
Day in the life videos would be cool.
More home cooking videos for dishes that fulfil your macros would be great, keep in mind that your personality is part of the brand etc
Great information overall!! Nice
What have you done to downsize after retiring Evan ? Was it food consumption ....... supplement consumption..... training frequency ? Out of curiosity what have you lost in terms of weight ?
Thanks for the video, I’m going to grab some single macro foods
Hi, I really enjoyed this video. Thankyou for helping us get started with our goals. I was wondering if you can swap out chicken for the fish. Everything else is fine but fish isnt a big go to food for us :(.
Any tips on vegetarian protein sources ? Single ingredient.

I want to change that. So I will follow your advice here.
Hey Evan, so great to see your videos. What deserts do you eat that’s low carb and good for body building?
More evan centaponi training videos
1. Ground turkey
2. Cod
3. White rice
4. Broccoli
5. Grapefruit
6. Olive oil
Very motivational!
i want to see more vids of you and Frank Mcgrath!!!!
My comment for Animal suggestions: I would like to see the clothing apparel store online fully stocked with larger sizes...its been out of stock for quite some time.
for people who want more food volume, consume olives instead of olive oil. not only are you gaining food quantity, you are also getting in more fiber.
Great video
love the kitchen design
Great advice
Greetings Evan, how do you feel about boneless skinless chicken thighs if you are on a budget? Im 6'5' 380 lbs , I'm currently consuming 223 grams of protein,306 grams of carbs, and 76 grams of healthy fats over 5 meals my goal is a athletic strong 200 lbs. (The chicken is grilled of course) Thanks
This guys biceps are insane😮👏❤
You Sir are a Legend .
How you stay on track while on vacation? Or full day of eating while on vacation
This is the most common sense response I’ve heard… flexible dieting definitely gets me in trouble
I think for some people it really works and for others, it makes it more difficult. Hey, whatever works!
This is a smart strategy for pure aesthetics, it's practically genius. The issue I'd have with sticking with so few foods though (I think he mentioned a specific 5) is you'd be sadly deficient in micronutrients and especially phytonutrients. That's why he is promoting his supplement line. Animal multivitamin-mineral tablets.😊
Please do meal prep for women
this episode was very helpful overall stick with a pure carb a pure protein and a pure fat that was awesome and when cutting stay away from the cottage cheese disease TY
Id like to try this diet to lose fat but what kind of workouts? heavy strength or light + more reps
When knowladge and experience get together 🔥
Started Animal Pak and liver enzymes went through the roof. Stopped and went back to a daily multivitamin and back to normal. Love the educational videos, but get bloodwork done often when starting any new eating regimens and supplements
That tank-top suits you perfectly !❤
