Wish dogtown was even 10% of how dangerous they made it out to be we literally had 0 reason to go back after finishing the gigs and side missions as well
It makes sense Dogtown would be an invasion point for the rogue AI. Hansen likely doesn't allow Netwatch to operate there.
Good point!
I have a weird feeling that Hansen doesn't trust anyone but himself so he wouldn't trust Netwatch to not screw him over.
@@relaxedswede I think this is a factor. I also think sitting on top of the old Project Cynosure facilities that cracked into the Blackwall decades ago gives the AIs a shortcut to invade as well.
Kurt Hansen: Don't want to pay taxes? Dogtown is the place for YOU.
Also Kurt Hansen: Shopkeepers, I'm expecting rent paid in full by the end of the month. This ain't no charity.
The answer to pretty much all the “did you miss the hidden plot in …” questions for me is “yes”
Cynosure facility wasn't small, probably covering half of Dogtown. And same as that ingeneer working near facility on maintenance and going paranoild from it, it's now slowly invading residents above. Simply presence of blackwall making weak minds go psychotic.
I hear ya!
Also it doesn't help that there are so many drug addicts in Dogtown who love that Black Lace and Glitter. These drugs probably weaken their minds so the Rogue AIs don't even need to struggle if they want to take over these minds.

Cool that you replied. But i don't think that AI's will take over people's bodies, it needs more then that. Situation with Peralezes had to be dealt directly with influencing brain waves. I think what that looming presence of Cynosure does - is preparing their new human puppets like secret agents for something. Could be some kind of help for destructive invasion from beyond the Blackwall that will kill every person in the world, or more delicate with posessing bodies. That is all i could think of.
'after spending 4 weeks walking around Dogtown'
And I'm still alive! That's not an easy thing to do
Word lol
Dog town is dope
The graffiti is in the base game as well, similar writings like at the beginning right next to where you sit with Jackie after the police brutality it says "I did not write this". There are theories that V has been altered by the Techno Necromancers since before the heist took off(specifically when they plugged into Sandra Dorssett's biomonitor, some people think V never cleared the neurovirus and this is the moment they started being mind controlled).
"..after the police brutality" is a craazy description XD
But very accurate.
Hmm yeah, I've heard that theory. On one hand I feel like it would be interesting but on the other hand...if V was being mind-controlled during the game by some secret third party then none of the choices we made matter. I don't know how I feel about that ngl
@@relaxedswede the choices V makes DO matter though! They just won't matter for V because they're either dead or incapacitated by the time they made it. Just because V is being gaslit, mind controlled and manipulated doesn't mean their choices are unimportant. Johnny is quite literally doing that same thing but because we get to see and speak to him, it feels somehow less insidious.
@@relaxedswede V is being controlled. By the player or as Garry calls them, the Alpha Centaruians.
Dogtown! My favorite place!
Since the expansion came out, I've been hanging around there all the time.
Biz is booming in Dogtown
What I personally would have liked in this video is more insight into who Mr. Hands really is or could be.
My first point, on the discussion between the two guys @ 5:12. There's a shard with a convo between Ayo Zarin and Dodger where it is seen that Hansen needs 12 VDB netrunners to ensure the digital security of his Black Sapphire parties. Clearly these two guys are VDB, providing digital security at a Black Sapphire party. So, why would Hansen have VDB collect taxes for himself? Or those two are just skimming something off the top to themselves? Second point: rent is not taxes. Rent is something that has a more or less fixed value. Taxes are based on how much one's earning - that is to say, they adjust with your income. In NC proper, you pay rent, you pay taxes, you also pay the bills. In Dogtown, you pay the rent. I'll stay with monsieur Colonel on this one, he's not lying about taxes. But I would be shocked if a warlord/politician would be completely honest, eschewing century-old advice by signor Macchiavelli. Thirdly: 'rogue' AIs are all over the place in the game. Mr. Blue Eyes is thought to be a rogue AI. The whole Peralez business seems to be driven by rogue AIs. Chimera was 'infected' with a rogue AI. Songbird too. The robot hunting you in the Cynosure facility - yeah. This is also relevant to your last video regarding Netwatch and their lies: I'm pretty sure they didn't lie when they said that the Blackwall is full of holes, how else would all these rogue AI cross to the 'safe' part of the net (the holes being either Blackwall being unable to stop these AIs from entering or not caring or purposefully allowing them passage)? Maybe Mosley lied and exaggerated when he put all this at the feet of VDB but surely he did that to simply convince V to jump on his bandwagon in a moment of great tension. Lastly, Arasaka buying Militech technology? Commendable on CDPR's part for fleshing out scenes of industrial espionage but I find it hard to believe that Hansen arms Arasaka with Militech materiel.
Solid points all!
Why does Jago sound like the singing gummy bear
Lol i was so confused when i saw he or she, i thought it was someones grandma
that intro tho 😍
Hey lets talk about the Cynosure AI is red and Mr Blue Eyes AI seems to be blue
Mr Blue Eyes when it's time for karaoke at Night Corp's corporate after-work:

love your cyberpunk videos bro
Thank you! I appreciate that
I'm on my second play thru luv this game. This run thru I decided to help Reed man that underground bunker for cynosure was like playing resident evil almost lol worth it tho I got both the weapon and the mk thing but with this 2.0 cant make both I crafted the weapon and its awesome game wasnt long enough ❤❤❤
Always feels bad betraying Songbird but Cynosure is so well-made and has a bunch of secrets. Worth playing it at least once 😁
@@relaxedswede Yes your right my first play I did streekid and I was learning the game did alot of looting stayed on the good kid aspect had no idea about the cynosure until now I'm playing Corpo this time around lots of stealth less killing fixers respond different next ill do nomad
7:41 isnt that a reference to legion (aka the geth) in mass effect 2?
Honestly, that's possible.
The way I viewed this NPC's words is perhaps a hint at the origin of that sentence.
Cyberpunk kind of loves religion and stuff so ofc they added this.
"My name is Legion, for there are many of us" is from the New Testament in the bible. A demon tells Jesus this. It's meant to signify many evil entities working as one to achieve their goal.
The most likely suspect in Cyberpunk 2077 is Rogue AIs (my theory as of today).
I think that Alt is a prime example of many entities integrated under one voice, like Legion in the Christian stories. I think it’s also interesting that Alt is a poetry-quoting collective AI, but still has Blackwall-like powers that she unleashes on the Voodoo boys as one path. One of the more terrifying things about the AI entities in the game is how they have a grasp on our deepest symbols, in the realm of the mythopoetic.
@@ThomasCallahan Because they are not AI they are demons Maximum Mike confirms it in one of his brodcasts on morro rock radio.
@@Danickas0 I know that's Mike Pondsmith, but I don't think everything his character says in game is considered cannon.
@@Danickas0do you believe everything J Jonah Jameson says on the radio about Spiderman in the games too?
rent-fees-taxes... outcome is the same, same shit just a different color if u excuse my expressions.
I completely agree. The effects on the people of Dogtown is the same no matter what they call it
That's not true )) For example, absolutely all the rippers in Dogtown tell V that it's much easier and cheaper to do business with Hansen than in Night City. Just say replay V's dialog with Farida, in the beginning, when he asks her what she's doing in DT.
😶🌫️ me who just walked away from dogtown gate cause I didnt like SO MIs first call and I was really septic about it so I just walked away from whole dlc accidentally.
That is also a hidden plot in one way. You just ignored Dogtown XD
