Where is QR2??😆😆😆
I bought a CSL DD base and a QR1.
My first impressions seemed pretty good, the QR1 looks and feels well made with good materials but connecting the QR1 with the wheelbase requires relatively a lot strength, same for disconnecting it. So I thought at least it will sit tight however during high ffb there´s a constant rattling noise and a little bit of play. I guess it comes from the 5 metal balls inside the QR1. So I always need to install the little screw for proper feedback which eliminates the "Quickrelease" part.
And considering that it costs 100€ it´s a bad product.
Neither the materials used nor the quality justify these prices!
Fanatec is sending me a replacement QRlite since my current GT DD PRO has some play. Didn't realize my QRlite doesn't even cover the white line 100% when I twist it. I'll make sure to mention that when I get the replacement if the same problem comes up
In many cases, the QR1 also does not fit properly.
It is recommended to use the set screw at 6 o'clock.
It eliminates the sound of grinding metal and subtle discrepancies when Force Feedback is activated.
I have strong rattle sounds with hight ffb. Would it help in that case?

Both QR1 and QR1 lite share the same problem on the CSL DD wheelbase, and its that the QR can slip sideways when the shaft rotates. I see the Podium has solved this by rotating that wheel that expands the rubber part on the shaft, so it will make good friction against the quickrelease. I wonder if the podium shaft can be used on the CSL DD? or otherwise I would love to see Fanatec make one that has this expanding rubber part for the CSL DD, then this would not be a problem anymore.
@@AndrewTSq If I remember correctly, the Podium and CSL DD shafts have different connectors on the DD side. Fanatech's H/W development and release will be very slow and the final cost burden will be incurred, but I think that problem will be solved in QR2, which Fanatech was preparing.
For now, it seems to be the best thing to fix the QR1 with the fixing screw, which is a component. (Qr1 lite has a problem with damage)

Lenkräder für ü200 und 300€ so ein Plastikflaschen QR... Witzlos... Wenn ihr nicht aufpasst werden euch die Anderen bald überholen. Sicher müssen sich Dinge rechnen, aber Gier wird selten belohnt und Corona ist vorbei (wo man jeden Preis verlangen konnte)... Ich bin gerade am Lenkrad shoppen und alleine dieser kleine Plastikmist hält mich von einem Kauf bei euch ab. Aber 99.-€ für die Metallvariante ist wohl der Gipfel der Unverschämtheit.

Fanatec is really joking with this video!... but at the same time is a good one, considering how hard is to swap wheels with their... slow release...
