One of Henry's best-kept secrets is the H001Y. I got one to keep my Golden Boy out of the weather and it gets the lion's share of the work by a mile. It loves everything I feed it from Colibris to Stingers. The smaller stock and barrel just make it so handy. I'm still impressed with it after several years.

@@ZachMalkemus-x5f Absolutely. Check out their website. They have a few very large caliber lever actions to put down the largest grizzlies etc.. in fairly close quarters. But to be honest a 30-30 will stop almost anything with a fairly good shot placement within 75 yards.

Just picked up a 45-70 side loader. There is recall on the firing pin on 45-70 models made between December 14th to January 11th 2023. The rifle can inadvertently fire if lowering a cocked hammer on a live round. Henry made me aware of this and is offering a $50 merchandise gift card for our inconvenience. Beautiful rifles. I’d like to get an American Beauty model for the wife.
I was informed of the recall on about 3/3, they sent me a box which took a week or so, they received the rifle on 3/22, on 3/24 they informed me that it was on the way back to me, the repaired 45-70 is scheduled to arrive back in 4 days. Less than a month from the time they notified me. Not too bad I would say. I ordered the H011C today.
I've been drooling over that very gun (in brass) for a long time. Good on Henry for fixing things quick and making it easy for you. Sometimes in mass production these things can happen, but at least they owned up to it.
I have a Henry in 22LR, 44mag, 30-30 and 357mag. They all are good shooters. The 30-30 and 44mag have accounted for a slew of wild hogs on my place in South Texas. We have more hogs than you can imagine so we eat them and keep the freezer full. The 357 is fine for a secondary home defense rifle. The 22LR is excellent for small game. I do not regret buying any of these guns. Also, Henry stands behind everything they sell. If you have an issue, the WILL make it right, no problem. I know this first hand and appreciate that quality a ton. Whichever Henry you buy, you will like it. It will shoot. Feed it what it likes in ammo brand and then buy a lot of it and you cannot go wrong.
My son got his eagle scout his grand got him a henry eagle scout 22 eagle scout commemorative for all his work. So happy henry likes Appreciates the scouts and Eagle Scouts. Thank you.
My retirement gift was a Henry Big Boy in .44 Magnum. It sits on the wall above my fireplace and has never been fired in 4 years of collecting dust. A friend came over and got me all excited about bringing it to a rifle range so we can fire it. The rifle has a tubular loading scheme. My dad's old 30-30 lever action had a side loading gate which I fired as a kid. Does anyone know if the .44 Magnum Big Boy with brass receiver can be modified at the factory to have a loading gate that can be retrofitted? That would be a real improvement for me. Just sitting on the couch drinking my morning coffee and looking at that rifle reminds me of how nice it is to be retired. It's far better than a gold watch. The rifle fit and finish is a true work of art.
I retired about eleven months ago and one of my son's and I saw the 45-70 government model with the 22 inch octagon barrel. He bought it. Money well spent.
Same with me in 41 mag. might shoot it some day, shoot my 22 lr. Henry & 357 Rossi S.S. and 37 other guns. Enjoy the view of your 44, thats how we roll, we earned the right !
Henry makes all their models now with either a brass or steel receiver with and without the side loading gate, the side gate models just came out in 2021 I think.
I own both a Big Boy Steel and Big Boy Classic in 44mag. Unless you are cowboy action shooting- you will not miss the side gate. I have grown to appreciate the fast loading/unloading of the tube feed and not having to continuously rack/wear on the gun to unload it after a day of hunting.
Agreed. The case hardened 20in .44 lever action rifle is sold out the most. I was lucky to snag a .357 to pair with my revolver but wouldn't mind having the .44. Now if only Henry would sell their revolvers in CA as they are not on the CA roster 🙁
I recently bought a 44 magnum big boy and I love it. I also bought a 1894 30-30 win in pristine condition at a gold exchange store and it still works. I absolutely love it. It needed some oil though and from the load mechanism it hasnt been fired many times because, it was tight. I got lucky with that gun.
I love lever-action rifles and have shot them for 50+ years (Winchester and Henry). Decent video, but sad there was no mention of any of the models in a 30-30. do they make lever- action in.45 win mag
Problem is, you can't find any new Henry's. My dealer has been searching for a long time on the different ones I want. Inventory is still to low.
I saw two at the Lake City, Fl, Walmart last week. 22 and a 45-70.
Would it ba sacralidge to turn it into a mares leg?
hello. Is there a 45 Cal pistol? to shoot the same as the riffle?
yes
I think the decimal point is in the wrong place when referring to the weight.
Which movie did you put in the video? In minute 7:34
I believe that is " The magnificent seven". Lots of great actors, Denzel Washington is one of the main actors.
The Henry .22 does NOT weigh 51.4 pounds as described in this video at 11:05 into it. I'm sure they meant to say 51.4 ounces or about 8.4 pounds.
Have two and have been looking for two other models I want to get. Been looking for two years and I’ve given up. Moving on.
Very easy to find Henry fire arms I have bought 4 in the past 5 months. Just have your dealer contact Henry or contact Anthony at Henry. I contacted Anthony at Henry and told him I was looking for a x model in 357 and he made Shure I got 1 to my dealer.
@@jreed10291974 I could’ve bought four in the past five months, too. Could probably buy four, today. Point is I can’t get the two models I want. Have called Henry, also.
My small town Ace hardware has at least 3 Henry rifles on the shelf
@@gumecindogarcia1070 Do they have the two models I’m looking for?
@@the1bulldurham, without knowing which two you require, I would say any Henry dealer could get them for you. But if you are looking for the 45-70 that is $400.00. That one would be hard to find.
In this video explanationof henery rifles, the first one speaks of the legendary .22cal with over 1 million sold, THEN it states that the .22rifle weighs 51 lbs. Got to be a typo and narative blooper. Go ahead and check it out. Please correct that.
I wish I could buy a Henry Rifle but unfortunately I live in the UK.
Why couldn't you purchase a Henry? I just saw an on line ad for a Henry H001 for sale in Nottingham. I'm not aware that lever action rifles are banned in the UK.
I OWN 4 GOLDEN BOYS 22LR ,22 MAG ,17 HMR, 45-70 THE BEST LEVER ACTION RIFLES EVER MADE, .
@2:40~ Henry .22 cal. lever-action: "It weighs 15.4 pounds" (Or was that 50.4?) Sure it does. If you buy several, maybe.
What happened to the 30 30 Winchester long barrel
The 30 30 should be included
how can i buy this amazing gun
Nice 22 but at over 51 lbs it's a little on the heavy side for me.
My Henry 22 golden boy weighs 5.3 pounds so I'm thinking its an error in editing!!
it was an error
@@timwalsh715
I do not know for sure myself but I can not imagine a 22 being 52 lbs! That has to be an error!
Respectfully, no Henry rifle weighs 51.4 pounds... Especially not the .22s.

Disculpe donde los venden
How much is the 22 magnum 22 rifle?
Henry needs to put more All Weathers into production.
Do they make a 30.06 model?
Where can you find 44-40 ammo?
The 22 weights 51.4 pounds ? That is one solid gun. @ 2:45
